Shut the fuck up about Sting and Hogan being old. They are two of the greatest wrestlers ever and they combined as one that night. So all you WWE fanboys go back to the screwjob known as Vince McMahon.
I cant belive how many moves were involved there were atleast 2 and how they all lined up with a left punch and hulk blocks left hooks them all they fell to the ground as fast as they could befor springing back to their feet and into stings hands haha... and this might just be me but r they way to fucking old to be doing this shit like the hulk could bearly stand let alone move around... id rather watch WWE coz atleast they are better acting and their in better physical condition lol
So sick and tired of people stating the obvious, we all know hogan and sting are old, should they retire? eventually they will, but your missing the friggin point. The pops they still create even after all these years is what people enjoy.Wrestling is like going to a play at the theater and this is an example of how only a well established persona/character can last decades. Something that will never happen will snoozefest cm punk. longevity is what people enjoy about this.
sting. is and will always be my favorite wrestler from when he was blonde, to when he became "crow" sting to NWO wolfpac sting, to TNA sting. and i am really glad he didn't go to WWE i think they might have ruined him somehow. though it would be cool to see him VS the undertaker
Hogan, meh, he never does any memorable moves or anything interesting. 11:27 still using bleed packets I see, guys? Why did TNA get like this? Sting did okay. Stinger Splash and Scorpion deathlock is cooler than Hogan's back scratching. And then after the match was over SMH, hogan and sting shoulda cleared out and some new young talent should've came in right away for the next match. TNA, wake up! You're doing it wrong.
Hulk showed here that he is still amongst the biggest stars in wrestling - 30 years after his debut. His name is still bigger than anyone else's. His face turn was SPINE-TINGLING.
@crocodiliusz no, absolutely not. In the world of sports entertainment - in fact in the world full stop - Hulk Hogan is perhaps the most recognised name. Its such a famous name.
@crocodiliusz hardly - Hogan set attendance records in Japan that still stand. Back in the 1980's before his trial with Vince McMahon JR took off, he was commanding $10,000 per match - a record at the time. Added to which he was the first IWGP champion [equivalent of the WWE championship] and is to this day, regarded as the biggest American draw in Japanese wrestling history.
This is perhaps the most humiliating moment of the entire industry professional wrestling. This is like looking at a graveyard of forgotten and used up "talent". Oh, and Garrett Bishoff...
This was fucking awful. The ovation none the less, the acting and talent is shit. If they would all wait in line to throw the same kind of punch at Hogan and then wait for him to block it and feebly punch back. I know its all fake but Hogan can't even fake it even remotely. He needs to stay off screen instead of going for the cheap TNA pops in front of 10,000 or less
Wow, I remember watching Hollywood hogan vs sting in Wcw, and I don't watch Tna, I just searched sting vs hogan and this came up, wow gay ass match, they're not on their prime, they past their prime. Tna is just desperate to grab Wwe's attention, but that will never happend
This was a fitting end to the feud of Sting and Hogan carried over from the WCW days, a final showdown and face turn. This was end of the story of what really should have occurred at Starcade. But very glad it now has. Now Sting its time to push Kazarian and Alex Shelley to the top!
I was pretty shocked that this was actually a pretty damngood match. I dont know if its just because its names sting vs hogan meaning to legends fighting that jus tmakes it epic or if it was really a good amtch
@frosty7001 The reason it was a good match is because veterans know how to "work" & you don't need to be a good wrestler to know how to "work" a good match. I knew this would be an acceptable match just like i knew HHH vs. Nash would be also.
Connection with audience, charisma, star power, storytelling, psychology, facial expressions etc. = "working"
Shortcuts like brawling through crowd, blood etc. help also.
I dont know what is more pathetic. A 60 year old who can barely walk vs a 50 year old in the main event. Or TNA trying to imitate the Attitude Era.
TV14 rating does not equal great wrestling - engaging and entertaining storylines do. WCW nearly put WWE out of business, and they were PG for all of their existence. TNA are just grasping and taking ideas that were used 10-15 years ago.
This match is better than the match at WCW Starrcade back in 1997. That match was terrible. This match turned out to be way better than the match the one they had in WCW back in 1997.
i liked that match ,,hogan did well for what he could do with all these operations that he had,,we couldnt ask more of this thing and i was a bit surprise in a good way by the result of it..for fans under 25 years old i can agree that it can be boring to watch,,but for me an ex indy wrestler who's 35 and saw as a small kid this old man wrestle in his prime,,it was a cool moment,,,
I don't watch TNA anymore. I haven't since January 2010 when Hogan showed up in TNA. When I heard about this match, I knew what everyone was thinking: "You've got to be kidding."
But I decided to watch it to see for myself. The match itself wasn't great at all, but my expectations weren't high to begin with, though I will say Hogan did better than I thought. The aftermath on the other hand was definately a great moment. But I still say Hogan needs to leave TNA.
