I can get that kinda tone on my Line6 POD XT LIVE quite easily, do you have a Mesa amp simulation on your pod? I've never seen what things you can do with those things.

no man, you only get the speaker cab sim (i.e. 1X12, 1X16, 2X12, 4X12)

amp model wise, nothing like tht...

Seriously? man no offence but that kinda sucks compared to mine. If you can i'd say save up for a POD XT LIVE instead of expensive amps, sure get the new guitar if your up for it, but with the XT live you can get tonens of great sounding amp simulators and cabs along with loads of stomp box effects, plus you can create almost any tone you want if you hook it up to your computer.

Thanks for the advice man, but the problem is cost... i'm skint and i needed a floorboard, plus i could do with comp recording, but rather than buy 2 separate things which added up to over £200 (which i dnt have!) i bought this as a compromise. It works and records to comp. i need £400 for a new ibanez, cause my current guitars are a £50 strat, and a Hagstrom SG which is so unreliable... none of the wires will STAY soldered. they always slip off while i'm playing.

Ah yeah that's always a problem. I've just ordered an Epiphone Prophecy EM 2 FX guitar, that's £270 ish and soudns amazing, better than any ofthe Ibanez's i'#ve tried in my music shop..well..apart from the £1400 Prestige models lol.
