  • We act in Love and Kindness. We don't hate you for having these beliefs. We hate WHAT you believe. Same with God: He doesn't hate the sinners themselves, but rather their sin.

    1 Corinthians 13:4

Love is patient; Love is kind; Love does not envy; Love does not boast, is not proud.

  • @cmoncas99 "i want the blood of jesus..so i can drink it..and spit it in the face of christians and all who live him..."

Why are you so angry to the one who is the only access to God and Salvation? Why do you hate us for believing Truth? Why do you rebuke us for trying to turn you towards salvation? We try to turn you from disbelief because we Love you. Not because we are arrogant hypocrites trying to "force our beliefs down someone's throat" (as many nonbelievers would say). *cont*

  • why do animals die? have they sinned? i dont think they can say an id

  • AMEN!!! I love this version of the song even though I just heard it for the first time, and I love my LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST!!!!!! I AM A BORN AGAIN BELIEVER, AND I AM NOT ASHAMED!!!!

  • love this version

  • btw dont use pics of him on the cross he was reserrected not a dead guy on a cross he is our savior and he is reserected just correct me if im wrong

  • @dragonick90 this song sings about how Jesus' blood flowed. and it flowed when He was on the cross! thank you Jesus!! <3

  • We were all vegetarians until after the flood. All creation were vegetarians until the fall, humans didn't start eating meat until after the flood..

  • Fact: Because Adam and Eve sinned, death came into the picture and God allowed them to eat meat. Before death, everyone and everything were vegetarians. Enjoy the song, and God bless you all!

  • When did this become a war between herbivores and carnivores? Shut up and enjoy the music.

  • Have always wondered why non- Christian spend so much time trying to disprove something they dont believe in. Any one up for disproving the Tooth Fairy

  • I'm vegetarian... but if God wanted us to treat animals well, why would he have us kill and eat them? Doesn't make sense. I'm Christian, but I don't understand why God would have us kill something that is living and feeling in order to survive. Cruel cycle.

  • @britni2423

    It's called "THE FA:LL". A & E were vegetarians.

Atonement requires blood. Ask God why. He gave His Son, for all sin.

  • @SeattleSunE Please elaborate on your opinion. I don't understand what you're trying to say. I know it's called The Fall.

  • It SADDENS me that MOST Christians & Jars of Clay are CALLOUS towards the suffering of God's animals that are used for food, but treat their pets like spoiled children. Jesus would be appalled by the degree of suffering we inflict on God's animals to indulge our acquired taste for their flesh: View on my channel 'Farm to Fridge'

  • @julieveggie You need to read Acts 10

  • @TheKRock75 In the past people used the Bible to justify slavery, segregation, and the oppression of women. Now most Christians understand this was a misuse of the Bible and its true intent. The same is true for eating meat

  • Can I get an amen?

  • @Rborch19 Amen ;-)

  • @Rborch19 AMEN

  • Thanks for sharing this..this song is making my afternoon a little brighter. I always liked this bands music but hadn't heard this tune from them. Without Jesus I would have no one I could put my full trust into. I feel so lucky that I was taught about him as a child.

  • jars writes such inspiring catchy songs, along with a new christian band Red Letter Hymnal. They've got awesome stuff on youtube

  • But through Jesus we are saved! Thanks for the video. The pictures go well with the music ministry. Love it!

  • very nice! :)

  • Abomination!

  • i sort of really like what you say in the description! i totally wouldve agreed with you a while back but in my opinion i think religion helps for fellowship in churches. In the Bible Jesus is all about going out into the world being outgoing and tryna spread joy do his work and spread the word. religion helps this to occur and inform the misinformed about morals of the bible. i think its best not to question his existence based upon the flaws of religion yet not to underestimate its good X

  • Wow, that was beautiful!

  • I agree that Christ cares for mankind. When He wanted to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, He could have chosen to not listen to Abraham's intercessions and went ahead and destroy everyone, including Lot, Abraham's nephew as he was just at the gate of the cities. So therefore, yes God does bring judgment on those who choose not to follow Him. As for those who have chosen to walk in His ways, the best is yet to come.

