Kingdom Come, as well as Alex Ross' rendition of Captain Marvel cemented him as my favorite hero. I only wish someone at DC would give greater attention to him in a new series. The only one I can think of is Geoff Johns, but he is way to busy.

Yes!!! Apparently Warners is excited about the treatment he turned in. The Trials of Shazam mini-series was terrible. Judd Winick did not do the legend justice.

Yes, I read Trials of Shazam comic. But I dislike to change white Capt. Marvel. I missed Billy Batson/ Red Capt. Marvel very much. But good news, Jeff Smith drew only Red Capt. Marvel with his little sister Mary Marvel. I love it! Did you heard "Blackest Night" Billy Batson and Mary Batson will come back on comic coming soon!

funny that until today i prefer calling him shazam. I think he shouldnt ever be called marvel, not even when he was published by fawcett. Even tough he came first, marvel is the name of another editor. And there is another captain marvel. It should be only shazam.

Maybe, but in the old days he started out as Captain Marvel. And his 64-page all-color comic book only cost ten cents a copy. Sigh. Those were the days.

I knew you want to title "Captain Marvel" since 1940's to 1950's.

But in 1950's Fawcett comics lost company because DC comic believed to copy from Superman.

1960's too late Marvel comic already put on "Captain Marvel" In 1970's DC comic bought from Fawcett comic. They can't put on same name Captain Marvel since 1960's Marvel Comic because both same names and very confuse names.

So, they already to choose one magic word "Shazam!"

That's why.
