I liked this a lot more than ed1 and ed2. So no your not alone. I think if this film had been marketed as the b-movie comedy it is to begin with, it's popularity would be equal with ed. I remember the 93 marketing talked about only horrifying horror and gore. It did not mention anything about the absurdly funny quality's throughout the film. It at time's is absolutely hilarious, I'd go as far as to compare it to Monty Python.

ed1 is much better than ed2 on pure horror if you ask me. ED one is a real horror movie, where ed2 is all funny camp. If I was going on straight scary b horror, ed1 is actually one of the more memorable ones, especially the last 30 min up to the ending. Scared me shitless when I was 12. Hit it!!!!!!!!!! I was like what just happened? My eyes were scared.

@cheapcape Have you ever heard of a "so-bad-it's good" film? What you described is EXACTLY a "so-bad-it's-good" movie. It has some of the worst acting/dialogue, but it's SUPPOSE to be bad. That's what makes it good. I recommend you see "Machete", "Piranha 3D", and "Snakes on a plane". All "so-bad-it's-good" movies I listed got critically praised. Piranha 3D has a 76% on Rotten Tomatoes, Machete has a 74%, and Snakes on a plane has a 68%. All good scores.
