  • him, but I didn't know he'd be one of my most favorite christian artists! And, with throat surgery, Dan Fogelberg lost that high ,beautiful voice, but Michael Card has retained it, along with becoming a better musician for so long, now! Thanks for posting this, because I didn't even know it existed! I must get a copy as soon as possible! In Christ's Love, BobbyK

  • Michael Card is one of the best contemporary christian artists in the world for the last 30 years or so! Early in my christian life, an older friend gave me a christian-secular chart that lined up the christian artist to the secular artist! Well, Michael Card lined up to Dan Fogelberg, my favorite secular artist, so I know I'd like

  • One of THE BEST Michael Card songs...

  • thank you very much for posting this song!

  • This WAS ONE OF THE FIRST contemporary christian SONGS I EVER HEARD

AT FIRST I DIDN'T COMPREHEND IT'S MEANING,BUT ONCE I DID, THOUGHT IT WAS terrific!

A FEW YEARS LATER I SHARED IT acapella AT MY POP'S WEDDING.A FEW MORE YEARS I LEGALLY CHANGED MY NAME TO THAT TITLE.

  • @KhronosWolf1 If you like this kind of music, the kind of music that makes one think, I would aslo suggest Keith Green. "Asleep in the Light", "Lies", and "Soften Your Heart" are all very good songs. "So You Wanna Go Back to Egypt" is a very fun song too! You are allowed to think what you want but I take this poetic verse literally. @SamWiseGingy I am very curious. Why do you say Christians are irrational? I will admit some are. They do not know why they believe what they believe. I do. :)

  • I'm not a christian -- very far from it -- but I can appreciate the poetic flow and inspiration displayed in this song.

That said, the people in the comments who are too busy looking for an excuse to self-righteously attack someone else to recognize that 1) poetic verse is not meant to be taken literally and 2) their own holy book uses extremely similar imagery -- such people are, indeed, rather amusing.

  • 5 people went on believing they were wise.

  • Thank you so much Michael Card!

I am 19 and most people my age don't listen to this kind of music but I can clearly see the redemptive power of GOD through this song.

-come be a fool as well-

  • Ah the songwriter is saying that to us, Christ seems like a fool. Jesus was only too happy , in his HUMILITY, to play the fool and show us the work of God... Thanks....

  • File under evidence that Christians are irrational.

  • Really love your songs

  • םי ךםרג ךקא צק נק ש כםםך דקךשי

Lord let become a fool Amen

    Selah.

  • thanks for posting this ive heard him my whole life but never saw him play live

  • I'm so blessed by this music. He was man of God. I can feel God present in his songs. Thank You God for him!

  • Thanks for putting this playlist togeher

  • Thanks. It's so cool to see him perform it live.

  • Thats what is so great about people,God gave us all a certain measure of common sense and its up to us to use it,these were annointed and God given lyrics, yet people can't read between the lines and use a little common sense to figure them out, dont take everything so literally, stop, pray, and open up your spiritual eyes and close your carnal minds!!!!!

  • Something is very wrong about this. How could anyone even suggest that Christ was a "madman who died for a dream" without adding "supposed" or "believed to be"? Where is the fear of God?! Hymns for me thanks!!!

  • @talkingfortruth - I absolutely love the hymns as well, but I think you've missed the message. Too often we use songs as our own worship where we have to recognize them as the worship or offering of the writer or performer. That being said, he is proclaiming his amazement that what others thought was a madman has had a profound effect on his life. I first heard it about 20 years ago and it bolstered my faith.

  • @talkingfortruth when Michael Card calls Christ a "Madman who died for a dream" he is revisiting statements made earlier in the work, i.e. He must have seemed out of His mind/For even His family said He was mad . . ./Could not have seemed perfectly sane.

While you may say this is all idle speculation (that you seem to find irreverent) I think his point is we need to challenge our pat and/or trite concepts about how we view God to create a deeper relationship.

  • @siliquin :

Well personally, even for the insinuation, I would not want to be at the judgment seat of Christ for having referred to him as a "madman who died for a dream". The lyrics are very deceptive and it plants seeds of doubt in the minds of believers. Good godly hymns never make such a statement. Why would anyone ever emphasize the views of the scoffers? We see enough of that, especially today.

