That's like all the idiots who say "Well if you read the book it explains." in regards to any book based movie as if the book or in this case comic book justifies the movie, Which by the way it doesn't. So yes the movie is fine for someone who already knows a bit about the character and his history, but the movie was trying to appeal to the mainstream audience.

@clamz94 Referring back to my first comment You shouldn't have to read the book/comic for a movie to make sense. The LOTR trilogy makes sense without reading the books. The green lantern should make sense without reading the comics. Also The movie wasn't intended for fans of the lantern, it was intended for the mainstream audience.

I actually didn't mind the movie, it wasn't that bad. I mean it's nothing like IronMan or the Dark Knight but it was pretty decent. It could have used a lot more work I agree but it wasn't terrible.

I personally loved this movie. Green Lantern and one other movie were both probably the best movies I've seen all year, especially compared to the newer "horror" movies they come out with. I don't see how it can get all these bad ratings and reviews.
