Long ago, when I was working on a campaign we were asked to volunteer, knock on doors and assemble mailers. We went to rallies with corny hand-lettered signs. Sure, we were asked to donate -- but money was not the be-all, end-all thing and it wasn't going to determine the success or failure.

Now, if you support someone, you'd better start writing the checks...the earlier the better...because in the end the one with the biggest bankroll wins.

Anyone who can't see any difference between the Democrats and Republicans must be willfully ignorant. If Al Gore had been President since 2001, we would never have invaded Iraq, and we would have liberal judges on the Supreme Court instead of Roberts and Alito, just for starters. It's so easy to proclaim such, but remember it was Gore's boss, the male part of the Clinton dynasty, who was grinning as he pressed the button launching cruise missiles to attempt to kill Osama Bin Laden (we missed as usual) which escalated matters and resulted in the World Trade Center disaster. And then there was Democrat Kerry who claimed he would basically pursue the same war in Iraq, except that he would do it "better". So . . what's the real difference?

Good documentary, but there is a mistake at 2:47. The guy says we haven't had a 3rd party candidate get an electoral vote since 1968, but John Hospers got 1 electoral vote in 1972. Maybe that what he was thinking of.

This great video demonstrates what we have all experienced for years -- the enforced vote for the least horrible choice. Many have stopped voting because they will not participate in that sham. We need to take the country back and let folks feel the power of proportional representation where all elected persons participate in governing to debate and deliberate on the real best solutions -- business should be subservient to the electorate, not the other way around. No solitary rule!

Absolutely essential prior to voting in the general election. Seems like the only democratic decision is debate between Nader versus either Dem or Repub, since Democrats and Republicans are just versions of the same politicians, and stake their differences around issues of little consequence.

Too many Americans treat elections as a chance to pick a winner rather than the opportunity to vote for those who best represent their ideals. Voting isn't about picking the winning candidate.