  • @talkingfortruth: Would you speak similarly of Lewis for saying that Christ must be a lair, a lunatic or our lord? If you take >anything< out of context, you can draw the wrong conclusions. Say, Ecclesiates 10:19: "A feast is made for laughter, and wine makes life merry, but money is the answer for everything."

  • @LordOregano:

It's the lack of respect of the Lord Jesus Christ that bothers me, and it should bother you too.

P.S. Lewis denied the inspiration of the Psalms, Denied literal Hell, had a Roman Catholic priest at his deathbed. Yes, I'd absolutely question everything Lewis said and did!

  • @talkingfortruth Card brilliantly provides the key to this song and it interests me how many people commenting here have missed it. "For the power of paradox opens your eyes, but blinds those who say they can see." The power of this paradox opened my eyes. What about you?

  • @yippyskippyful albeit that there is a paradox (Hebrews calls Christ dying for the ones who killed him a contradiction) at play in Christ's work - he delivered the goods. He didn't just go around making claims - he "Taught as one having authority" and actually raised the dead, healed the maimed, gave the blind sight - Christ could not be called a fool by an honest observer!!! So why would a professing Christian like Card make such a loose statement? Again I say, where is the fear of God?

  • @talkingfortruth The miracles and all were undeniably amazing, but at the same point His message in many ways flew in the face of the Judaism of the day. Personal relationship with God to a people steeped in ritual based worship, the overwhelming of the sacrificial system of forgiveness, salvation through relationship rather than through the law. As much as people flocked to hear what He said, there were as many cases where people tried to kill him rather than listen to His message.

  • Not always easy but glad I am following that fool!

  • Each time I hear "...trouble over the years."

I try to fill in the blank,

    this time with

    Bedouin dolphin fishing.

(the Bedouins use dolphins to hunt fish.

  • what a powerful song intelligent yet spritual

  • I love Michael Card,s songs they are very scriptured based and so uplifting to the heart.

  • beautiful song, Haven't heard this in such a long time. What a talented songwriter.

  • superb m8.

  • The words are Christ inspired....

  • I think I'd actually prefer it without the drum...

  • thank you for putting these up, this musician has done a great deal of work for the Lord. God bless you.

  • so true. everyone calls me a fool for beleaving in god

  • @Bikertothemax1

Me to were fools together God bless.

  • Only Michael Card can call Jesus a fool, and get away with it.

  • Where did this recording come from ? This is neat!

  • heart touching,i had it for the first time during the surmon can not just stopping listening

  • wow i this song is so touching

  • My favourite :) Anytime I hear this song I regret I have no talent in singing.

  • @GreyGreenEyes

My eyes are the same color! :)

  • @Patternpop :)

  • I am not doing well... please pray.

  • I do not know your struggle, but Jesus does. You are in my prayers and my heart.

  • @folkchick3 Thank you!

  • best song ever

  • I have always loved this song

  • So you think politics has anything to do with true Christianity?

God's people can be found amongst all political structures certainly also Democrats, even Communists), races, countries, even....religions! One has to accept Christ's love not being part of an certain system and yes....God accepts all people, sinners Christ died for to pay for their sins!

No politics in Gods Kingdom, Hallelujah!

  • he's the coolest nerd, big props

  • Fools and fanatics are always certain of themselves, but wiser people are full of doubts

  • great song Michael ..May GOD bless u ever..

1 Corinthians 3:19 explains it all my friends in CHRIST...we live, just the opposite way that GOD wants us to live our life and moreover you will not do one thing better in your life than by accepting JESUS as the LORD and SAVIOUR of your life (a free gift from GOD) ..thats y they say the best things in life are free...hope this helps :) PRAISE JESUS

  • 1 corinthians 1 explains it all too. 1:21 "for since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe."

  • the way its written and played sounds like laughter

  • "When we in our foolishness thought we were wise

He played the fool and He opened our eyes.

When we in our weakness believed we were strong,

He became helpless to show we were wrong"

That really hit me hard.. :)

He has given us so much and I have to say I'm glad to be counted among the 'foolish' for believing in Him.

    Hallelujah! :) Thank you, Lord!

  • Psalm 33 - "Play skillfully" -Thanks Michael for the way you continue the ongoing work of glorifying God in music.

  • This song is so awesome... I could listen to it over and over again.

