I'm trying to go Switch in Deep powder. Know i have my New Rocker skies...i think it's much easyier than go with ordinary ones. Yes i can carve backwards. This vid is an old one. Know i have à better technic...agressiv style, more powerful. But, more speed means much more dangerous
@nicolje speedskiing on tele you mos def need to go low, that beeing said many of the skis you'd buy today are so short that your tip would be as far back as your other heel when going deep, thus making it undesirable and unstable. you won't be able to go at it hard standing upright though, not to mention that you look like you've just switched from slalom ^^
damn??? Tell me why? Telemark is a free sport..thank good. If you want - go down. But trust me, going lower is not even better, it's more instabil ... I'vo more space for bumps...i've got more power because of my knee's amcle. Maybe one time - we will meet us in the slope, than you can tty to catch me...ok, you can go forward. Or with fixed bindings. What you wan't.
Free Sport, free mind...free heels, and free style.
@telemadl I almost totaly agree but as you go lower, you get more stability beacouse your center of gravity gets lower. And its also looks cooler aswell ;).
for my opinion, i think you should go lower at each turn. it looks better and you'l have much more controll:) and what bindings is that? not ntn? nice video, greetings from Norway.
With tele are you not supposed to ski to the side of the rear ski?

Can anyone do switch in powder? on the steeps? It seems all of these vids are on groomed trails and the turns include a slide, not a carve.
also, do you always look downhill to initiate? it seems to make the sliding of the ski worse.
I'm trying to learn it....

Looks? Are you guys going to a show? Sometimes you go low (bumps) sometimes you don't (carve). Function over form in this case mates....

yeah, he needs to get his knee down more on the turn - it looks a bit half hearted and too similar to normal switch skiing.
