I here that same knocking on my build!! I'm using skunk2 springs and retainers, when you do the good valve springs you should invest in some good (LIFTERS) or "lost motion sensors" as well! They help the knocking alot!!!

Sounds like piston slap. I got similar problem. The pistons sleeves have been honed to 0.004'' which is too much. In mine, it's worse when the engine is cold and almost go away once hot.

Nope, the 10,000rpm cut after I re-chipped the ECU. I have never intentionally revved up to the 10K limit, but accidentally yes. I am comfortable at 9500rpm during spirited driving and 8500rpm during normal "unchallenged" driving..

agreed, they are wrth the money. getting the power from the motor to the ground can be lost in transition from the rotating engine to the wheels.

That is acually how a tuned big cam honda should idle and sound, my friend had pro2 and it was idling like stock but at 1000rpm.
Also, the knocking sound is just normal, it is what happend when running a strong aftermarket valvetrain.
Big cam don't mean shitty big v8 style idle, poor tuning mean shitty idle.