  • it works on and off for me...

  • hey, um, this song isn't working anymore when i try to listen to it... :( do you know what's going on?

  • I just listened it....actualy Im listening to it now..

  • Perhaps Bonza because you're using it as a quick fix & substitute for going to the source of the living water that inspired Michael to write it? *Soft smile* Don't be afraid, human beings emotional states are up & down like yo yo's naturally & they're always in a state of flux. Talk to Jesus, get to know Him in the active relationship that He's opened up for you & don't go by your feelings. God bless you profoundly this week & always. : )

  • actually... i was talking about my computer not being able to play it. but yes, i do go to the source. i just think that this song is the perfect description of the christian life from the world's eyes.

  • Then please forgive me for reading too much into your words dear Bonanza & God bless you profoundly. : )

  • that's okay! :) thank you for trying to spread Godly wisdom around

  • I love this song.....I've been looking for it for so long on YT....

    Praise God!!

  • Michael is such an amazing lyricist! Would that more musicians could put such profound truths into such simple and melodic packaging. Less milk, more meat!

  • I want to sing this song at my church

  • I've played it for offertory a ton of times, but never sang it. It would be a fantastic song to sing.

  • Yes kbrasee, SING IT :)

I have in- in a bible study and, my Pops wedding reception.

  • Thank you.God bless you.

  • He's a fool for God. Just as we all should be. Amen

  • Believe the unbelievable- come be a fool as well- this fool knows the blessings of doing just that. Loved this song since 1986

  • I ask what would be different today? Would we SEE Christ if He walked the earth now? Just as when He came, would WE demand what WE think we need ... or what God knows we need?

  • They called St. Francis of Assisi "God's Fool", as he strove to live the Gospel Life. I love Michael Card and his ministry...without it, I believe my soul would have suffered greatly--perhaps been lost to sin. God reward you, Michael!

  • I wanna be a fool

  • nothing to say expet..amazing song 5/5

  • How clearly he explains the paradox of Jesus' life! It is this paradoxical life that points out how followers of Jesus must also live against the grain of popular society.

I cannot get enough of this man's music, or his offerings of Biblical teachings.

  • that is a Blessing

  • Thank you Michael. You sir have blessed my life.

  • This is such a Blessing. God Bless

  • I heard this song in class

  • 1 Corinthians 1:18-20:

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate." Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

  • This is neither rubbish or silly. It is true. Yeshua's death and resurrection is foolishness to the wise of this world. The song clearly states that we are the fools and Yeshua became a simple, common man who had neither glory or honor. He was utterly rejected by His own people because His words were foolish to them. The people demanded a King but they needed a lamb. God's plans and ways are foolish to the World.

  • This is rubbish and silly, i will never dare to call god a fool or jesus "god's own fool" thats is just insulting to my christian religion. And i know he doesnt mean it but come on guys, would you dare to call the one who died on the cross, with nails in the palms on his hands a fool.

  • I agree unfortunately. This was one of my favorite songs of Card's until I remembered that 'a fool says in his heart there is no God' (somewhere in psalms) but at the same time he's trying to address the fact that we can't understand God's wisdom and so to us it seems like foolishness. I know that you probably understood this when you wrote your comment, I just felt I should expand on it for others who may not know.

  • The first few lines of song explain what he's talking about, also the last few lines of the chorus go deeper into what he's saying. In 1 Corinthians we see how Paul is trying to get it through their (our) heads that man's wisdom is foolishness to God, since the church there were having so many members claiming to know God but "living in the world" even rejecting the resurrection.

1of7000 hits it on the head. How Jesus saved the world seems completely foolish if God really is all powerful.

  • He's not saying that Jesus is a fool. But according to how the world saw Jesus at the time and how the world sees us who are following him as foolish, is a very true statement. If you have ever been persecuted as a follower of Jesus then you would understand the message that Michael is conveying in the song. It is the world who considers Jesus as a fool because the world is self-centered where as Jesus is and taught his followers to be self-giving. A concept that not understood by unbelievers.

  • Boy, did you miss the point of this song....