  • Good song I do admit its beautiful but Jesus is not real he is a concept that was made up by the early church using 18+pagan gods predating him. Also did you know that god killed an estimated 33 million people in the bible and Satan only 10. Also did you know about the early church history in the middle ages, the crusades and more recently the pedophilia scandals in the Catholic church see

    w w w . e x p o s i n g c h r i s t i a n i t y . c o m for more info on the truth about Christianity

  • ridiculous and spam...

  • No offense, but to say that God killed 13 million people is simply wrong. Are you referring to the flood? If so, God gave plenty warning for 160 years with Noah, before he sent down the flood. God gave men plenty of time and warning for people to repent. Those who perished simply chose not to listen. It's as simple as that. As far as Satan killing only 10 people, that I cannot confirm, but there's no doubt that he's cares about the spiritual death of mankind....

  • @womensman87

I cant help but laugh at you for believing a single word on that site. Please, take another look at it and think for yourself, does this really make any sense or is it just assumptions that are assumed to prove a false point.

Honestly, they have no evidence that accounts for anything and you still believe what that site says? So easy to manipulate people these days Haha.

  • @womensman87

Get your facts striaght - there is more historical evidnce to support the existance of Jesus of Nazareth than there is to support the existance of Julius Cesare - Did you ever consider that the pagan gods that predated Jesus were created by men who also read the ancient scriptures and created false messiahs in order to fulfill the prophesies - the fact that 1 man fulfilled the number of ancient prophesies is almost inconceivable - but not for God!

  • @paul823guitar ..wow u said it br..I wish I could have said that..thanks..awesome..I just felt the Holy Spirit...GBU..GLU..JIL..PTL..

  • @womensman87 I love it how you point out RELIGIOUS men who don't hold a finger to Jesus rather than the model who IS Jesus. Your "Pagan Gods" haven't been around since the universe was created. Jesus was around LONG before He came here as a man. The old testament which predates his life as a man here on earth fortold his coming.

  • Good job!! :)

  • I'd like to thank you bondservent007 for adding the awesome graphics to the JOC song and sharing. They fit the praise song very well, good job.

PTL for His Love and providing salvation for us Gentiles as well. When people believe in Jesus-Yeshua He gives them a right to be His child John 1.

  • JOC and Blind Boys really make this song pop and just plain awesome. JOC is known for making a song their own. God rest ye merry gentleman and o little town are two examples of christmas songs they make sound different.

  • There's nothing else to say

  • Wow. Great version. Where did you get the wonderful graphics? I love the red and orange ones. They moved me.

  • my friend sings this song way better. :l

  • But do you know HOW / WHY ?

  • Sorry to be redundant, didn't realize my brother kamajiboy had already said that... BUT

Lets remember that the very thing we are arguing is the word of God. He alone knows the truth of what He meant to say. We are a couple thousand years off trying to interpret these words. No need to bicker over whether or not Peter is the "rock" cuz he's dead. Lets worry bout the lost souls and fulfill the great comission!

  • WJB67II I challenge you to look at the greek in Mathew 16: 18-19. In refrence to Peter he says "petros" which means stone or pebble. IN refrence to the foundation of faith he uses "petra" which means immovable boulder. Two intirely different words for two intirely different things. It is not Peter whome the church is founded, but a faith like Peter had that is comparable to an immovable boulder.

  • John 14:6

"I am the way and the truth and the life...NO ONE comes to the Father but through me."

    Mathew 16: 18-19

"That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build MY church, and the gates of hell shall NOT prevail against it. I will give to THEE the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever THOU shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever THOU shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven."

What part of it don't you understand?

  • Paul is clear in 1 Corinthians 3:11 "For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ." We can't look to a mere human being as the foundation of the Christian church! "It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man." (Psalm 118:8). Like David said, "The Lord is my rock" (Psalm 18:2) "And who is a rock, except our God?" (Psalm 18:31).

