JB LENOIR is a holy man to expose himself as expressing the perversity
He does it with the same spirit as that of its ascsendants African Americans when their songs were inspired by the cries and tears of their slave status.
Saw him live peforming with brother and many others like Muddy Waters sang Soon Forgotten who knows who Rosa Parks was or Medgar Evers ?? I wrote with Rosa and with the parents of Medgar Thanks
This is really what blues is all about. IMHO It's really hard for any white blues player to develop a feeling that transcends anything else. Back in the day those great bluesmen used to have each and every reason to write and play a song like this.
@wfarnaby funny you say that when the kkk members were democrats and democrats supported slavery and segregation your knowledge on historical facts is very wrong but then again your supporting the same party as the kkk members lol
@Southernjuggalo63 The democrats veered towards liberalism very slightly under Franklin D Roosevelt when he de-segregated the army. Since then the democrats became more and more liberal. This alienated southern democrats opposed to the civil rights movement. The southern strategy begun by Republicans in Nixons era tried to lure votes from these same southerners. Hence why liberals and many minorities vote democrat now and right wingers including many south of the bible belt vote republican.
@nemo2000000 well what i said is a historical fact and if people opposed it as much as they say they would have done away with the party and created another one but thats using common sense
@nemo2000000 um your wrong the only de segregated war completely with blacks and whites living and working together was the korean war me and my grandfathers used to talk about how in ww 2 the blacks couldnt even live in the same base as the whites
@wfarnaby funny it was the democrats that supported slavery and segregation but im sure u forgot that p.s. lincoln was republican and helped settle the issue of slavery lmao stop being ignorant and come to terms with historical facts lol
@wfarnaby what is sad is that you and apparently 15 other people think there is a difference between the democrats and republicans....they are no different they just paint two different pictures for you and other to believe in so they can divide us as a nation and to issue in the NWO....
i live in alabama and when i was 5 me and cuzin where beat up buy a groupe of white men bcuz bt cuzin looks whiteand i am dark and had long hair and looked like a girl so they thought he was dating a black girl so the beat us no joke and this was in the 2000s not 1950 alabama will never change
They say America is the most developed country in the world, this song and video clearly show's that it still has a long way to go. There is more racism in america than any other country in the world, and it took 60's Britan to truely realise the great blues masters, and all the while, america had them in their back pocket, what a shame this world can be. :(
Well considering the fact that the KKK still exists and that Lynchings are still happening and that Barrack Obama is still being dogged with racism, I would have to say that you are an ignorent twat.
if there was a vote to defeat racism and other crimes against humanity I´d be the first to sign. but a fact is that ALOT has changed in the last fifty years and ALOT is still to change. That´s progression... And I have hope that one day mankind will be able to jump over it´s own shadow and just accept all differences.
Temazo.
Lynyrd Skynyrd are heros to southerners and they we not racist. Just because there were a lot of idiots doing stupid shit in Alabama doesnt mean that everyone has to hate being there.

Excellent video and superb music, JB Lenoir was ahead of his time of course, This is a really well thought out, well intentioned piece of work, thanks for posting it, it deserves a lot of play/hits, .....excellent..,!!!!
Well he has kind of been dead for over 40 years. Even still, JB has never got the proper recognition for his contributions and talent except for some other musicians such as John Mayall and Willie Dixon.
Alabama is a very nice place to live now; for blacks or whites. The people are great. There are pockets of racism. I know. I come from one. For blacks, the South may be one of the best places in the country now. What bothers me is that now I see very racist blacks and racist black groups who urge others not to be a part of "white" society,
That is a poorly thought out response. I understand why people would be angry but we cannot simply respond in kind to injustices. That does not mean we accept them meekly but your response would mean Jews would go out and kill Germans, Indians would kill all non-native Americans etc. Your response implies an eye for an eye and treating everyone the same even if they did no wrong.
First of all, i agree with what you are saying n2thefray66, secondly when people are acting on what they feel, often very strong feelings, they do not have the luxury of thinking like you imply they should. If you were at a club one night, and you saw another guy punching your girlfriend, how would you react? Or if someone was robbing your own mother?

I never will go back to Alabama, that is not the place for me (2x)
You know they killed my sister and my brother,
and the whole world let them peoples go down there free
I never will love Alabama, Alabama seem to never have loved poor me (2x)
Oh God I wish you would rise up one day,
lead my peoples to the land of pea'
My brother was taken up for my mother, and a police officer shot him down (2x)
I can't help but to sit down and cry sometime,
think about how my poor brother lost his life
