why would any stand up surfers bother?? this is obviously only suitable for bodyboarders and bodysurfers. I have nothing wrong with standups, but surfing this sort of wave just isnt a good idea for them or anyone else paddling out.
@ssurf30 mostly to protect body surfers i think.... it's an old body surfer break so i think when boarders started showing up there a deal was worked out with the lifeguards to allow the body surfers a place to catch some waves without fear of being smashed ... until 5p that is...