  • Nice that you know how to derive meaning from out of context snippets...that is exaclty what Martin Luther did. Meanwhile Paul did submit to the authority of Rome and to Peter in whom Jesus entrusted the authority of the earthly Church as described in the scripture I quoted. Now you can quote Paul all you like...if you want to make Jesus out to be a liar and "look to a mere human being" (one who repeatedly claimed to be less than worthy) that is your own look out. But you are in error.

  • Jesus says to Peter, You are Petros (a rock fragment) and on this petra (massive rock) I will build my ekklesia (a chosen or called-out assembly). By the way, this is the first of only two times within the New Testament where Christ uses the word ekklesia, which is translated church—and it is mentioned as something that will occur in the future.

  • Yes that future time being after the resurrection. What does it mean when...at a "later time"...Jesus tells Peter "Feed my sheep". Who are his sheep? Could it possibly be his church or flock or ekklesia? Don't play syntax games when your very soul is at stake. Read the entire context of Peter's journey from denier to Pope.

  • But the important issue is that Jesus Christ purposely changed from the word (petros—a piece of a rock) that He called Peter to the word (petra—a massive or large rock) to refer to the object upon which He would build His church. The words are quite different and definitely mean two different things, as already portrayed. So it is clear that Jesus Christ did not mean that He was going to build His church on Peter.

  • He was referring to Peter's spiritual growth. Read the entire thing, not just the parts that support your claim.

  • god is great all the time

  • Phil Keaggys version is best

  • my church sings this song but its not as good as Jars of Clays version.

  • ditto

  • AMEN !!!

  • NOTHING but the blood!

  • Oh. This is a GOOOD SONG!!!!! AWSOME.

  • Hahaha, this sounds funny if youve heard the version by Matt Redman,

  • Comment removed

  • I thank God that non-Christians are watching these videos.

  • Excellent song and video! Sounds like The Blind Boys of Alabama on this, but it could be anyone. Love the sound!

  • it is the blind boys, awesome arent they?

  • What I love most about Jesus is that He doesn't look for a really rotten person and save them. He is there for all people: He doesn't care if you are good or bad, if you made ten mistakes or ten thousand. Thank you, Jesus!!!

  • Hehe, I (almost) whole heartedly agree. He DOES care if you are good or bad. Now, where I'm going with this is that God alone is good. He came to say that our squabbles and status quo all dissolve before the truth he is and says in what amounts to: I am good, and you are ALL bad, and I have come to die for you, to make you right with me again.

No one is righteous. Not one. If you believe yourself to be living a right life, I pray for you, because you're tottering right on the brink of pride.

  • Well, I am living a right life in that I am living each day with Jesus. But I understand what you mean. What I simply meant was that Jesus does not look at a person's past and determine whether they ought to be forgiven or not. He forgives anyone who comes to Him.

  • And there we have full agreement. Amen brother, affirm that and live by it :) That's what an amen is.

  • @artist812

He does care! He hates sin but he loves sinners

  • @artist812 Actually, He only saves rotten people, because that's all there is.

-Romans 3:10-11 Were all rotten. And it would be just for Him to leave us all to our deserved judgement. But He doesn't =). He saves all those whom the Father has given Him. That's something we can really praise Him for =).

  • @jmartin6514 You could argue that Romans passage has some validity. I wouldn't, though, because in Romans 1:25, Paul talks about the legality of having the end of your dick cut off. So right off the bat, we know that Romans is a stupid book, full of shit, that we shouldn't trust.

  • @GoodAvatar I think you may have confused Romans 1:25 for another passage. It says nothing about circumcision. Regardless, your litmus test is childish, thoughtless, illogical and stupid. The issue of circumcision for a Jew had plenty of relevance during the time period and culture in which the apostle Paul was writing. So, while discussing the legality of circumcision may seem stupid to you, it was important to the audience Paul was addressing.

  • @jmartin6514 "he issue of circumcision for a Jew had plenty of relevance during the time period and culture in which the apostle Paul was writing"

Well, there you go. By your own admission, that writing was only relevant during that time period. Next thing you'll be telling me is that we should obey all the Ten Commandments.

