  • What is the purpose of the dollar sign at the beginning of each line? Also can it be changed to a different symbol?

  • @x0fx3 The $ sign means you are not logged in as Root. If you were Root, the symbol would be a #.

    (you might already know this sense this was 3 months ago.)

  • a suggestion for the future: i've found alias to be a very useful command, especially in .baschrc

    would be nice for you to make a video explaining this for people, i'm sure many will find it useful. i'd do it, but you'd be way better at it.... good job for getting info out to those who don't know ++++
