A few years ago while I was in Italy I tried some pizza (3 different places), it wasn't that great. Probably because I was in the main tourist area, I don't know.

Nothing beats a good ol' fashion cheesy greasy pepperoni pizza with a gentle slightly thicker than thin crust. Man this is giving me cravings!

i think noch's (#3) is okay, but the buttery crust and super fresh garlic/veggie pie at harvard house of pizza further north on mass ave tastes a lot better to me. also noch's is too inconsistent - great on some days and cardboardy on others.

Flatbread is a great place, and much, much better than most. Wonder Bar has seen better day's! Frank Pepe's is a tasty dee~light, they know how to make a pie. Pizzeria Regina in Boston is great, all others are sub-par @ best. Santarpio's is better than most, the clientelle and staff are as bizzare as the folks @ the Lowell Diner @ 3AM in the morning. Upper Crust is quite the scrumptious symbiosis of flavors on their pies, worth the trip!

No chain pizza is very good. They are good, but nothing compared to great pizzas. Round Tables is very good. Soft, bread like crust is no good! The crust has to be very chewy and crisp on the outside. THe toppings really doesn't make any difference, it's all in the crust and how it's baked.