  • @GoodAvatar Well, if you put a little more thought and research into it, beyond your thoughtless, ignorant criticism of it (a great indication that your enormously clueless regarding matters of hermeneutical interpretation), you'd find that the overall point Paul is making is perfectly relevant to the modern reader. For the Jew, physical circumcision was a symbol of sanctification and renewal of life. However, if you failed to obey the law, your circumcision was rendered meaningless...

  • @jmartin6514 "For the Jew, physical circumcision was a symbol of sanctification and renewal of life"

Wow, it's amazing how we can interpret the same events in such different matters. YOU seem to view penis lopping as some kind of holy sacrament with God, and *I* view it as a primitive, barbaric custom enjoyed by a bunch of brutal, ignorant, Iron Age desert dwellers..... Isn't that odd?

  • @jmartin6514 "beyond your thoughtless, ignorant criticism of it (a great indication that your enormously clueless regarding matters of hermeneutical interpretation)"

You're assuming I'm interpreting the Bible as anything other than direct interpretation. I'm sure there's plenty of wiggle room for some things, but there are quite a few passages in the Bible which cannot be interpreted as anything other than literal. So I read the entire book literally. It IS supposed to be God's Word, right?

  • @GoodAvatar Hence, the Apostle Pauls point in Romans 2:25. In other words, it doesn't matter what you do outwardly; if there's no inward change, then your outward works are meaningless. The point wasn't regarding circumcision, but what makes one a true believer. It's not the outward work, but the inward one.

  • @jmartin6514 "The point wasn't regarding circumcision, but what makes one a true believer"

Why would being a believer be so important? That's kinda weird, isn't it? Why would God, the creator of a hundred billion stars in a hundred billion galaxies, give a shit about what you believed about him?

    Is God REALLY that petty?

I mean, if it was a happy God that cared about us, why didn't he just say stuff like....

First commandment- Thou shalt NEVER have sex with someone against their will. Ever.

  • @jmartin6514 "Regardless, your litmus test is childish, thoughtless, illogical and stupid"

No, it was none of those things.

It was extremely simple. There is a difference.

  • @jmartin6514 By the way, you were TOTALLY right... I was wrong about the passage. It was Romans 2:25. It's just a silly, stupid contemplation which shows the book's date and it's untrustworthiness in modern life.

can u send me a link to it?

    thanks! Gos bless u!

  • Who is the second voice?

  • JesusChrist: the Word, the Way, the Lamb of God, the Resurrection and the LIGHT, Lord of Lords, Lion of the Tribe of Judah, King of the Jews...

    John 1- 5

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

  • so right God is no religion!

  • Cmoncas99:

Someone may prove God to be unlogical,

but not untrue and/or not fact.

I believe that it's not very logical for there not to be a creator.

Would you mind if I share a couple of videos with you?

  • no...feel free.......in fact i envy..for beliving in sumthin tht may not even be real..and ur puttin ur trust, faith and sum even there whole life...into someone who may just be as real as father christmas.....and if beleiving in god makes u at ease and makes u feel comfortable...then crack on m8.....but dont try and swade sumone who is already at ease with there life...

  • praise god, keep going bro

  • dude...grow up! so sad that the only way you think you can get noticed is to knock YOUR creator....yes, your's! mine, and everyone/thing else. instead off blasting the Lord, why not sit and examine your life...is it truly better now that you wrote that? was it so essential that you said that? for me, i know I'm better now. I have the opportunity to share with someone the love He showed to me...And it's better now, because now you know someone is praying for you. God Bless.

  • omg...well i dont belive in god..i belive in the truth and facts.....like every1 shud...is there any proof of god?...no..is there prof for science?....yes that is why its called science.....pray for me al you want i appreciate it...slightly..dont really know what you mean by that...but im a lost cause for god.....and yes i do feel better for writing that:)

  • Cmoncas99:

"well i dont belive in god..i belive in the truth and facts.....like every1 shud...is there any proof of god?...no..is there prof for science?....yes that is why its called science"

There is no proof I know of for God, but there is also no proof against him. So it's not unreasonable to believe in God.

