Graceful and a class act but, not even close to Midori Ito's jumping skills.....Kristi and Michelle are Beautiful skaters but....Ito has them beat hands down!
One of the great things about Kristi was her composure. Even after 2 falls her movements continuiing on were sharp and crisp and she had that good robot-like profressional attitude even after mistakes. She started out with 2 major mistakes here and by the end everyone was pumped up.

even with the mistakes you can see how freaking good she is, she never watered down or doubled anything after that, seh always went for everything, and i commend her for that! her and michelle are the only ones who never let mistakes mess up their confidence!

She looks tired in this performance. This year must have been hell for her. Moving to Edmonton, pairs coach dies, she had finished high school....a lot of life changing events. I'm not surprised she dropped pairs after this year, especially with figures taken out of competition.
A conspiracy would definitely spice things up, but I don't think that was the case here. Kristi looked off in this performance. I mean, she fell out of a spin towards the end...
Her entrance into the triple flip was wobbly, and that seemed to carry over to the triple toe. The take off and air position was very loose/sloppy.
Midori must have cheered for Kristi to skate really well. Her only hope to win was Kristi to beat Jill in the free, along with of course skating well and winning the free herself. Lebedeva or Cook were NEVER going to beat Trenary in the free, and everyone knew it.
I wonder if Team USA paid Kristi to make mistakes in the Long Program in order to make sure that nobody but Midori Ito would beat Trenary in the LP, thereby giving Trenary the Gold medal because of the school figures. It was rather convenient how that all worked out.
