I don't think Tommy is anything special. I saw BnB 2 X, and thought they were not all that exciting. Gene hired Tommy to paint Paul's house and get him coffee because he didn't think he'd make it in the music business. He does what Gene and Paul TELL him to. Even on Sonic Boom, he plays like Ace. I read a recent interview with him. He AIMS to play Ace note for note..

Until the new CD comes out, Thayer is just copying Ace. On any CD Thayer has played, he copied Ace, Vinnie and Bruce. He is in KISS, But to me, he is unproven. Gene and Paul ARE KISS. ACE and Peter are KISS. Look at all the live CDs and videos. Basically Ace and Peter Era songs

At the end of my senior year in high school in June of 1977, the band I was in (I was the drummer, heavily influenced by KISS and other bands alike) played a show in our school's auditorium in front of about 1,200 people and we finished the set with this song. It was great. This is deffinately an unknown KISS Klassic. I wish they'd play it live more often, but Gene and Paul are too nastolgic.
