  • that cowboys croch just died a very painful death

  • wooooow WONDERFULL editing rewinding^^

  • I JIZZED WEN WATCHING THIS

  • "Reese's Pieces: You'll be so surprised that you'll un-eat it and put it back"

Can't imagine why they didn't go with that slogan.

  • I think the Human Cannonball is Slim Goodbody--

  • "Wow! What a difference! I could have kids before I fell on that horse!"

  • would'nt that hurt his balls a little. or is that what reeses pieces are made from

  • just imagine if this was applied to sex

  • I used to sing my own words to this:

"Well imagine your surprise, when you realize, Rhesus monkey flavored meat is inside!"

  • what kind of pussy takes just one piece? I take a handful. delicious.

  • @MenAmongPoodles

Probably the guy that jumped on that horse.

  • I remember this very well. Damn, I'm getting old.

  • It says Reese's Pieces six times lmao

  • I'm surprised his crotch wasn't hurting like hell after getting on that horse.

  • @CrazyLazySnazzyJazzy He broke his fall by putting his feet on the saddle first. But I wondered how the horse felt, sticking his feet in his back.

  • @CrazyLazySnazzyJazzy he has no balls

  • @CrazyLazySnazzyJazzy the man doesn't have balls otherwise he wouldn't be acting like a complete jerkoff lol

  • @CrazyLazySnazzyJazzy actually if u see closely he first used his feet to step and then sat on em

  • american commercials are so awesome!

  • Oh well i might be an idiot but i think reeses peices werent invented yet....

  • @TheLostStories I was thinking the same thing. I always thought Reese's Pieces came out the same time as the movie E.T. in 1982, but they had actually been around since 78.

  • @PatrickLHawkins My sister still thinks they're M&Ms.

  • How come 2011 never has good commercials? Man.

  • @GeekingForJesus I don't know- there don't seem to even be any TV stations on the air anymore! (Analog TV joke)

  • .....did he just purposely give himself a nut check

  • 1979 Reese's Pieces commercial / Columbia Tristar Home Video (1997) (Take Hollywood Home)‬‏

  • Wait, just SOME difference? I can't help but think that this is sarcastic.

  • I'm so old that I actually remember this song. LOL!

  • Yep, the first thing I noticed was the singer. I could hear him singing the Wrigley's Spearming Gum song; "the cool refreshing feeling, of Wrigley's Spearmint Gum":

    youtube.com/watch?v=knJqmRDoYqk

Today's jingles suck. Today they just license stupid songs, like Vonage does with that gay fucking "woohoo" abomination.

  • I'm eating these now! Lol!

  • yep the proof i needed to show ppl tht reeses pieces r old as hell and no one believed me (ass holes

  • after watching this, it's no wonder they gave Spielberg $50,000,000 to use them in ET.

  • @Beermaker2000 I read that they were going to use M&M's in E.T. but they didn't want their product associated with aliens. They regret it now.

  • poor horse :(

  • Never liked these.

  • The candy that enslaved an alien

  • meh still think m&ms are better though

  • BTW.......very tasty candy too!

  • The power of advertising......thirty two years later I remember both the jingle and the commercial like I'd just heard it yesterday.

  • reeces feces

  • I can never even think of these things without thinking of E.T.

  • thats totally not from1979!

  • @Briannabanana1010 I disagree, this is from 1979!

  • Reese's Feces! Well imagine your surprise Reeses employees pooped in a candy shell. Wow! That's not chocolate! Some difference!

  • what is in them?

  • @dalekfilms

    some kind of peanut butter

  • Hm.... This commercial seems to have very little to do with candy

  • @philosophermike - Your comment seems to have very little to do with anything.

  • Reese's Pieces is OK, but Reese's cup is the best!!!

  • i'm eating reese's pieces rte now dat ma momma just gave me, smile 2 'dem folks, candy

  • @RQBtv was that supposed to make no sense?

  • looks like beans

  • Watcing this, what I realize is that Reeses *REALLY* needed ET to boost the creativity of its ad campaign.

  • what a dumb commercial. I'm glad I didn't remember that one. Although I love Reeses

  • nigga please

  • "Oooh, piece of candy!"

  • i like to mix these with m&ms. that way you get chocolate and peanut butter

  • reese's taste like shit!!!! and its rhys by the way!!!!

