So why are you fearful of that?
Just naturally afraid of death, and not ever being able to experience anything ever again is what gets me so much. It is just the total cessation of existence that is so scary.
It isn't really the void I dwell on, life is pretty much miserable and I see no real reason I should live it, but that fear of never knowing anything anymore. I just can't stomach an oblivion. So I figure, may as well live. It is inevitable anyway and there is a lot I have left to see

I dropped out of school on the other side of the country with my girlfriend of 4 years. In the first three weeks, she cheated on me. My college experience was pretty bad. First of all my parent,Mom and Stepdad, they just sit there and verbally torute me and say the love and care bout me. wtf? i'v gotten into fights with them and gone deeper into there hearts and found out they could care less about me! Suicide is epidemic. Depression is a normal response to a cold world. College is a highly competitive atmosphere. It would help if students visited the schools before committing their life and wealth to it to find out what outlets there are for socializing other than bars and drinking parties. That's not everyone cup of tea. Home sickness is also normal and can be very hard to shake, even if all you ever wanted was to leave home. No one who's ever been born is a loser. Then I had a dream that I saw him walk out of a fire that I took upon myself to command (that it decrease). He walked passed me and said, "Thank you." It was confirmation that my prayers had been answered. Don't give up, my friend. I've suffered from depression for circumstances and prayed to God, and he held me fast.

Everyday people tell me I need to go to a asylum, you don't have anything to be depressed about, depression is a fade, that I'll just "snap out of it". No... I won't...I've had this for 5 years of my life, I never snapped out of it. I still have it. It's always there. Praying doesn't help, because when you're depressed you don't believe in anything anymore, you believe no one will help you, not even God(if you believe in him).

@7255202 i am recovering from depression/anxiety and suicidal thoughts...there is hope. i'm happy, and peaceful. it's a process and takes time, but it's not "circumstances or people" that make us miserable and anxious...it's negative, untrue, self-limiting beliefs that govern our lives. change the negative deep-rooted beliefs (that we recieved from other people, parents, teachers, religion, media etc.) and you're whole life will change. i also have a strong belief in Jesus now, too.

Suicide is epidemic. Depression is a normal response to a cold world. College is a highly competitive atmosphere. It would help if students visited the schools before committing their life and wealth to it to find out what outlets there are for socializing other than bars and drinking parties. That's not everyone cup of tea. Home sickness is also normal and can be very hard to shake, even if all you ever wanted was to leave home. No one who's ever been born is a loser. The point is, she was at a time in her life that was VERY blessed, and she couldn't see that. We tend to be ungrateful of things when we're young and inexperienced and that was the case here. People with aspergers focus excessively on one thing (guilty) but they can't read body language (I read too much) and appear to lack empathy (I had to give my cat away because I worried so much about him). I'm more ADHD I suspect. (I like the Judge, but I don't like FOX!) I admit I didn't get your nuance.

@AllPro777 I have a cousin that must have suffered like you have. He ended his life a couple of years after I had last seen him. Always a believer I prayed nightly for his soul. Then I had a dream that I saw him walk out of a fire that I took upon myself to command (that it decrease). He walked passed me and said, "Thank you." It was confirmation that my prayers had been answered. Don't give up, my friend. I've suffered from depression for circumstances and prayed to God, and he held me fast.