The problem with you saying you believe in the truth and facts is that if you don't believe in God, then you believe something yet to be proven untrue or not fact. - Continued -

  • My apologies I should rephrase something in my comment.

The problem with you saying you believe in the truth and facts is that if you believe God doesn't exist, then you believe something yet to be proven true or fact.

  • continued:....cos ive got better things to do with my time than praying...or believing...like trying to earn a good life...and in my opinion i dont need sum imaginary force to do it for me......but please tell me these videos....im interested;)

  • Cmoncas99:

That's just it you believe God to be imaginary when you can't know that.

I suppose I understand how you feel when you say, "and if beleiving in god makes u at ease and makes u feel comfortable...then crack on m8.....but dont try and swade sumone who is already at ease with there life... ", but I would rather live my life with God and find out when I die that He doesn't exist, than live without God and find out when I die that He does exist.

  • but you also cant know that he exists...thnx for understanding me...i understand sum of ur points too....but either way in those situations ur fucked....one....youve wasted ur time and beliefs in something/someone and its been wasted and two you havent botherd and he does exist wat in ur opinion happens then?....not beleiving and he does exist?

  • I know he exists just like I know my wife exists - I relate to her everyday and know she has changed my life. Ditto with God - I relate to Him and know He has changed my life. He has also promised life to me after this one...Have you asked Him to show Himself to you? ...Would you want me to swade you to get off a train I knew was headed off a cliff? Or not cause you are at ease on the train?

  • Cmoncas99:

"...and two you havent botherd and he does exist wat in ur opinion happens then?"

If you don't bother to know God, I guess it would be better for me to say, if you don't trust in Jesus for your salvation, then you won't be able to enter God's kingdom, and I'm sure you've also heard of the only other place you can go (hell). That's why I feel I should at least try to convince you the God exists and the Bible is true.

    -Continued-

  • correction:

    conevince you that God exists

  • Cmoncas99:

I understand the fear one could have of wasting a lifetime on beliefs the he doesn't feel that he can prove are true.

Keep in mind it takes just as much belief to deny God's existence as it does to accept His existence.

  • not reli....to not beleive in god all i have to do is...think it...and believe it obviously...but to believe in god id have to give my life over to the church and alternate my views and my actions. which can affect life...seriously....and all this kingdom of god shit.....and hell.....fuk it....wen im dead im dead and the dead dont feel pain or happiness.......there dead and in my views for something to exist..you have to believe in it..so for this hell subject....no...and for this heaven...no...

  • cMONCAS99 IS NOT ABOUT THE CHURCH OR BELIEVE ONLY IN HELL AND HEAVEN BUT SEE THE GLORY OF gOD IN YOUR LIFE. i AM A TESTIMONY OF jESUS. hE CHANGED MY LIFE. GOD MANIFEST HIS PERFECTION IN YOUR LIFE IF YOU TRULY LET HIM SHOW U WORNG. HE LOVES YOU NO MATTER WHAT AND FORGIVE YOU. THERE IS NOTHING BUT TO KNOW GOD AND HAVE A RELATINSHIP WITH THE CREATOR NOT A RELIGION LIKE PEOPLE HAVE FIXED IN THEIR MINDS. I PRAY FRO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY THAT GOD WILL OME IN AND BLESS YOU WITH HIS ETERNAL GIFTS.LOVE :)

  • you aint gonna pray for me....you dont even know who i am.....stop wasting my time....and your time....god doesnt exist..only science does.....god is your imaginary friend....i have real friends and they will do more for me than god will...

  • if you are so convinced there is no God..and our religion is a waste of time.. then why are you spending your precious time (which apparently is very valued by you) to sit and watch christian videos and make comments on them...if you dont believe..you dont believe.. and thats a very sad shame. but really? religious debates over youtube? cmon! thats sorta lame. just like ur asking and looking for an argument.

  • well 1 i was recommened this video by another christian who tryed to convince me about religion....and im not reli arguing just anserwin your comments....which if i didnt do would be quite rude.....so...yh......and im not lookin for an arguement because like u say my time is precious to ME so y waste it?....have a nice day gracie...

