Actually I apologise, although pav spent 2003 playing 95% of his football on the ball, he was selected as a half forward flank, (just googled it to check!) but he got his AA selection on his performance in the midfield. In the modern game half forward and back flanks are psudo on ball roles but yes you are correct so I take back my comments! He also missed selection i n 2004 but was selected in 05 not a bad run though.

Don't know about your stats there champ. He didn't get selected as an all australian in 04 and sure as hell didn't get picked as a midfielder in 03. Don't doubt his a great player, but he aint no Judd. That 5 goal game against the Lions at just 19 was one of the most unbelievable things i've ever seen, mainly because of the way he kicked them. May not sound that amazing but when you think about that is a fair achievement, considering people such as my dad and I love footy and both love Geelong yet neither of us are members. Besides I bet no other Australian sport comes close to that.

@oscarwyatt69 I dont want to diss AFL, I am a fan - however, American Football is a far bigger sport, and is in fact the fastest growing sport in the world, not Aussie Rules. Aussie rules has a relatively small fanbase outside of Australia. American football on the other hand is very big not only in America, but also in Canada, Mexico, Britain, Germany and the Netherlands. Yes, there are pockets of popularity for AFL in South Africa and NZ, but not substantial popularity.

Actually I apologise, although pav spent 2003 playing 95% of his football on the ball, he was selected as a half forward flank, (just googled it to check!) but he got his AA selection on his performance in the midfield. In the modern game half forward and back flanks are psudo on ball roles but yes you are correct so I take back my comments! He also missed selection i n 2004 but was selected in 05 not a bad run though.

He's very very very good, certainly the best midfielder, but I would take Pavlich or Goodes over Judd, Pav by a nose i think He's a superstar in every position 2002 all Aust Backman, 2003, All Aust midfielder, 2004 2005 2006 all Aust forward, I dont know of anyone getting All Aust all over the ground in the entire history of the game dont think it has been done, if not pav then straughany for sure! But judd is a freak.

Don't know about your stats there champ. He didn't get selected as an all australian in 04 and sure as hell didn't get picked as a midfielder in 03. Don't doubt his a great player, but he aint no Judd. That 5 goal game against the Lions at just 19 was one of the most unbelievable things i've ever seen, mainly because of the way he kicked them. Hard to believe he still has another 10 years of footy left in him!