  • @sentercomicbooks1 No, it doesn't. "Feces" has a long "e" at the end. "Reese's" has a short "e" at the end.

  • I think this whole series of commercials was from when these were first introduced..

  • but on the inside real street crack.

  • I was looking for ismfof

  • i love reese's pieces <3

  • 3 years later... E.T. phone home

  • Catchy tune. I didn't know these candies went back so far, Thanks for uploading. (I wish commercials today could be like this... Sigh... Now we have all the weird and scary Skittles commercials)

  • M M'S!

  • How he get back into the cannon, or on the horse?!

  • That stuff is like a drug.

  • i remember this commercial as if it was yesterday, man do i miss being a kid

  • ET PHONE HOME

  • @FallofDarkness55 They originally wanted to use M&Ms in the movie, E.T. The Exterrestial but the Mars candy company thought the movie was going to be a flop so they refused! Dumbasses! ^_^

  • i remember this and i was 3!!!!

  • ahhhh my grion!

  • I can never eat these without thinking "E.T. phone home."

  • @ewd76 why?

  • @Aldatross

You didn't see that movie? They were prominently placed in it.

  • i love old commercials, there so much better then todays commercials

  • @Hariuka agreed 100%. I come in here from time to time specifically looking to listen to/watch vintage commercials:).

  • Wait, did this air into the 80s? Cause I wasn't born til 1980, but I remember this ad.

  • man that was a stupid commercial.

  • It's taste like shit.

  • Are there any modern-day candy snacks similar to this?

  • This aired before E.T. made them famous!

  • ... and now im gonna go get some reeses pieces!

  • kids ate them not knowing there were allergic. WOW!

  • 0:06 Nutcracker? O.o i fucking felt that

  • Comment removed

  • Great...one of the best commercials ever...

Can we have a 'do-over' of everything in the world since roughly when this was made?

  • i h8 reeses pieces. idk y

  • the guy that jumped on the horse must have not had any balls

  • @pbnjsandwatch1 LOL yeah

  • check out my blues rendition of the Kit Kat Bar theme!

  • thats good for the horses back

  • Who's the guy singing? He must have done half the commercials in the 70's.

  • Jake Holmes- do a search for info on him- it's rather interesting.

  • @eyeh8nbc Thank you.

  • Ugh. Did not like the candy of these things. Didn't know they were thirty something years old though. When I had them. they tasted nothing like the reese's peanut butter cups.

  • Reese's peanut butter flavored feces!!!

  • I remember Reese piecies, excellent candy!

  • i soooooooooo dont remember that one....nope!!

  • ...i thought those were new like 5 years ago!

  • @queenliz281 me too

  • @queenliz281 same!

  • @queenliz281 didnt we all.

  • @queenliz281 You've never seen ET?

  • @queenliz281 nope if u notice in some old movies ppl eat those

  • love it...love Reese's Pieces!!!!

  • that would hurt my balls

  • @uberzhoober only if u had two

  • i was wondering does he not hurt?! smiling & such... reese's r good but damn lol

  • @uberzhoober EPIC WIN.

  • no fuckin shell :' (

  • he said reese's pizzas

  • There was a similar ad that began with a clown falling from a platform onto a circus net only to go back up again, and it ending with a fireman sliding down (and up) a fire pole. If anyone has it, great. If not, no hurry.

  • more like feces pieces

  • you havent had good chocolate till you have had cadburys i hope kraft buying it wont change it.

  • There's now Pieces versions of Hershey's Special Dark, York, and Almondy Joy besides Reese's Pieces.

  • Jingle sung by Jake Holmes.

  • Thanks- REALLY interesting history on this guy! Never knew who he was til now.

  • @eyeh8nbc He (Jake Holmes) sang a lot of commercial jingles in the 1970's-1980's-1990's. He even had a song that missed the Top 40 in 1970 called "So Close".

  • My mom said Recess's were about as old as E.T., like they made it for that movie. Awesome. :)

Recess Pieces and Peanut Butter M&M's are beastly. :D

  • Their marketing campaign can thank goodness for ET! And me too...yummy!!!

  • Poor horse !!

  • hate the commercial. LOVE the CANDYYY :9

  • Eating em' right now

  • God does this bring back childhood memories...LOL

  • ...DO WANT!

