Great video! I didn't expect the song to go so well with them, but it does indeed. I especially liked the really quick cuts at the bridge of the song, how did it go? 'Back in time, to the moon...' That was neat. Nice work, thank you!

I think hair pin would be the right term in this case and that would make sense. I guess it would serve the same function as the large hat pins that women used to wear.

The apparent attraction between the Doctor and one of the actresses who played Rommana was because were was some some attraction between the actors in real not because the characters were to be presented like that.
Well, the writers seemed to be a *tiny* bit aware of it, since they did the little christmas skit with The Doctor and Romana making out behind K-9. Certainly not to averse to a little shippiness.

I think they used hair pins (not sure if it is the right term) to keep the hat in place. It is very small to stay in place on its own.