@sgauden02 Hogan did better than expected, which isn't really saying much but at least he didn't get seriously injured or really embarrass himself. The match isn't fantastic, but no Hogan match is. This could be - and for the record I have no idea if it is or not as I don't follow TNA - a decent and respectable final match for Hogan's career.
@Kozzy06 wow, all of that was the most moronic thing i have ever read
this match sucked, Hogan is slow and awkward to watch, he cant sell and he can barely make his own moves look good.
i get it, i get it just fine, i know that when i watch wrestling i expect a good wrestling match, thats why i watch wrestling.
but to call someone a douchebag and say they have no knowledge of wrestling just because they want a quality match from a pair of professionals, thats just moronic
@williamtrevormcneil Listen to the fan response, if you know wrestling, you know it is entertainment, and Hogan is the best in the biz at it so there would be no good to see him leave. But I think he should appear at WWE one last time.
people ask yourself why tna and every promoter puts hogan on top of every promo, now with uk tour why? because he is the greatest ever and still got it
I don't usually watch TNA, and always hear people bash TNA. But this match was great. Considering Hogan has had many surgeries on his back, and both he and Sting are getting pretty old, they sure put on a good show for the fans. Also the Hogan face turn was perfect. The only way it could have been better is Hogan dropping the leg on Bischoff at the end, but I guess due to his health he couldn't really do it. This just shows, TNA isn't crap, they put on some awesome shows. :D
15:15-Hogan face turn. Great, blood drenched, R Rated match, you will never see today on the child and family friendly WWE Sports Entertainment programs.
@douchebagyesman Exactly. Also, that was considered a novelty match. It wasn't some important match in terms of the status of the company like this match is considered to be. And why does Sting need to have the title on him? It makes no sense. He doesn't need the rub. At least WWE is putting their title belts on younger, fresher guys. Seriously, when's the last time Taker or Triple H had a belt? Been a few years, cuz they don't need it.
@Antrizzle2009 Undertaker last had the title in Febuary 2010. He was due for another title at Survivor Series 2010, but the plan was changed due to injury.
@douchebagyesman In recent years in WWE we have had 60+ year old Jerry Lawler was wrestling for WWE Title on PPV, Jim Duggan is on SD this week i belive, 52 year old Kevin Nash, 50+ Finlay, Stroke victim Bret Hart who can't take a worked punch to the head, 50+ Ricky Steamboat & lets not forget the over 40 club of The Rock, Undertaker, Jericho, Kane, Regal, Goldust, Big Show, Mark Henry, Booker T...age doesn't bother me however. Flair & Hogan wrestled in their 50's in WWE throughouts 2000's.
@jason60152 -Sting should is a top ten wrestler of all time, regardless of polls. He has the personality, in-ring skills, mystical nature, long career, etc. He also is a role model and does not use drugs, alcohol, steroids, etc. Out of the ring he is a Christian minister in southern, California. He has never worked for McMahon.
@donn409 Triple h hasnt won a world title in nearly 3 years and taker has done more than anyone over the years to put over younger guys CM punk, mark henry and edge so stop talking shit bout them holding people down you moron.
@mrorange101 You're a fucking liar and you fucking know it. The wrestlers that shits on people are your buddies the Undertaker and HHH. And another thing, you're the fucking asshole. You get that through your fucking thick skull you piece of fucking shit.
Hogan was old and slow when I watched wrestling 20 years ago. It's amazing that he is still old an slow now. Well actually a lot slower, but not so much older, great shape for a guy his age. But the years of beating just messed him up badly, he's probably on a lot of painkillers just to keep him standing in the ring. but i can understand that he does not want to stop, he does not want to feel old and wasted.
Wow sting was my favorite wrestler when I was growing up man he's gone down hill big time hogan, flair shoulda retired about 15 yrs ago I guess there trying to make a check now days what a shitty performance of wrestling I can't believe I ever watched this crap when I was young it is so sad wwe=wwf is so gay now as well hopefully they all go out of biz and mma becomes more popular so maybe they can have more tv time less ppv
i would just say this for tna haterz, you all saw the episode of raw 3 weeks ago in philly and then u all saw this tna bound for glory, even a child can tell the crowd at tna bfg was so awsoem energetic, loud ,they were into matches only because of one reason, "wrestling",but on raw episode in philly crowd was dead now u all decide,i watch wwe and tna both, but wwe still cares more about entertainment, but in tna wrestling still matters if u are a real wrestling fan u wont deny this a fact.
An incredible match? It lasted 10 minutes with two Grandads getting out of breath. Legends they may be, but TNA would have them both in wheelchairs and fans would still call it epic
@Crazy4TheWeekend Well it was decent at best, but think about it. This match couldve ended A LOOOOOT worse than it was, and this was also, in a small way, basically a nostalgia trip for anyone who watched WCW (although it wasnt near that level of awesome), but like I said, couldve ended worse.
Shut the fuck up about Sting and Hogan being old. They are two of the greatest wrestlers ever and they combined as one that night. So all you WWE fanboys go back to the screwjob known as Vince McMahon.

