My source is logic. For instance a 13ft croc on average would tend to weigh around 900 lbs but an 18ft croc would be pushing 2000 lbs despite only a 5ft difference in length, the croc is over 2x the size. That means crocs get bigger EXPONENTIALLY as they grow longer.
