Thanks for the video. It really helps because with all these combo videos they just show you combos and not how to use the fighter themselves. From this video I learned that when people use certain combos or specials at you, don't just go for the uppercut. It leaves a huge window open for a free combo with the lift. If it helps, I love this combo I'll share with you. It's nothing fancy but it is very, very easy and it does 50% damage. back 1, 1, 4, force lift, x-ray. Can't get any easier!

Honestly, you missed out on the fact that Ermac has an EXCELLENT low string with his f.4 by itself. He does NOT need the low combo starter. His f.4 leads him to a stagger state for a free mixup. You can keep making them block the f.4 until they decide to block it low, then you either throw or set-up your unblockable, which you also fail to mention.

I'm pretty disappointed with most of this Ermac video. These are things you can watch with Ermac from high level play. Research more please.

I'm a fairly good smoke player, but everytime ANYONE (from a guy with 12/300 to 123/165 for example) chooses Kung Lao I lose badly (spin, teleports divekicks all prevent me from sweeping. jumping and blocking low)

Who is the best character to counter him?

(Because everytime I'm on a winning streak and feel confident I lose it all due to a kung lao player/same bad player choosing lao)

@TheScreamingGoblin i think one option is the zoning game with ermac, with some fast upercuts against Kung lao's teleports, telekinetic slams against induced dive kicks, trying to stay close to provoque the spin but not that close too fall into it. Another option is cyrax, but u have to be careful timing the bombs and the net play. But Kung Lao is a hardass in the right hands.

You might just be the worst popular guide maker in history. nice combo's never saw you use them in those scrub matches, never saw you zone like you described, never saw you use the low combo at all which deals more damage than sweep and you can not finish it to set up the unblockable as a mixup, same with the 3,1,2. your terrible.

Hey so you can cancel emrac's levitate with down,down and bait your enemy to jump and then use either of your telekinetic moves on them. This makes using Levitate smash useful and is something you should experiment with.

I do fatalities for one reason only: to add +1 to my fatality count for that specific character. I'm not a one trick pony either. I play with several characters and if I haven't done at least 100 with said character I'm going to attempt one on the person I beat. I mean this is all hypothetical because I haven't been able to play a stable game in over a fucking week. Netcode blows.

I wouldn't consider Levitate a con. Not AT ALL. Since you can cancel it or even teleport before the smash and so confuse and/or bait your target.

I am trying to main Ermac so obviously I was waiting for this particular Breakdown. However, I am still pretty down in the learning curve and learning those is a pretty big challenge to me. After some time, I have been nearly fully able to do the Bread n' Butter #1. However, there is just one move in the combos that unable to pull off and that's the high punch right before the last special for the extra 5%. It seem I am unable to get in range in time before the opponent falls on the ground.

@Jrim615 If i understand correctly.. Your saying the combo drops after you jump. kick. and teleport. (all in the air). i dont remember off the top of my head. i think his teleport is down back circle. instead of doing that. click circle down back FAST. and i mean...pretty fast. youll notice ermac will automatically teleport after the kick. Its ok if you didnt punch in the last circle to complete the sequence. It also works with practically all characters.

9:23 I'd like to correct you by saying that Mileena does have a low combo starter, in that she can combo her Back+3 (which hits low) into a Ball Roll. Plus her Down+4 is godlike, even though it doesn't lead into combos. It has crazy range in is incredibly versatile.

I have to start using the smoke movement, sweep into the juggle combo but everytime I see them not block I teleport and then keep doing it even when they block.
