I fucking love this song. New Order was at their best, following Ian's death, when they were still in the shadow of Joy Division.
"Movement" is probably their best album. Though they start going into foreign territory with "Power/Corruption/Lies" and "Low-Life", I still love those two albums. Everything after that is just...not for me. They started getting WAY too friggin' poppy after "Low-Life".
My fave era of New Order. I'm more a Joy Division guy but I respect New Order as a seperate band in their own right. Mr. Hook should have at least sang more, his voice suits these songs better than Barney.
Could this audience demand their money back? I mean, a) they are a television studio audience; and b) I don't think that was Barny Whambly-Bham singing up there. (Maybe I'm mistaken and it's meant to be Peter Hook in any case, sans beard.)
I love Peter Hook. I love his bass playing, his attitude, and the fact that he's a much better singer than Bernard Sumner. Most of all tho, I love how how he's always looked about 45 years old, even in Joy Division.
@GriefTourist Ya I bet that 's what Hooky is saying... Gaw I've never seen the dude with short hair :P & agreeing with alot of the other comments, ya, this definately is a rarity & a gem!
OH mayn HOOOKY IS the bass god. End of story. Wonder if he has ever owned a razor. Never see the guy clean shaven, dont think a photo exists of that. I love from here, how he begins to ride his bass like a harley.
aah - the new order early eighties art teacher tie period - magnificent intro to the first track on a great and much underrated album - way ahead of its time - excellent stuff
brilliant so many memories rare video this is when they were good and still like joy division check out ceremony .it was fuckin hard to get a ticket for this performance they did in a lonely place but it wasn't played on telly and the best version I ever heard

Still look like lads here. Ian had been dead just a bit over a year.

I went to one of their concert at that time. It was so boring. Looked like they were in a studio rehearsing, but didn't want to be there.

Superb performance! Hooky singing this number is how I like to remember the Order even if there were other highlights in their musical career.
