Poole is a hero for standing up the the corruption that was deep rooted in the LAPD for years. And when he did his job to investigate certain murders the cheif shut his case down. Then Poole went on and left the LAPD because he would not go along with the scandals in the first place.

What could he have possibly gained from providing this testimony? He's been ostricized and outcasted from the LAPD. He's made more enemies than friends and what you seem to be alluding as "business connections" that could make him rich and famous. I can see the sincerity in his words. Regardless though, this documentary at minimum proves that there's more to their deaths than investigations have shown.
