Yeah, there are some simple powerslides in here, but when the car goes all the way around the cones with none of the wheels maintaining traction with the ground, it's drifting plain and simple. Drifting is using sliding friction (instead of static) to propel the car. AWD drift FTMFW.
Fun fact: the EVOs in F&F: Tokyo Drift were modified to be RWD. They also changed the steering geometry.

@MrJonesy236 actually awd and 4wd is different. AWD is all the time such as a subaru. 4WD is in reference to pickup trucks because they run on 2wd but you can shift it into 4wd if necessary as if you go off roading hauling...etc..
As ultima said, 4x4 or 4WD are often land rovers or jeeps which you can choose the drive.
AWD is constant "all wheels driving" unless you have different diff locks on the car, like the subaru's which you can choose the % of drive, even though all "4" wheels are still driving.

That is not drifting. It's an all wheel drive power slide. Notice how there is no angle on the front wheels because all four wheels move the car as opposed to a rear wheel drive car that turns it's front wheels in the direction it is drifting in.

yeah people are like "AWD powerslide isn't considered a drift."
Yet everybody says Ken Block's videos are drifting. His scoobys weren't RWD conversions they were AWD.
AWD just needs more power than a RWD to do it. Most power goes to the rear anyways.

Yeah, there are some simple powerslides in here, but when the car goes all the way around the cones with none of the wheels maintaining traction with the ground, it's drifting plain and simple. Drifting is using sliding friction (instead of static) to propel the car. AWD drift FTMFW.
Fun fact: the EVOs in F&F: Tokyo Drift were modified to be RWD. They also changed the steering geometry.

Hey guyz,
Powersliding (aka "power over" in drifting) is on of many techniques used in drifting. It's quite self explanatory as well. You initiate a slide by applying power. In drifting it's used to maintain the allready initiated drift.

@MrJonesy236 actually awd and 4wd is different. AWD is all the time such as a subaru. 4WD is in reference to pickup trucks because they run on 2wd but you can shift it into 4wd if necessary as if you go off roading hauling...etc..

As ultima said, 4x4 or 4WD are often land rovers or jeeps which you can choose the drive.
AWD is constant "all wheels driving" unless you have different diff locks on the car, like the subaru's which you can choose the % of drive, even though all "4" wheels are still driving.

That is not drifting. It's an all wheel drive power slide. Notice how there is no angle on the front wheels because all four wheels move the car as opposed to a rear wheel drive car that turns it's front wheels in the direction it is drifting in.
