question- I read that enlightenment has custom keybindings... I want to make a 3x3 grid of virtual desktops and bind them each to superkey+numpad # :) think it would work?
do you what you want, Im going to install Elive for my brother on his older Pentium3...
on my older pc(older than P3) Youtube and co. ran without problems.

only compiz doesnt work on my Nvidia Card with the new stable 2.0 Version, only with the Compiz Version I get effects, but there is no good Kernel, so no WLAN-Drivers :(
But there will be an update, because its the best OS.
YouTube being faster has NOTHING to do with using Enlightenment or Gnome etc. The speed of your computer does not effect the speed of your browser loading pages.
Processor speed vs bandwidth. TOTALLY different things.
Doesn't really show anything cool... And the switcher is fugly compared to eonomorph, imho
bet it runs fast tho :)

The E in E17 stands for Enlightenment? Is this a new desktop environment? What file manager are you using?

Yes, E17 is Enlightenment.

Yes, you dont need to edit manually configuartion files, there are graphic tools.

hey lit looks pretty nice. Ive tested Elive Linux on my PC, and suddenly Youtube ran alot faster, faster than on ubuntu, although im using 1.8Ghz.
By the way the Desktop looks soo cool.
2 Days ago I went to school and one of the PCs were broken, and I had brought my Elive CD.
And the Teacher and my class friend asked me ,,How did you do that, this Bar below like Apple...." :D
And this System runs with under 128MB RAM, fantasttic system :)
