A scythe is just as heavy, clears more in one swing, the operation motion is the same, you never need to fuel it, and its cheaper. The only advantages to a weed whacker are those hard to reach places and you can get someone to do the work for you if you tell them they can use the weed whacker instead of the scythe assuming they think its harder to use the scythe

Buy a skythe instead - Even if you never figure out how to work it perfectly, you will be faster, your back will nor hurt, it is quiet, no stink, and the work is much more relaxed. You even safe money. (Telling you that as a gardner who has worked enough with such a monster)

Did your whipper snipper start after the first pull, or you had to pull the cord several times, before it finally started?

Could you please post videos, where you perform pull-start of whipper snipper, revving, etc. (or petrol chainsaw, or leaf blower, if you use them).

Weed Eater was a brand of string trimmer here in the US. They were one of the first , so the name stuck. Mine is a stihl 4 stroke. It is amazing the subjects on here and the number of views some of them receive. Cheers !

They call them whipper snippers down under, weed eater sounds weird, since it doesnt eat weeds, it cuts grass?? I went to check if it actually said 'whipper snipper' on there, it doesnt, it says HONDA 4 STROKE. I cant belive so many people have watched me trim my grass...maybe I should put more of me on here mowing my lawn as well ..hahah..