  • Can't you all see that by arguing your viewpoint (assuming that you're right) is just proving the point Michael Card was trying to make. Of course there will be people that are going to argue that Christianity is utter foolishness... because it is! (in the eyes of the world)

"So surrender the hunger to say you must know

Have the courage to say I believe

For the power of paradox opens your eyes

And blinds those who say they can see"

To questions, there need be no answers. Faith > Knowledge

  • What you say makes me smile. I agree

  • I agree as well. To say you believe in God often seems like foolishness...yet it makes perfect sense to those who believe.

  • Yeah, remember that the next time you get sick. You'd better not run to a doctor (science). Instead, do what the book of James says and pray to God. But no, you'll be the hypocrite you are.

  • You have an interesting point in saying Christians are hypocrites. The basis on this argument is that actions are the center of the Christian belief. Quite to the contrary:

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast."

    -Ephesians 2:8-9

  • hypocrite: say one thing but do another. he said faith > knowledge but when it hits the fan, will he run to science and all their knowledge or just have FAITH that God will cure him? Hypocrites.

  • I'm not going to argue or shove my thoughts down your throat. We'll just agree to disagree

  • excuse me..Christians never said that Science is leaving faith.Science actually proves that God exists..unless you decide to exercise a different faith, evolution. There is NO evidence for evolution yet many believe it. There is a TON of evidence for creation yet few believe. let me say one thing, what if you're wrong?what if there is a God? If there isn't a God, then we will have lost nothing and have found peace in a world of chaos, but if there IS a God, you will have lost EVERYTHING!

  • "There is NO evidence for evolution yet many believe it. There is a TON of evidence for creation yet few believe"

    You have those EXACTLY reversed.

Let me ask you a question. What if you're wrong about Allah?

  • I would rather serve a God that might not exist that i can love whole heartedly than a god that i fear and can never love that does exist.

  • what god do you fear? There is no god at all so the best thing to do is life YOUR life and not one someone tells you is true (ie, your friends, parents, pastor, etc). But like the book says, the path is narrow and not everyone will find it. I got lucky.

  • Well, most of the things God commands us to do are for our good and the good of those around us, so if we go against God's commandments, we are only hurting ourselves and those around us

  • Well then we got nothing to lose, but if your're wrong, ur in trouble. Even if God doesn't exist, well we'd be better of with a God such as we describe

  • "The paradoxes of faith only make sense in light of the Kingdom. We are called to live these paradoxes"

    Good song.

  • I saw Michael Card live once and oh boy the Holy Spirit was all over the place!!

  • for those who are perishing the message of the cross is foolishness but to us who are being saved it is God's power. I Corinthians 1:13

  • sorry it was I corinthians 1:18

  • Ah, yes, the first Ad Hominem attack. If we don't agree, it's because we are perishing.

It reminds me of Bush: Either you're with us or you're against us, i.e., is you don't support me, you are a terrorist.

  • do you believe murderers are wrong?

    absolute truth

  • You got it...

"He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters." --Matthew 12:30

You are either for or against us. There is middle ground.

It might not be true in Bush's case...but it certainly applies to Christianity.

  • I meant there is NO middle ground.

  • This is one of my favorite Michael Card songs. It admits and glorifies the fact that depraved human reason is blind to the truth. Human reason will always see the truth as foolishness. It will always see Jesus, the living Truth, as a madman.

  • This is by far my favorite song by him. I love it. There is only one thing I can't recall being in the Bible that he says. "Even His family said he was mad". If someone can show me where that is please do tell.

  • KJV Mark 3:21

21And when his friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself.

    NIV Mark 3:21

21When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, "He is out of his mind."

It's not entirely clear whether it was friends or family.

  • Ah. Thank you! I've been looking for the verse it was refering to

  • You have to understand that an English Bible is a translation. Most words don't have exact meanings. The original Greek txt says literally, 'the ones who were about Him'. The translators just added a comment to explain who it was. Also the other issues below - you bring up lots of questions. We have to determine if God changes ontologically, as a being, or change His decisions? God always promises condemnation for evil, however He allows mercy for those who repent and trust in Jesus.

  • I used to listen to him a looong time ago. Long before I abandoned Christianity. I still like the music, just not the words.

  • Why did you abandon christianity?

  • But then... it wasn't about "christianity" in the first place... :-?

