  • My best friends wants to be a hairstylist she looks at your vids all the time

  • Thanks soooo Much for this video !!

  • You said never put regular conditioner in your gel mix because it has to be washed out. Does the same thing apply when you do your baggie method overnight with a conditioner. Is it always a leave in conditioner that you should put in your hair?

I noticed in one of your videos you put herbal 2 herbal essence conditioner for a wash n go. Does this get washed out?

  • Your hair is so cute... How did you do it?

  • how is soft 'n' silky black or clear gel?

  • so you've put every products you had in your bath room ahahah

  • pretty hair!

  • Have you ever tried the homemade flaxseed gel that is all over the place on youtube??

  • u inspire me

  • i wanted to know how you can figure out what type of hair i gave, any ideas

  • This is good idea to get rid of all those products that I don't really use! Thanks

  • Where do you get a lot of your products from? Online? Sally's? or A combination?

  • gel is not good for your hair

  • Thanks 4 the idea of mixing all the extra products 2 gether, it really works!! Now I don't have extra product just sitting around. I can put it 2 good use and it works, really good!!

  • How do you feel about coconut oil?

  • Would it be ok if I just used the eco-styler gel extra virgin olive oil and a cheapie condish like suave im 15 and im natural and im really trying to take care of my hair.

  • @cottoncandychic Be careful using conditioners that aren't meant to be a leave-in. When I was still transitioning, I used a conditioner (not leave-in) when I was trying to do a curly girl styling method. Shortly after the product dried, like maybe the same or next day, i had breakage all over the place. I had little broken pieces all in my sink. It was terrible. The only thing to which i could attribute it was the non-leave in conditioner.

  • I think this makes since because it's most of it you put in your hair during the process anyway. I have hundreds of products sitting around so I might as well get the mixing lol.

  • does it leave your hair with residue? should u use only a little bit?

  • Glad I caught this vid! I have so much stuff I don't really care for so I think I'll make my own concoction! Muwaaa haaa haaaa! I already feel like a mad scientist! Lol!

  • your hair is so pretty!!!

  • your pretty! no homo lol :)

  • u are so freakin hot and sexyyyyyyyy:))))

  • is your hair curly because of the bantu knots?

  • i try to make mixtures but end up with a splotchy mix, but the results are beautiful. is what ur doing safe? lol

  • Awesome!!!I think I will be trying this recipe. Love your videos. I am about to make my big chop and your videos have been very informative. Thanks!!!

  • My hair is still pretty short and I do a lot of wash and goes, would this gel be okay to use very often?

  • @Chynelle40 oh yes this is what i used all the time when my hair was still short

  • That's some expensive gel, with all those products.

  • I get residue sometimes when I mix cream and gel....has that ever happened to you

  • I get residue sometimes when I use cream and gel together does that ever happen to you

  • Hi I don't speak english so I don't understand all wath you say in this vidéo so could you explain me how do you use this conditioning gel?

  • i love eco styler gel

  • how do you feel about prostyle (black gel)?

  • @Tifonly I HATE THAT STUFF!!!!!!!!! DON'T GET IT. LOL don't mean to yell but i really do hate that stuff

  • @PRETTYDIMPLES01 protein gel makes my hair fall out because i have alot of protein in my hair...some of us black people dont realize that but its one of the reasons other people's hair line is messed up.

  • Would you put a conditioner in there that is supposed to be a wash out conditioner?? like V05?

  • I just went natural, mostly because I'm pregnant, but now I don't want to go back. I love my nappy hair, but it's tooo dry. Your mixture scared me a bit, but it works beautifully and can be washed out easily..Good videos.

  • Pretty dimples..first let me say you have definitely encourage me on my LONG Journey of Natural Hair. Thank you for everything....All your suggestions of products to use and on various styles. I have a question though, I am a person who will be doing some volunteer preaching work in Costa Rica, and there is ALOT of HUMIDITY there and I am trying to find a product that will help my hair not swell up because of the HOT weather. Do you have any suggestions? If so please contact me:

  • I just made this now and tested it on a small section of hair.... Gorgeous! I can never get my curls to pop without being hard. Thanks for the tutorial dimplez.

  • Nice, I have to try this, you have very nice hair...

  • do you get a lot of buildup with these products?

  • girlllllllllllll !!! u put ya whole house in there ! lol

  • Where do you get your earrings? Love em'

  • you can have hair products

  • Thanks for the conditioning gel ingredients I'm definately going to try it your hair looks great!!! do you have any suggestions for protective wear for fall and winter and how to protect your hair in winter. Thanks.