But they don't sell 'em over here in Germany :|

  • nrdesign :

They do ! Just eat them right now :D

Ich bekomem die immer bei perfetto (ich glaube die sind meisstens bei karstadt drin) schau mal nach ;)

  • Oh, da muss ich mal nachsehen, solange es Karstadt noch gibt ^^

  • @nrdesign1991 you aren't missing much. Imagine an M&M with reese's peanut butter cup inards inside instead of chocolate. That's what reese's pieces are like... seeing as its been a year since you posted that though... I doubt you'll see this... why in the hell am I still writing this? Better question still, why in the hell did I click the post button after seeing the person I'm replying to posted more than a year ago??

  • @Tennesseanyankee I see every comment made on my videos or comments posted as a reply to mine. I still haven't tried Reese's pieces, but the Skittles I could get here taste horribly artificial. I think there was a comment I posted about 3 years ago, but I still got a reply. Sometimes, automatic response alerts from Youtube are quite handy, if it's not excessive spam :)

  • @nrdesign1991 You aren't missing out. CUPS on the other hand, they're wonderful.

  • wow this is really retearted

  • Reese's Feces!!! YEAH!

  • @raido12 You read my mind!

  • @raido12 I like how those two words don't rhyme at all. :(

  • @DrNTropy808 i know wtf, whoever put that comment is a retard.

  • i likes reeses pieces better than the other reeses candy,,,,

  • mmmmmmmmm Reese's Pieces

  • O_o i didn't know when they were out

  • I used to wish I was in that room with all those REESE'S PIECES..(drool)

  • the commercial should be like this...

you got M&Ms in my peanut butter.

  • it lets you control time

  • Let the brainwashing begin...fucking sheeple.

  • Really? It's a commercial for fucking candy.

  • America used to be such a wonderful place. I was 12 when this commercial came out. I remember it like it was yesterday. I wish it were yesterday too!

  • @Crimble67 The world always seems bright to 12 year olds. I miss the seventies too but they were far from wonderful for all. Case in point:

    /watch?v=ntLsElbW9Xo

  • ,,yeah I was about 11 for the most part, the music was a complete forgotten tune that came right back, times and music were at their Zenith.

  • @Crimble67 - They were good from the mid-70's to the mid-80's, but before that they were doing just like they're doing now - a completely stupid war over nothing. Anyway, Reese's Pieces are nothing compared to Peanutbutter Cups.

  • ooo piece of candy

  • I was born in 1978 too. I remember watching this commercal when was a kid. I recently found out the Reese's Piece were invented in 1978.

  • My god. I remember this commercial when it looked new and the colors of the candy popped out at you. :-(

  • Nope! It's what we knew. And there's a reason there's a harvest of 70/80's commercials - because it takes us back...these commercials obviously made a huge impression on us 70/80's kids.

I personally miss the "theatric" commercials...

  • I never liked Reese's Pieces.

  • these are in england now

  • How will we know that our Reese's pieces today aren't from this time? I don't think the packaging is much different...

I guess the only way to tell is to look for the Nutrition Facts on the back, but even then, they could've just added it later. Yuck!

  • They couldn't make enough Reese's Pieces to last 30 years.

  • Haha, what's up with the older Reese's commercials? They're more interesting, just... weird.

  • I love this candy! 1979 was the year I was born as well. Was it a good year?

  • yep it was, marked the end of an era for disco

  • Ha ha ha! Good thing! watch?v=3Xsrz-6U_hc

  • ha the disco demilition I remember that, that was yankee stadium wasnt it?

  • Actually I think it might have been at Wrigley Field. Not 100% on that though.

  • it was at SOX park

  • I was born in 1978 so I remember '79 well. It was a good year. Do a little research on what was happening in the world then if you want to know what it was like. I assume it was a good year, at least for your parents.

  • I only remember bits and pieces of '79.

  • lol...you talking about the Summer of Looove?

  • Holy crap! I remember that commercial as if it were yesterday...whoa!!

  • When this candy first came out we had a dish of it on our coffee table. This elderly lady who lived next door came over and we told her it was M&M's. She ate one and immediatly vomited all over herself. She inhaled some vomit and started coughing and gagging and she lost control of her bowels which caused a big stain on the couch that never came out. I never bought Reeses's Pieces again after that.

  • Ha ha ha ha!

    Great story!

I still love that candy though.

  • Thumbs down me. I still think it's a funny story. Even if it is my favorite candy. Yes, that's right. Reese's Pieces is my favorite candy.
