Think about this as a simple point.The book of revelation was not written to US today,it was written FOR us,not to US.It was written to the first century jews.The comparison of the two thousand jews and the jews of the 20th century is irrelevant.I am a history student,and one thing for sure is true,the first century christians and john thought the ceaser was the antichrist!

@777bal How did you come to these conclusions, what is the proof that it was written to just the 1st centuary jews? So what if they thought nero was the antichrist, sure he was an antichrist, which the Bible says there would be plenty of, but he had no image or statue of him that came alive & had to be worshipped. There were no two great witnesses. Many people thought this or that it doesn't make it right, Harold Camping said all the graves would brake open today, doesn't mean he's right.

The only thing I disagree with is this: Do not be deceived. NO man knows the day or the hour, only the Father. To assume any particular date would only result in making one's self look a fool - as so many others have these past couple decades.

@DreadStorm I hope I didn't state a date, "as thus saith the Lord" If I had to guess the end would be soon. I don't think we're in error by living as if Jesus is coming back at anytime. I think you only get in error if you like the parable of the corrupt / lazy servants who live as though your master isn't coming back soon, & start slacking & get into trouble. When their master returns catching them by surprise, we don't want that to happen to us, but to be living as though he is watching us.