  • you've given me some goodides to combine products, thanx!! i just bought he eco styler olive oil gel

  • WOW...that's alot of products! What i do is in a bottle,i mix v.glycerin, sweet almond oil, and clear ice gel-less is MORE,my dear(well,@lease for me!lol)

  • what amount do you mix together?

  • when are you going to make a makeup tutorial. Your makeup always looks so nice.

  • can't wait 4 my hair to get as long as yours,so cute...peace

  • great ideas, thanks

  • Ecostyler just came out with an excellent Olive Oil Styling Gel, great hold, no residue, and curls that pop!

I agree with you though, you may as well use all your products that YOU paid for that way you don't feel like you wasted your money.

  • is it ok to use this for transitioning hair? I have half relaxed hair, half natural...what do you think???

  • chrystalluvzsmilez- it may not work the same on the relaxed hair

  • I just subscribed and you were the first. I love your vids. Have you used your gel for two strand twists?

  • I just want to ask you if you experience any breakage not from any product that you use but just in general because I find that I am losing alot of hair when i was or comb, or even if you have any recommendtions for hair breakage.

  • jamaicapeace- no i haven't. i use aphogee protein treatment and that helps alot

  • Hi, i have a question. What does aphogee protein treatment do? Do you use it often like everyday?

  • Protein strengthens your hair so there's less breakage. And nooo, that's a deep conditioning treatment. Probably use it...monthly.

  • thank you!

  • You have to wait 6 weeks until you can use it again.

  • try detangling 1st with a detangler comb and use leave in conditione

  • Is it ok to use eco gel on a daily basics?

  • I made my gel thanks to your great video. Just one question. Of all the ingredients you use, what would take out the 'crunch' in the curl pattern? I love the gel, but want my hair to be 'touchably' soft. BTW I subscribed. You were the 1st video I watched and have been a huge fan every since. Keep up the awesome work!

  • Plantiful1- thanks for watching and glad i could help. to make it less crunchy you can use less gel and more leave in conditioner

  • Thanks so much!

  • u can also spray ur hair with olive oil first b4 putting on the gel. that helps

  • hey i just had a question aren't you worried about mixing so many products together in terms of them creating a negative chemical reactions?

  • kahotstuff01- no cuz they are products not relaxera

  • what i meant was if you weren't worried about some of the products not working well with each other not that it would change your texture. you know how cantu shea butter hates all other products like that. but thanks for the answer

  • kahotstuff01- no all that i mix comes out nice and works well

  • very pretty! I use like three of those products since i've been natural

  • Great video I cant for my hair to get longer so I can make this gel.. I love making things out of what I already have... Thanks!

  • this is some serious conditioning gel. this is a great way to save money. wow! great job

  • hi, pls my hair is extrely thin ,what good moisturizer can i use

  • Does it matter if you have the PINK ECO gel. I hear alot about the clear but never the pink. IS there a diffference in the two?

  • hi does the cantu shea butter leave little white balls in your hair? I heard when u mix it with gel that happens.

  • limeh06- no i haven't had that happen

  • Missiz89- oh thats what you think. well when you make your gel you don't have to put that much in. but the title says this is HOW I MAKE MY GEL.

  • Why don't you like the Carol's Daughter Hair Milk?

  • lol omg gurl! it is what it is

  • Awesome job and very creative!!!Thank you so much sweetie!!I am transitioning back to natural and i hope this will help me when i am in between braided hair styles...or i may even use it to assist with that.Wow!Iam impressed! Thanks again!

  • Hi, can you name all the products you've used, cause i can't see them really well!

  • lucynee- eco styler gel, ic fantasia gel, softee gel, cantu shea butter, fresh curls curl refiner from redken, carols daughter hair milk, olive oil cream, biotene h-24, and electric works from redken jojoba oil, vitamen E, olive oil and glycerin. i change it all the time so feel free to mix the things you like

  • rose8877- eco is good to have a slick look with out the flakes and it doesn't dry out your hair.

  • I swear by ECO style now. I originally bought it because I was flying and I thought that they might confiscate my previously favorite gel and now I am HOOKED on ECO style!!!

  • I love your videos. Your hair is beautiful, your personality is sincere. Keep up the good work.

  • thanks for replying. i love your hair styles and how everything you do. plus ur not cocky and loud. you are clam and cool. God bless you and peace be with you. are you a professional hair stylist?