  • Your point is merely an attempt to say that YOUR belief is the truth and any others is false. No True Scotsman fallacy. It wasn't about CHRISTIANITY, it was about JESUS! weeeeeee

Please. Go read your Bible starting at Genesis and see how barbaric and contradictory it is. Please?

  • I beg to differ. The Bible has no fallacy in it. I could point out quite a few that do, but the true Bible, one not written by the Alexandreans who hated God, has no fallacy, in fact, as science progresses they are finding that it states many things before it was told to be true. What previous works do you claim they derive from? I have read Genesis through Revelation several times. I see no wrong in the King James version.

  • No wrong? Is it right for God to drown a week old baby in a worldwide flood - for something its parents did? Is it right for god to kill every Amalekite because of what their ancestors did 400 years earlier? That contradicts the idea of the person who sins pays the price, not someone else. I'll post another example of the incredibly harmonious Bible.

  • So you wanted God to kill just the parents and have the child starve to death? There is one, and I repeat, one human that has been sinless. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

  • God thought by killing people it would remove sin from the world? Not a smart god, eh? Let's noah live only to ... sin? No, the only logical thing is if God really exists, he should have never put the tree in the garden to tempt them to sin. etc.

  • God gave us choice, free will. He did not make us robots. As this song states "God's holy wisdom seems foolish to men."

  • Let's see... the choice he gives is a) worship him or b) roast forever in hell. Some choice. What about just live and let live? Your entire belief system is not only illogical but barbaric and cruel. You believe that a God (named... God! hahah) impregnated a virgin (engaged, no less) so he could kill himself to appease himself so he wouldn't have to roast everyone for all eternity because... he loves us so much. Please, wake up.

  • Well Prof. Greibowitz, you are paying too much attention to the comments and not the song, otherwise you would have your answer. Believing in God is foolishness, the Bible even says so. But it is foolish because the world will never understand of the great love God has given. Why would God sacrifice His very being to save some disobedient creatures. That is what is illogical.

  • He didn't. What sacrifice was it? Jesus didn't stay dead. In fact, he rose from the "dead" and became Lord of the universe. Some sacrifice, eh? Did you know that the resurrection account isn't present in the earliest copies of Mark?

  • The sacrifice wasn't that He stayed dead, the sacrifice was that He died. The amazing thing is that He rose again. It is some sacrifice! :) Even the work of the sacrifice could not stop God. And just because the earliest manuscripts of Mark don't mention resurrection, it doesn't mean that it didn't happen. Every NT letter mentions it. The evidence of the texts point to it, including when Jesus says He will die and rise which is in Mark, even if one early manuscript did not detail it all.

  • Christ couldn't stay dead...because he was sinless. this is the mystery of the Gospel. God is the initiator of life, so how could he die? But He died, but because he is sinless, death could not hold him. it's like killing two birds with one stone. He saves the sinners and then comes back to life.

PS - good thing the other Gospels have an account of Christ's resurrection, or all the Christians would have been in grave trouble

  • Martha, quick question... if Jesus didn't stay dead, um, then, where is the sacrifice? Jesus didn't give up his life and God didn't lose his son. In fact, Jesus GAINED from the death by becoming glorified and the judge of the entire world, yes?

Please explain to a poor, lost atheist how Jesus' death was a sacrifice.

  • Did He not sacrifice when he gave up his sovereign throne and was born as a dependent baby? Did he not sacrifice when the Lord of Lords, creator of the Universe before whom all creation trembles, humbled himself and instead of being served, he served others letting himself be mocked? Did he not sacrifice when he died on the cross bearing sins that were not his own, so that the sinner could be forgiven? regardless of whether he rose from the dead, at one point he died and THAT'S what matters

  • You are cleverly changing the question. Jesus' death on the cross is considered his sacrifice. I'll ask one more time. How is his death a sacrifice when he did not stay dead?

  • I talked about death in my other answer too. Nevertheless, if you need more proof, here is more on Christ's sacrifice. "He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." --2-Cor 5:21 Is it not a sacrifice when somebody takes on the blame of another person, so that they would be saved? at one point in time, Christ died for somebody else, which makes it a sacrifice. He just couldn't help but rise from the dead

  • but let me tell you something. you are not looking for the truth because it'd evident. after reading what i said you are going to find every possible way to rebut me. people don't believe in God not necessarily b/c there is not enough evidence but b/c belief in God makes the human lose superiority...and humans will do much to fight for power

But if you really understand the fact that you are a lost and poor atheist looking for a way out, go read the gospels...