  • Why do you sound so mad? Who hurt you in the past that turned your heart to a stone? Just remember the way you are going God will make sure that he brakes you over and over and over until you surrender. Remember again once that happens ask Him with an open heart, God if you are real reveal yourself to me. You will experience an undeniable supernatural force which will cut your barb wires and will set you FREE....He still loves you regardless of your comments.

  • my heart to stone.....that sounds quite cool haha.....and the who is untrure.....its what meline...i wasnt born a disbeliver..we all learn from our enviroment...and if god created it..then theres your who......and i envy your enthusiam and if your belife makes you happy...stick with it....we are not all the same...thats what makes us individual....some can be persuaded, others cant....and my barb wires..are comfy and warm :) so i dont want them cut :D

  • I too am am testimony how Jesus changed my life. He did not too it too to make a better person he did even do it so I have a better life than what I had. He did it for his glory and I thank him for saving a black hearted sinner such as myself. The blood is the only thing that saved me. I deserve no credit.

  • let us pray more each day to our blessed Lord and Savior! this is key each and every day and we are called to develop a relationship with him daily!

  • Beary2056:

I have better reasons for believing in God and the Bible than in the comments I've made on this video, I just wish I knew how to put it in written words.

I don't feel much like getting into a debate, I just felt I needed to inform you that most, if not all, the things in your comment I am currently replying to are inaccurate.

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:8

    P.S. I recommend reading Romans.

  • no ones a lost cause for God

  • @CharlieFilmsUSA Well said and so true.

  • I do like the video and song... and am a Christian...

  • That is a False Definition of Religion --- too bad -- Your focused on the wrong "enemy"... Religion means "reconnect" i.e. to reconnect to God......

  • Could I please have video or DVD's on the blood of Jesus, for our Women's Felloeship

  • What a great song. I don't normally like bluegrass style but this was fun to listen to.

  • i'm just a bit lost on the antagonism against the word "religion".

  • To Misschienie:

This is an old old hymn. It refers to the bible saying that the blood of Jesus washes away your sins (re:"how precious is the flow that.. makes me white as snow")

  • Wow, these lyrics really take the words in the bible to another level... insanity. What kind of metaphor is this? I really don't understand. Maybe 'cause I'm Roman Catholic :S

What's next, praying for the earwax of the lord?

  • To Misschienie:

This is an old old hymn sung in Christian churches. It refers to the bible saying that the blood of Jesus washes away your sins. (re: "precious is the flow that makes me white as snow"). Because Jesus died for our sins, they are saying that only his blood washes away our sins (re: "nothing but the blood of Jesus..). You are right, I doubt if the typical Roman Catholic church would sing this song, but if you compare the lyrics to what the bible says it really does make sense.

  • even though u drink the "blood" of jesus christ right??? get in ur bible man u dont need a priest to learn this stuff

  • please pray for me for deliverance from demons that have entered through a generational curse

  • you must renounce the demons, bind them in Jesus name, and break the curse and demolish the strong hold. All in Jesus name. Then claim the victory of Jesus in your life. Father God deliver laila from the curse that her forefathers have picked up. Lord may you bind with your strong hand the curses and the demons that have ground on her, and I ask that you may demolish all of them with your might. Thank you In Jesus name amen.

  • pray for you....the devils tremble at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow evry toungue will con fess that Jesus is the LORD of all...the devils know that very well so thats why they shout with a loud voice when Jesus rebuke them...He is the one true God...

Serve the one true God, maker of the universe, he created us to serve him, not ourselves. Praise God for saving us from ourselves. God is life, THE truth, the way to everylasting life. He is THE word. Glory be to God in the highest!

  • I love your sayin=)

    btw

i know it may be from the bible but did u also got this by a book called

    Different By Design?

  • LOL , Lord show me how to love you more if its posssible ! WALK IN THE SPIRIT !lol I LOVE ALL GODS CHILDREN ! Goby love OH YEAH !SEEK HIM !

  • You will find an answer for your prayer in John 14:15 and John 15:14

  • Does that mean ppl who don't are not the Lord's friends?