  • thanks 4 dis video gurl i loved how my conditioning gel came out.

  • Can my use my conditioning gel for coil and twist. if not can you tell me what i can use it for other than the wash and go

  • Twixbabi92- yes you can

  • what kind of gel was that in the beginning

    eco??

  • JamaicanCutie18- yea its called eco styler gel

  • Hello your hair is beautiful. I am new to the natural so I am trying different styles. Where do you purchase your oils? From a hair suply store or from a Whole Foods/GNC type of store? I am in a small state and I have to travel to a few different stores to get products. Can you steer me in the right direction. Thanks for the videos.

  • Giggra- some i get from wal-greens or like you said gnc or whole foods. whole foods you will find all of them

  • I made this gel and i absolutely love, love love, this product. thanks for the video. i did have a hard time finding the biotene h24, so i used a curl activator and that worked great.

  • Very creative, do you think that would work on a TWA? I really like your hair and videos.

  • DariceHumphries- oh absolutly. this is perfect for a twa. that was the only thing i used when i did the big chop

  • what is a TWA

  • newNAtualChick- lol tiny winy afro

  • oh ok...i have one of those right now and have nothing to do wit it at all! i really wanna get a weave or something but im not sure.

  • i wanted to tell you that i made my version of your conditioning gel. i am loving this gel. it gives me a great curl. thanks for the info

  • This is a cute hair style here..did u do a vid for it?

  • SheLLizBeinSheLL- yes i do

  • Thanx the reply, I found the vid-thanx again.

  • Hello, prettydimples01. I tried to make the conditioning gel but when I added the cantu shea butter it made little clumps in it. Did that happen to you when you made yours?

  • nolovetoanyone- sometimes that happens depending on what i add to it b/c i change it everytime. but if you stir it well it should smooth out but if it doesn't its still ok

  • oh ok., Thanks for responding. I was alittle scared LOL. I also was admiring your videos. You have really nice hair and you style your hair very well. I have been natural since 2006 but before that around 2002 I was natural then around 2005 I put a relaxer on my own virgin hair and I am not a stylist LOL

  • but u still have to be careful...some won't mix well and won't do right on the hair. For example, I used the Garnier Color Shield Leave In and then tried to go over it and do a wash and go with aloe vera or another kind of gel and it made little white clumps in my hair. Just be careful with it because some compounds in the ingredients can't mix :( lol (.^_^.) Happy Hair Growing God bless! BTW...I LOVE YOUR HAIR DIMPLES!!! :D

  • LadyKOL08-oh well i never have that problem. the white always goes away. just sit under a dry for like 5 min and its gone

  • mkay...thanks Dimples :-) God Bless

  • nolovetoanyone- sorry disregard that last message it was meant for someone else. lol sorry. :)

  • Wow I have a lot of this stuff in my bathroom already. I'm going to try it out. I've been having a hard time finding a product that leaves my hair soft without getting hard and flaking once it dries. Thanks for sharing!

  • Your hair looks so cute..Thanks for the info

  • Thanks. I tried it and had much success. I like the way it makes my hair feel.

  • Your arms are cut up.....nice and the hair is cute!

  • To me, prettydimples01 just uses good ole' common sense along with the educational knowledge and training she's picked up along the way. She pays attention to the attributes of the products she uses, what works well for her hair type, etc. Her hair is bangin'! Healthy and so pretty!

  • MamaTrina- aw thanks for this comment. much ♥

  • You're very welcome. I admire your style - very down to earth and classy. God bless you, dear!

  • Im really curious why don't you like carolsdaughter products(hair milk) bc I use her product and I love it. I know some youtube are nasty when someone doesn't like what they like..but that s not me just curious.

  • sexy21vrn- to me it makes my hair feel nasty. and instead of it making my hair feel moisturized it feels dry

  • oh wow..I did not know that woow okay ..that proves that evern though we are all black every products doesn't work for us all cool thanks. peaceandluv

  • Excellent video! I love the style of your hair that is on your homepage background. I enjoy your creativity; thanks for sharing!

  • those gels always get so crispy from all the protein in them.and peope be wonderin y they hair is so dry after like a week of using it.lol.

  • uh i was just wondring...when it dries is it all hard and crunchy or a little soft?

  • I am gonna try to mix my products i don't care for before i give them away like i always do. What do you think about the cantu leave-in, have you used it by itself, or do u mix it cause you don't care for it?

  • notsoshy28- girl i love that stuff. i never mixed it before

  • can i just use the brown gel that you buy from the hair store? lol. i think its called softee or something like that.

