This movie taught me never to let a guy control me no matter what, made me a little bit crippled for a while but now I am not in any hurry to be in a relationship. In this case, if you see violances in a relationship, speak up.

In today's time, there are a lot of ways one can get help and protection from your exact situation. I had to watch this movie for a Victimology class I am taking, so trust me, there are ways to get help. Search online for your specific State. Don't sit and take it and let this happen to you. I think alot of Nikkis sadness revolves around the fact that she pushed her into the relationship. But if I were Nikki I would have still told someone. That night that Stacey stayed over at rachels they seemed to be rebonding. Then again, she thought they would break up. But still, the neck bruise could have been fatal too...

Can I just say I love the contrast between Stacey's and Nikki's boyfriends. Bobby was intense, all love poems and flowers but a complete psycopath, and Nikki's boyfriend was just so solidly supportive throughout everything- I believe that's a better of love than what Stacey thought she had.

To be honest i kinda laugh when the judge gave him his sentence his face expression was priceless know you see this is what you get for killing someone it was such a sad story i cry everytime i see this movie maybe us girls can learn something from Stacy and what happen to her violence is NEVER the answer to ANYTHING.

anyone or hit anyone. It's so sad that because they saw how their own parents reacted in these situations that they in turn feel this is the 'norm' and it's ok. One can become completely manipulated by 'puppy love' when that young age along with being affected when an adult my terms of endearment that are whispered into a woman's ear. If you are the victim of physical abuse/stalking....contact the authorities immediately and run away and don't look back at scumbags like Bobby portrayed.
