i like how some of josephines moves were used. but still not as good as hers. it kinda seems like when people try to imitate her dance, the only thing that is really seen is the whole sexy attitutude that she carried, when she wanted to entertain both men and women. her moves were both exotic, sexy and fun all at the same time.
Use your profile, we need more chin - You are looking down a lot. Convince me - Everything is life from the tips of your index fingers, to the shake of your shoulders, and even the bananas on your skirt. You have potential!
Heh heh...sorry...I am a big fan of Bechet...ruined many a UT pot party in the early 70's with my old records--his old version of "Summertime" on Blue Note got me hooked. Too bad Bechet, Baker, et al had to go to Europe to be accepted--our loss.
I think u did a good job...u got her sexiness and her fun spirit

This is actually "Jungle Drums," by Sidney Bechet (also on sax).

Isn't that the Josephine Baker original banana dance that made her the "Toast of Paris?"

The great Sidney Bechet played for many years for Hot Club de France with Django Reinhardt on guitar.