  • That seems to be what it says. Friends tend to do things their friends like and not do things their friends don't like.

If you say you're my friend but you keep doing stuff that I tell you offends me then you're not really being my friend. Does that make sense?

It's pretty strong words but we have to remember they are the words of Jesus and it's His universe so His rules. And remember that His commandments are designed to give us "life in abundance" so it can't be that bad obeying them!

  • Well... If it's just about us here on earth, It makes sense. But if it's about God, then why would he say that His own child isn't his friend?

  • It's the difference between a noun and a verb. We think of the word LOVE as a noun when it is actually a verb. Love is not a feeling, it's an action. You love people by doing things that benefit those people.

I would expect that if I really was a child of God then I would start by doing the things that He says to do and cease from doing the things that He says to not do.

Jesus also said "Not everyone who calls me Lord will enter heaven but those who DO THE WILL of My Father in heaven."

  • Hmmmm....I see. But what about those ppl who don't know God? I'm sure if they had a chance they'll 'love and serve the Lord' right? But what if they don't have a chance?

  • Actually, if you take a look at history you'll find they are very unlikely to "love and serve The Lord". Paul answers your question in Romans 1. I'd suggest finding an easy to read translation to get your head round it (The Message or soemthing) then maybe go onto a more literal one for the details.

  • But it's not possible for EVERY SINGLE one of them to be like that right? But because of pear pressure or whatnots thay can't, are you saying that even THEN God would say the same?

  • I'm not saying it, the Bible's saying it. So now we have a problem, is God not fair? He can't be 'not fair', Genesis 18:25 "Shall not the judge of all the earth do right?" (see also Romans 3) For all have sinned and fall short of the golry of God.

If God allowed sin (and byu association sinners) into heaven, then He wouldn't be Holy. Because He is Holy, He is not able to let sin in. Romans 1:20 "For the invisible things of him are clearly seen so that they are without excuse"

  • I thought he was all loving? How could he do that...

  • He is all loving, but He is also Holy. If you commit a crime then you must pay the penalty. Even a loving judge must judge righteously administer punishment to the offender for the crime. If you are unable to pay then you must suffer the punishment. If someone else pays the penalty then the law is satisfied. If you refuse that payment you're still in trouble with the law. The Bible says the penalty for sin is death. We are not able to pay that. Jesus provided the payment. Have you accepted that?

  • 'If you are unable to pay then you must suffer the punishment.'

If i am unable to pay... But then I'm unable! Oki, lets say, that someone robs big time. he gets away with it, but gets caught when he is old, and crippled. (lets just say he is) are you saying that even then, he must pay? he is unable! Lets also say that he is sorry for what he has done. He's sorry, and unable. Does that mean he still has to pay?

  • Let's imagine instead that someone abducts, rapes and murders several little girls and gets away with it but gets caught when he is old and cripppled. Should he be punished for what he has done? If we're talking degrees of crime then we don't understand the Holiness of God. He is COMPLETELY holy. There's no yin yang thing going on. 1 John 1:5 "God is light, and in him is NO DARKNESS at all". All sin must be dealt with. Christ is the ONLY way to deal with it.

  • Apologies for delays in responses by the way, I'm currently in the middle of an air shift on the radio. (In New Zealand)

  • show off!! oki no i''m jokin. It still doesn't make sense. he's unable. how can he pay for somethin when he's unable? if he's sorry, then he should be let go right? if hes not sorry, then i suppose, ya he has to pay, but not the full thing. I dont understand, why would god punnish ppl? unless the outright say, "I hate god, i love satan!!" But for the others, can't they just to purgotory?

  • If he's sorry he should be let go. Just because he's an old man now and it's a long time since the crime? That doesn't make sense. And there's no such thing as purgatory, that was simply something made up by the Catholic church a few hundred years ago to get money out of people.

You cannot erase sin. I cannot erase sin. Only God can forgive sin (Mark 2:7). Only the sacrifice of Jesus can erase sin. Let's get personal and put these side issues away. How are you going to erase your sin?