@DjDefero It is not about the match. It is about the Immortal Legends of the Squared Circle and the hype leading up to the match.
Buckeyecat2002 1 month ago
@Buckeyecat2002 Didn't say anything about the hype... The match sucked, 'nuff said.

Sting is like the Undertaker of TNA. He should sign with WWE just to beat 'Taker at Wrestlemania then go back to TNA.

@Buckeyecat2002 Well i'm glad to hear you are a fan of Sting:)
jason60152 1 month ago
@jason60152 -Sting should is a top ten wrestler of all time, regardless of polls. He has the personality, in-ring skills, mystical nature, long career, etc. He also is a role model and does not use drugs, alcohol, steroids, etc. Out of the ring he is a Christian minister in southern, California. He has never worked for McMahon.

Hogan was old and slow when I watched wrestling 20 years ago. It's amazing that he is still old an slow now. Well actually a lot slower, but not so much older, great shape for a guy his age. But the years of beating just messed him up badly, he's probably on a lot of painkillers just to keep him standing in the ring. but i can understand that he does not want to stop, he does not want to feel old and wasted.

i would just say this for tna haterz, you all saw the episode of raw 3 weeks ago in philly and then u all saw this tna bound for glory, even a child can tell the crowd at tna bfg was so awsoem energetic, loud ,they were into matches only because of one reason, "wrestling",but on raw episode in philly crowd was dead now u all decide,i watch wwe and tna both, but wwe still cares more about entertainment, but in tna wrestling still matters if u are a real wrestling fan u wont deny this a fact.

An incredible match? It lasted 10 minutes with two Grandads getting out of breath. Legends they may be, but TNA would have them both in wheelchairs and fans would still call it epic
Crazy4TheWeekend 1 month ago
@Crazy4TheWeekend Well it was decent at best, but think about it. This match couldve ended A LOOOOOT worse than it was, and this was also, in a small way, basically a nostalgia trip for anyone who watched WCW (although it wasnt near that level of awesome), but like I said, couldve ended worse.