  • I like this idea because it's like you can be a "product-junkie" without really being one, LOL! I don't like to throw away anything either. I would rather give it to someone to use or I'll leave in my "product graveyard" (under my bathroom sink). This is so creative and I think I might try it out too. Thanks for all of your informative videos :-D!

  • i am most definitely going to try this method! girl you on pt. lol

  • where did u get the shea butter and the redken stuff

  • they have the cantu shea butter at walmart. The shea butter isnt raw if thats what u r looking for

  • I didn't care for that Carol's Daughter hair milk either. I found it the other day cleaning out my cabinet and it looks gross, made me feel icky for even putting it on my hair.

  • you should try karen's body beautiful hair milk: good stuff!

  • Eco styler gel rocks! I used it alone and got super results!

  • do you use the krystal or pink eco styler gel. I just brought the krystal get but haven't tried it yet

  • I actually TRIED to make that n it made my hair feel terrible. I knooo for a fact im doin sumting wrong. B4 I tried this, I was mixing the IC Fantasia aloe wit a lil bit of veg glycerine n a few of oils n it wasnt that bad. I still haaatteee gel. U think pomades can do the same thing???? I was thinkin about tryin the Oyin Burnt Sugar.

  • have you seen a difference in your hair when you first went natural to now :)

  • um i think its the same just longer. not really any difference in the texture

  • I made some conditioning gel!!!! It is heaven for my hair! Thanks for the video!

  • cheekqueen- oh cool. glad you like it

  • what a great ideal! i've been struggling with using gel alone, because i HATE how it makes my hair feel...i'm DEFINITELY going to try this!

  • this is great! I"m going to try this when i take my braids out

  • that is a REALLY good idea, i never would have thought of that :)

  • awsome im going to have to try this or something like it with the thing i have

  • your skin is pretty what do you use on it?

  • thank you. i don't use anything special i just use noxzema for my face wash and ambi for my moisturizer.

  • Looks good!! :-)

  • Great idea to get use out of products...will have to check out some things I have, lol. Does your hair flake at all from the conditioning gels???

  • no thats what is so good about it b/c of the leave in conditioner you put in it helps keep your hair moisturized while you have the hard gel mixed in so it won't flake

  • Thank you for sharing your technic!... The last gel looked like snot! :-p LOL

  • thanks I'll try this

  • your welcome. let me know how it works out for you

  • thank you so much im gonna try this :)

  • Thanks for this! You are a natural beauty (and yes, I have said it before)!

  • Thanks for sharing. :0)

  • I will have to try this & hit you up with a video response!!!!

  • yes let me know how it will work out for you

  • I see you are using all the products I gave you. I miss all of them. Well maybe not...I am enjoying my sisterlocks. This is a wonderful video to share with others. Keep it up. Much love always x♥x♥x♥

  • you know you miss putting products in your hair. lol and don't take my "much ♥ always" saying. lol just kidding :)

  • Alright now you've come up with something. I know when I use the ic gel it doesn't give me enough hold but if i use that pro-styl gel it will be good for an hour and then it will be dry and crispy. But I try it sometime because I'm transitioning will a full head sew in weave.

  • this was an awsome idea !! how did you do ur hair are those 2strand twist with ur hair or did you add some in. anyways it very lovely

  • no its my hair. i did it with my hair blown out dry. check out my video twist on dry hair

  • what magical potion are you making.lol

  • lol its the bomb. i love this stuff

  • Wow. You have a lot of products. The only gel I have is JAM. Interesting idea though. I use aloe vera for gel.

  • OMG, You are so clever!!! For my wet & go's, I already "kinda" do what you do but I put on my leave-in conditioner/moisturizer concoction first (which consists of Trader Joe's Nourish Spa conditioner mixed with Olive, Coconut & Avocado oils), I then seal with my homemade oil mix, then apply my EcoStyler gel. I never thought about mixing all the products together. I think I'll try it next time I do a wet & go... THANKS FOR THE VID!

  • thank you. let me know how it turns out for you. :)

  • I most def will... Right now I'm giving my hair a break from daily styling by rocking my crochet slouch hats. Check out my "4th Protective Style" video if you haven't already and you'll see how I've been wearing my hair this week. Thanks again for the vid.

  • oh yes i saw that video and its a good idea but i live in florida so its not that cold here. lol :)

  • I'm jealous... I'm in New Jersey. It's been about 30 sutn degrees.
