amazing to think that i am part of the short generation that would recognise this music, and those younger than me won't because they would have gone straight for the latest sims - 2 or 3.

i definately took this music forgranted when i was younger. the sims 2 and 3 dont have anything to compare to this! x

first time I played it started building a family.. grown up get older , starting a family get kids.. get old.. and then the moment before you die.. looking to all the pictures you have made in your sim live, all these memories...

i can honestly say, as a FPS gamer and other first person games, that Sims 1 was the most epic game of its time and it DEFINITELY has the best music of any game in the world :)

@callumctc It's by Jerry Martin and Marc Russo, I think this one is just called "Build Mode 4" though, some of the build modes themes didn't have names.

@SonicOverlordUK of curse they have a name!!... look at the sims 2 on the options screen and sound... then look at new age radio stations; you will find this songs with a name ;D

@callumctc I don't remember wich one of them, perhaps there's even multiples of him, but search for "Ludovico Einaudi" (without the quotes) on Youtube, he has loads of good piano music aswell, not included in the game. Hope this helped you out! :)

If you mean the name of the composer, his name is Jerry Martin, and he's the one who has been composing all of the Sims melodies. :)

@callumctc all of the music from the first game is by Jerry Martin, the second and the third is by Mark Mothersbaugh. all of the songs have names, for example first Build Mode track is 'New Beginnings', the second 'Bittersweet' and so on.
