  • My Grandfather is Eighty-five years old and drove truck until he was about eighty-two. I discovered Red Sovine while rifling through my grandfathers Cassette tapes as a young boy not even eight at the time. I'm not twenty-six and I fight competitively and though I've changed through the years I carry the memories and virtues of Reds songs with me everywhere I go. This fall I will fight for the first time in my home area and my grandfather will be present his nickname is Red I am very excited.

  • @nking1975 I think the song you're looking for is Little Rosa.

  • @nking1975 the song you are talking about is called teddy bear's last ride

  • AWESOME!!!!! Granted I remember this playing on the radio all the time but the animation is an awesome touch

  • My father never drove a rig, but he sure did drive. We've been cross country together so many times. North, south, east and west. Passed down his Avalanche to me. I love my dad, and he knows it. This year will mark nearly 13 years since our first road trip together.

  • @Hartford1992 My daddy is a delivery driver for a mail company. He don't drive a rig, but uses his personal truck for his work. We worked many nights together when I lived back home near him. We listened to Red Sovine every other weekend and us singing Sovine's hits are my favorite memories! :^)

  • You guys are poor wiped puppies...

  • I grew up with diesel pulsing through my veins, a many a night sleeping in the rig as a young fella between Sydney and Tamworth/ Northwest NSW to the music of this and the legendary Slim Dusty. Daddies long dead now and I now drive the lonely long stretches of central Australia with Slim, Red, Tammy and others reminiscing of days long gone but never forgotten

  • i love this sng it remnds me of my dad being gone all te time n i jus hope as a mother i dnt have to b away frm my kids this much...

  • NICE!!!!

  • great song, great video. anyone else notice the blocks in front of the wheels?

  • @depsterboy The exhaust is beneath the bumper. It is an Air Force R-9 fuel truck. Behind the cab is maze of 4 inch aluminum fuel plumbing. Behind that is a 5000 gallon tank of jet fuel. Running the exhaust forward is just a good idea. I'll bet money this is Kunsan Air Base Korea. Search google maps for "35.906728,126.622088" without quotes and you'll see where I think this photo was taken.

  • why isnt there a stack?

  • its amazing how ol Red can make a stone hard man break down and cry

  • this song is the best cause when i grew up i was riding in my dads truck

  • I drove semi 49 states and Canada for over 22 years, sometimes with my boy right beside me. There are sometimes I do miss driving. But, now my health wont allow me anymore. Boy, I do miss the road.

  • @hunterman1957 I hear you Hunterman, im in the same way.Fair winds and calm seas to ya!

  • @hunterman1957 sounds like my dad he used to take me with him for the longest time until his heartattacks now he cant drive and its the worst possible thing for him he loved it had done it all his life

  • @hunterman1957 That kind of thing almost happened to my old man. My mom tricked me into hating him and skipped town. When I figured out the truth I've gotten close to my old man again. His old truck used to have our names on it. Funny thing was he even adopted me. So I have lots of respect for old trucken men.

  • @LegendStormcrow I t happens doesn't it. My mom had me convinced my dad was at fault for everything. Now as an adult I have became closer to him and found out the truth. I have all the respect in the world for these drivers.

  • Great song, growing up my father was a truck driver, and only home on the weekends. I grew up not really knowing him, I felt like I was robbed of my dad, anyway when I grew up he quit driving and I had a chance to bond but still wish he was around when I was young, I'm now 35 married with 3 kids of my own. My father passed away 2 years ago, This song really made it sink in, because the sad part is after he died it felt like he just on the road but this time he's not coming home.

  • @SuperChuckie34 I'm sorry for your loss.

  • great song

  • Lol. Ole Red would be proud of this! Great job!

  • go to agree love the video and song well done 5*

  • R Model Mack

  • @pepapa1219 Its a DM model Mack, as evidenced by it's 3/4 cab that give it an offset appearance. It looks similar to the R, but the R had a fullsize cab. The DMs usually had a heavier frame and suspension, so these trucks were almost exclusively used as concrete mixers. I think that is what DM stands for "Drum Mixer", but I don't know that for sure.

  • the truck is an Osh Kosh, not sure what model

  • @14BillyYankee88 its a DM model Mack.

  • good song but dont really like how you made the truck talk
