i used to hate it when this show would start when i was watching tv, until one day i came home tired from work and this was on and i just watched cuz i couldnt find the remote..and i watch it everytime i can now lol
scrubs is probably the best comedy ive watched. because it does have laughs but it is also so emotional its like a literal pain. dr cox at bens funeral and when he loses it after trying to resusitate(cants spell sorry) the guy on the bed with carla were without a doubt the saddest things ive ever seen not only on scrubs but also on any movie or tv series. that is the reason why i watch it so much. it can contain every emotion where most things only work on the one emotion.
i love the song how to save a life and everyone was talking about it being on scrubs xx i watched that and it led me here xx i don't even watch scrubs and I am crying my eyes out xx
Gotta say the camera movement at 6:35 perfectedly catches the panic of Carla and especially Dr Cox when they're trying to save the patient. When he freaks out is so affective and you can really see the fear in carlas eyes.
john c mcginley is the most underrated actor I can remember in a long time. the show would be nothing without him in my opinion. he is simply brilliant. not to mention the songs they choose mixed with the acting it's really hard to not shed a tear during these scenes. i have no shame in saying i'm guilty of that
I'm crying like a little bitch. Seeing Dr Cox cut up is so powerful cause in 99% of the episodes you just get the impression that nothing could knock him off his stride. Sort of shows how everyone has their breaking point. Just got to be there for them when they break.
My Lunch (the episode where Dr. Cox gives up and leaves the hospital after his patient dies) made me cry like a baby. Soooo goooood. I can't listen to How To Save a Life without crying now.
Im a Scrubs fan and during the episode of Bens death i cried like 5 times it was so damn deppressing and im a dude (A wussy dude) and in the epsode My Lunch i was so upset that all the transplant peole died and Dr Cox gets so pissed and sad and Carlas' face was so reallistic it made my eyes water! any hoo good job finding saddest moments but dont forget season 8 last episode becasue it was the last REAL season (season nine was bad)
Scrubs always made me so emotional, people say it's not funny and crap like that..but not many shows made me laugh, cry and feel as much as scrubs did...
That part with the transplant patients gets me everytime especially cause dr. Cox loses it and just leaves. which was not normal for him because he always deals with death and can go on. Thats why it was bad for him to get too close to his patients
This is exactly what I needed. It made me cry, made tears go down my cheeks, and allowed me to get some much need relief from my depression and sadness. Even more so than all the entertaining, funny things I've watched her on YouTube for the past four hours.
The saddest moment ever was acually when they decided to try to do a season without the main character and the janitor. The last season was just nowhere near as good as the main show.
i've watched through scrubs seasons 1-8 countless times, and I'm a guy who did not feel the least bit sad at the end of marley and me or things that other people cry really hard over, and the thing with dr. cox losing those 3 patients makes me cry every time. the look on carla's face the whole time theyre tryin to resuscitate him, and when cox just loses it, that is the most real drama i will ever see on a screen. the real scrubs needs to come back for 8 more seasons, none of that med school
you're missing carla's goodbye to laverne which is one of the saddest moments in scrubs. Also i wouldn't say said but very emotional the entire episode in which they jd and turk stay with that dying patient till he passes.
I watched tons of movies. I watched people I was close with die. I never cried.
But this show, it just pulls me in it. It already weakens me, but the scene with the 3 rabies patients, was the first actual thing that hit me emotional. McGinley plays his role just that good, his eyes made me beg for him to get him back up on his feet again.
@diablo1675 You wanna know what made me sob? when Dr. Cox was gonna go home when his shift wasent over, and JD tells him the thing Cox told JD before, and Cox just says, while crying: "Yea, you're right."
You should have had the part where Carla was saying good-bye to Lavern... But these were perfect choices. I loved them all, and I have to say the Rabes infected organs and Lavern's car accident were some of the hardest ones to watch.
@ZeldaFan324 The one with Dr. Kelso isn't sad as it proves as is said at the end of the episode, sometimes to unite people you have to give them someone to hate. The last episode isn't as sad as they ruined it with season 9. Two of the others had episodes backing them up which are Ben's death with Jordans friends and Dr. Cox's breakdown after the deaths. The last one as I have said before just impacted me enough in that 1 episode alone to sneak in as it shows how the patients really feel.
@ZeldaFan324 Unfortunately I disagree. JD seeing his future shows that he has a long and happy life still to live therefore not a sad moment. The other 3 had points in themselves that stood out above every other episode of Scrubs making them more emotional therefore putting them in my top 3.
the beginning of this reminds me of when i was crying because i was scared of my mom having cancer, she took me and held me and told me everything would be okay. she passed away still, but it takes a lot to comfort someone else in that position
What I love about the Laverne scene is that it's a huge change in her character. She's usually a comic relief charatcer who always gossips and is in people's business, and this is the first we see of her being emotional and her character truely develop.
@haydesj the third is a very underrated episode, but i dont think its that sad, because the episode is based around comforting george, and how death is the next great adventure. Another underrated episode is the one with the paralyzed guy who communicates through the computer, it really develops the janitor as a character and i cry every time.
@haydesj You know, george dying is my no.1. I felt like Scrubs kinda returned to it's older episodes with that episode. I also felt it was something that was so revealing and so relatable, that everyone coulda got something out of it. I also felt that this was probably something very common in hospitals. A man, no family, dying by himself, and convinced he is the only one afraid. Glad someone else actually felt that moment was as touching as I thought it was.
@elektrash17 not in my top 3 because it was just another person dying in a hospital from a stupid driver. You see that regularly. You rarely get to see how the person dying feels from their point of view and george's death really impacted me.
@DJThrillB As I said to someone a while ago. The only reason Laverne's death isn't in my top three is because it is another person dying from a stupid driver. Unfortunately that happens too often and it just didn't really bring out any emotion in the characters other than Carla and she blocks it out for most of it. The 3 patients who died of rabies showed that doctors too can take a death to heart and was a really emotional scene. Ben's death shows that people are willing to repress memories of
@DJThrillB people who have died to block out the hurt that they feel which is shown by Dr. Cox at his funeral especially after he realises where he is when JD says "Where do you think we are". I chose George's death because it shows the impact of knowing you are going to die soon from the point of view of a patient. Just seeing the feeling that George went through proves that people may say they are fine, but on the inside they are really scared. Laverne's death would be top 10 but not top 3.
