the guy singing is always playing with Ali...a band member?? I'm sorry I can't recall his name =/ check out the 8th video of this serious and its mostly him...
It does look like the scene from "Beneath the Planet of the Apes," but in the movie they danced better & their mouths weren't full of mumbo jumbo coon gumbo.
It´s incredible to see the children charmed by the music. The beauty of this simplicity... Why when we think of third world countries we only think of them as being poor?
elenaperdiguero, don't confuse being poor with being cultureless or without beauty. Mali is in fact very poor, and Malian enjoy music. . . not a contradiction or a surprise.
Salaam all mali peoble, am from Somalia and love Malian culter it same as Somalis, I can tall you the is not Ali Farka but his neveu ther is another clip on this side telling Ali give up all this music and go back to Masjid and his famely.
Absolutely beautiful. I love Ali Farka Toure's music. Do you happen to know who is on percussion and on ngoni? The percussion is especially wonderful (as well as Ali Farka himself, of course!)
