This is actually a good match given the time it was given. Wish they would have had more time, though. And the interference ruined it. It had a Retro vs. Modern feel to it. Could have been speacial. Dumb descions like this are the reason why WCW faltered. Shot themselves in the foot time and time again.

wcw announcers just seemed so lazy and unenthusiastic and CONFUSED about everything....and for bobby heenan to be such a great personality in the WWE back in the day....it sucked for him to be such a bad commentator. It made me think about how everybody in WCW used to say the pay was great but it was no drive in the company, i guess most of em just did a mediocre job after a while. Vince was hands on of every aspect of show presentation in WWE. u dont find a boss like that everywhere

no this is before hand he goes on to win the world title against chris benoit the next week. it was about a month later when goldberg kicked him in the head at starcade. he then wrestle a few matches afte that severely concussed

@drespanyol Yeah it was turning around a bit near the end there but Goldberg ended it with one swift kick, well that and the botched submission move around the ring post, all Goldberg had to do there was stay steady so Bret would not go down on the concrete.

@trikki He was too about money. That why he signed to WCW in the first place. Because WCW offered him more money that the WWE at that time couldn't match. Which he regrats signing since what happened to Owen. WCW missed used him which is nothing new. Because WCW was horriblebly ran as a company. Hall, Nash, and Bret all signed for the money. They all admitted in someone form to that.

Yes, Bret did not want to leave. The same thing was said for Hall and Nash. Watch there shoots. They all leave because Vince couldn't counter offer. WCW offered more money for them. They all went to Vince and told Vince this. Hell Bret said it himself that Vince offered him a 20 year contract. But not get paid as much.

@trikki What fiction are you talking about? That WCW was not ran poorly? That Bret didn't sign with WCW for the money. That basicly all i said. The 20 year contract he signed in 96 look it up. The reason he got out was not direction of ther WWE. It was that Vince could not pay the contract. So Bret was let go, and Bret signs with WCW for the money. Money Vince did not have. Look it up. There's about a 100 sites that has that story when you search Bret Hart 20 year contract on google.
