I have a question about where to find the mask. I have the premier elements 8 photoshop, and I can't find half of the things people talk about in these tutorials. Any help would be, well, helpful.
Wow. Its about time someone actually made a real tutorial video. Some of us cant afford to go to a real art school and most books art just art portfolios. Thanks.
hi, i want to ask something. I'm sort of new to photoshop and dont know so much about the gradient & masking tool. I've done the exact same thing on 3:44 -clipping mask on the layer above the clothing layer of my char. and the clothing went black to white, not any shadowy view. I know it's stupid, but I'm really curious about it. I'll be glad if you answer back.
Man, this tutorial opened up a whole new world for me. I wish someone would've told me this earlier. Like many, many years ago. Thank you so much for this!
Oh this is a fabulous tutorial! I already use both kinds of masks for my photography work, but I hadn't thought about all the applications it could have for drawing work too. The adding highlights in a clipping mask bit is brilliant. I'm definitely going to use these tips from now on. Thank you!
really nice job on this. Ive never known wat to use layer Masks for, and Ive never asked. So happy ive seen this now, I can see itll be a great help. Should make me do my drawings quicker too :)
thanks a milion times!!!!!! FINALY SOME USEFUL TUTORIAL... ARTS CANT LEARN PPL TO PAINT.. BUT THEY CAN LEARN THEM TO USE THE TOOLS IN THE RIGHT WAY.. THANKS AGAIN !!!!
I thought I could get away without using these type of layers but you seem to be right, they will defenitely make me save hours and hours of work.Thank you for making me realize this
You know A LOT about PS. But if you had to choose a percentage, what percentage do you think you know of all there is to know about PS? Thanks for this tut clipping masks seem very useful. Peace. CR.
sup Bugmeyer I just got the full adobe cs4 set n I want to start bringin my sketches to life like yours, but i dont know if i should learn more bout photoshop or illustrator....which is better in your opinion bug n the rest of you u'tuber's
I understand the layer mask now,but the clipping mask part was too quick, could you get that same effect by just selecting the object on the layer and then adding your shading like you did it would keep it within the object,is it the same thing?
I use paint shop pro 8( It gets the job done). Its so hard trying to take a lot of these tutorials and translate them from photoshop into psp when there is talk of keys to press instead of CG vocabulary.
layers have me perplexed...i have no grasp of how they work and the more i try to learn the more i get confused...i get some of it but the vastness makes me freeze. i can get the effects that i want, but it takes using multiple programs...painter, ability photopaint (a little know program that has all the features but crashes alot) sketchbook, photoshop and even good old paint. how to work on a background with affecting the foreground image? any help?
Thx alot for the videos the way you show and explain your tutorials makes it very easy to understand your very talented please keep it up! any tutorials on restoring pics?
So, basically, clipping masks are like the children of layer masks or layer transparencies, right? IE they inherit the transparency setting of the parent layer.
I just always layer mask everything but that adds up. Clipping masks may save on memory, methinks.
I'm starting to get it. It's not one thing you do that makes a painting. It's a whole series of steps calculated steps involved. I get it now. Thanks for sharing your work flow of calculated steps.
You could do classes and make a cash avalanche, man. D: Someone recommended your tutorials a few days ago and I've already started using them. Something about the way you explain it makes the whole concept sound and become easy. Thanks for not being a deuche. <3
