@NewtsTestChannel It's by Brian Eno and it's called An Ending. It's been used in loads of things, including Top Gear and tonnes of TV shows, not sure about the movies though.
@Smokerspack Thanks for that. Loving the reviews. Very entertaining and watchable. Good to see real world reviews of every day cars - keep up the great work.
Looking forward to a hot hatch review later in the year, maybe when the new turbocharged Renault Clio Sport takes on the Ford Fiesta ST? Or maybe the new Focus ST versus new Astra VXR, Golf GTi etc. I'll stay tuned!
@drmanos1 There's a video we made of the RS Trophy and while I agree with you, the RS Trophy is a race car that's road legal and the SEAT Leon Cupra R is a Road car with 5 doors that you can take on the track!
Shitty interior and build quality, too many rattles, I don't care how quick it is, still a p.o.s., no mitsu for me. Waiting the VW GTI R, (no alfa in Canada yet, so sad)
Absolutely fantastic video. I really enjoyed watching it!
I was really eager to find out what your thoughts were on the new cloverleaf.
But seeing you open the taps on it has really made me think... Especially when compared to the Cupra R!
It might be a difference in the sound equipment but the engine sounds a little more rev-happy in the Giulietta 1.4 veloce review when you ring the granny out of it?!
Would be interested to know how you think they compare on sound alone..
@cdbimini ahh well observed, yes there was different mics used for both cars. The Cloverleaf makes a great sound but the Leon makes the sound of thunder when you press the loud pedal.
But then they are very different cars. Even thinking back on it now, I'd still have the Leon for a daily car.
The Evo is as safely mental as you can get, it just steers around corners that other cars can't possibly match.
Thanks for watching the vid, there's tonnes more to come.
@Smokerspack I took your advice and bought a Cupra R..!
I feel in love with it as soon as I had a test drive of the lower spec FR 2.0.
And i much preferred it to the Golf GTI & R. . They just seem a little too plain and ordinary in terms of styling. And the Golf R is well over £30k! with the same engine as the Cupra R but with 4-wheel drive, which eats into the passenger / boot space just seems far too cramped!
5 doors, leather interior, sat-nav, blue tooth, 19" wheels as standard. I love it!
@oO0XIII0Oo Ammm I just have no words to describe how bad your grasp of the English language is. I take you mean the launch of the car? It's about getting off the line quickly, spinning tyres does not get you speed, just smoke.
@Smokerspack So the purpose of the acceleration was to arrive soon at high speed? I take back what I said, this was pure professionalism not to spin the wheels. My English is not very bad, but I lack the vocabulary.
@ascolti I was glad to hand the keys back because it drinks petrol like and alcoholic on a Saturday night after winning the lotto but very sad because driving and Evo is a fantastic experience
Not only that, but if you pay Mitsubishi prices, it seems to be oiled by the blood of Botticelli cherubs! Plus you'll need to plan ahead because the tyres will only last 7k miles.
Just ordered a Giulietta 1750 QV. Metallic Red with black turbines. Love at first sight !
Also, 1745 cc and 8 lt/100km avg consumption is perfect for lower taxes and for my wallet. I wanted a beautiful, fast and civilized 5door car for me and my family and that is what I've got. Not going to Nurburgring anytime soon so no need for any Cupra or Evo.
@drmanos1 I drove the DS4 earlier this year in the UK and it was great, I'm not sure it can beat that Italian feel of the Alfa but I have a full test of the DS4 coming later this year, there'll be a video of that too. Thanks for watching, how's Athens?
Point is people who will consider buying a qv would have never thought of buying a cupra or especially an evo. Tottaly different mentallity in car buying.
Good review, as always but I wouldn't buy any of them. The SEAT is long in the tooth and I would't pay that money for what has become a sub-Skoda brand.
The Alfa - well looking at Carzone it seems Irish buyers are reluctant to buy the excellent 1.4 170 model - plumping instead for 100bhp ish diesels and petrols. Sad...
The Evo - just not my thing...
Outta all of em I'd take the Alfa but...with own money it would be something else entirely!
@JasonLouk Well done Jason, you spotted the canon strap making a guest appearance! Yes we actually use a good bit of canon stuff during filming. 7D, 5D II and a 500D. There's some Kodak stuff knocking around too
A meter that tells you which wheel is getting power? LoL. He must've hit his head pretty hard on the A-pillar getting in because I've never heard of ANY Evo having such a thing.
And acceleration is "quite tame"!? 0-60mph in 4.6 for any car under $60,000 isn't tame at all.
Only fool can pick that "more borring than Golf" crap besides Gulietta.

What's the soundtrack that kicks in around 14:43. Recognise that from a film.......

Its not exactly a fair match. You cant compare these cars...
The Leon should be compared to the Focus ST R, Astra OPC etc.
The Giulietta against the Audi 2.0T, Golf GTI etc
The Evo against the Scooby WRX STI.

@RandomGRK reads like a shopping list from dreams. Shame that most of those cars won't be on the roads in Ireland much anymore.
Lining up the three cars in a row took huge planning and no doubt we'll have another triple test in the future.
Cheers for watching

But you need to service it every seven feet!
Not only that, but if you pay Mitsubishi prices, it seems to be oiled by the blood of Botticelli cherubs! Plus you'll need to plan ahead because the tyres will only last 7k miles.
