@TheLiquified All they said was that L was raised in England, but they never mentioned whether he was actually English or not. But I suppose it would be hard to find a white person that speaks Japanese and is in the "ideal" image of L.

Actually, the really scary one in death note is ryuk himself. It was him who started everything, and he doesn't give a f*** about love, which makes him practically immortal. While light and l were burning all of their mind and soul to battle each other, he simply stood on the sideway and grinned like a real psycho, like "We shinigami don't even have to think to kill". Plus he has the most funny, and most creepy, and most fishy (literally dudes, he looks like a fish) face one can ever imagine xD
