I grew up on Griffey, despite being from Cincinnati. Big Reds fan, but always hold a soft spot for Seattle because of the 90's. Griffey wasn't a god in Cincinnati, but I'm happy to see him back where he's truly appreciated. One of the greatest to play the game, ever.

Everyone freaking out is an understatement! I was at the game and it was crazy beyond belief. My friend and I (and the fans of course) would not calm down until the Diamondbacks were up to bat. Even though it wasn't a sold out game and people started leaving after the seventh inning stretch (even before that) I haven't heard Safeco Field that loud since... ever with only that many people!
