@jbrewno69 - Not on WON.Net - that online multipler service has been gone for quite awhile now. I do believe you can do peer-to-peer multiplayer (client/server) like on a LAN. Will have to check it out.

@alyssio Rapala Pro Bass Fishing looks good, but it's just another arcade type bass fishing game, TB4 has the playability, Lake's and most of all lot's of different species of fish to go after, Only thing TB4 lacks is some live baits, or Dead Baits, Revamp this game and you have a major fishing game on your hands.

IF YOU WANT TO CATCH THE STRIPED BASS IN THE DEMO, you have to slowly troll the lure right in front of their faces. So first you find a pod of stripers, wait till they go in a straightish line (not circling) and get in front of them, cast the lure and tow it behind the boat at the same speed they swim. Try to keep the lure right in front of the biggest one in the bunch. You'll get bored catching so many.

I collect fishing games and have to say, that TB4 is one of the best. It's a shame that the gameplay of an 14 years old game surpasses most up to date fishing-sims, which have nice graphics, but a gameplay for little kids.

My top fishing games are:

"Gone fishing" (a very old dos game, but perfect gameplay) Anno1995

"Real world Flyfishing" 2005

"Trophy Bass 4" 2000

"Trophy Rivers" by Sierra 1997

I also have all those games.

Gone Fishin' had much potential but with only 1 lake and multimedia limitations, it gets boring quick.

Pishtech VR SportFishing also has a lot of potential but I'm not sure if Paul's even going to release a new update (it's been nearly a year now).

i am looking for a game similar to this one i played it as a kid, if you collect fishing games maybe you would know? it started off in like a little pond thing and you could move your boat around the pond to pick your spot then once you picked it you would see a guy standing on his and you could catch a few different kinds of fish it was kinda unrealistic because you could catch fish up to a few hundred pounds lol just wondering if you knew

Man, I loved playing fishing games as a kid. I even had a friend who played with me, and no one else really liked fishing games. We used to play trophy bass fishing 4 and virtual deep sea fishing 2 on pc and sega bass fishing on dreamcast. these games where really hard for little kids so sometimes one person was steering the boat and looking at the sonar or something and the other one was using the rod. ahh, good times...

@tkox13 : You can download a playable demo. Search online and you'll find it ('Trophy Bass 4 demo download'). YouTube won't let me post a link. But it's easy to find. You should be able to buy full retail copies from eBay or bargain bins at software outlets, very affordably.

One sad story.. This game still the best I can find!!  Hell, all they have to do is take this game.. don't change a thing with the engine or programing.. Then make the graphics better and new places to fish... Simple as that...

I also ran into this problem. I think it can be solved by going into the shortcut properties -> compatibility tab and choosing Windows 98 compatibility mode. If not, try Google'ing the problem.

I used to play this game online and in a Ladder League. It was awesome back in 2000/01 and still remains as one of my favourite games of all time (and I can't fish in real-life). Wish there was a PC/PS3 game around now that still allows online play/Ladder tourneys, etc.)... any suggestions welcome.

My fav bass fishing game for the PC. I fish local club tournaments . This one is pretty realistic under the higher settings. Although it still is a little too easy to find fish and they don't respond to weather fronts as they should. But it still is the best game of this type I've played. I would love to get the SC on this one to make improvements

I assume you are trying to Hex edit the files? I have done this before with other games iwthsome success,,,tough going tho. but haven't tried it with TB4 yet...but I would be interested in knowing of any success you have. With Sierra and Dynamax gone_Pity that as near as I can tell the SC is no where to be found. BTW there is another game called "VR fishing" by another small outfit , the dev and looks more like they seriously are building a simulator not a arcade fishing sim.