  • You are not looking for truth because it's evident. Truth doesn't need someone to apologize for it. As for the gospels, they contradict each other on every other page and are, therefore, not trustworthy sources of information.

  • Bro,go back and do ur research.Da Gospels have been proven as a credible historical source.many things are confusing though. How can Christ be 100% God and 100%man at da same time?Well never grasp it in this lifetime, but da essence of the Gospel is evident.1God is Holy, hates sin 2punishment for sin-death 3ur a sinner 4u deserve death 5 but b/c Christ died for u on the cross,u can be saved from death. for further reference, i suggest you read the book, "I Don't Have Enough faith to be an atheist"

  • It was a great sacrifice because he was the living God and He died. There is no greater love than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. He died a bloody painful horrible death. Even for you who sees no value in it.

  • The Old Testament reveals what humans deserve, but the New Testament, New Covenant, reveals the heart of God; giving us a second chance. Think about it. His own creation turn it's back on God. He's kind enough to give us the power of "choosing", but we didn't chose wisely. His love and mercy made it possible for us to be restored. We don't have the mind of God so somethings appear to be foolish to us when really his foolishness is still greater than all of man's wisdom.

    Friend

  • 1) Sin is an inheritance from yor parents; therefore, all men are sinners. -- I know, I don't quite like this myself :P

    2) Not all things God permits/does are referring to a single person. Remember Sodoma and Gomora, when God wanted to kill all; in the end, he saved Lot, but that after a long talk... The whole cities would have to pay for the sins, including Lot, initially.

  • @j3sfreak Even if Lot would have died , God does not forget those who are saved ... ever ... when we die is unimportant.

  • @j3sfreak

God controls everything He controlled what Abraham was going to say so I disagree.

He knew before the beginning of time what He would do in all things.

  • Another for HollyeeAckerman18 to ponder: Does God change his mind? Numbers 23:19

19 God is not a man, that he should lie,

nor a son of man, that he should change his mind.

    1 Samuel 15:29

29 He who is the Glory of Israel does not lie or change his mind; for he is not a man, that he should change his mind."

    Malachai 3:6

6 "I the LORD do not change.

    Exodus 32:14

14And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people. (ie, god changed his mind)

  • For HollyeeAckerman18: Does God change his mind?

    1 Chronicles 21:14-15

14 So the LORD sent a plague on Israel, and seventy thousand men of Israel fell dead. 15 And God sent an angel to destroy Jerusalem. But as the angel was doing so, the LORD saw it and was grieved because of the calamity and said to the angel who was destroying the people, "Enough! Withdraw your hand."

Clearly, God is depicted as intending to destroy but changed his original plan after seeing the carnage.

  • The Bible is the single most contradictory work on the planet. The gospels derive from previous literary works and there is no evidence for Jesus outside of the Bible. I could go on but basically, I discovered it was false.

  • I beg to differ. The Bible has no fallacy in it. I could point out quite a few that do, but the true Bible, one not written by the Alexandreans who hated God, has no fallacy, in fact, as science progresses they are finding that it states many things before it was told to be true. • What a troll. Glad you like the music, but you were obviously looking for an argument.

  • The thing that sets Michael apart from so many other artists is the sound Bibilcal foudation for most of his music. I really feel edified and uplifted by his songs.

  • Cool Dude!

  • My husband and his friends in the Joyful Noise would always include this song when they traveled from church to church. It has always been my favorite and I appreciate being able to see Michael Card preform it. We don't often think of Jesus in this way and it is so true! What He did for us is foolish by human standards. It really helped me as a young adult to understand the paradox of Jesus in the Bible. Praise God!

  • Is this the joyful noise from Tallowood baptist Church?

  • Nope it was and I guess still is the Joyful Noise from First Presbyterian Church in Madisonville, KY. The only gospel Presbyterian singing group we know of! LOL It was formed in the mid to late 1970's They were first named the 4 Mikes and then as they got members that were not named Mike they changed it to the Joyful Noise. I'm sure there are many groups called the Joyful Noise. God Bless, Mommybugz

  • I really appreciate the song, coming from the academic community. And that is why Mike wrote it.
