i think most of the time etiquette dictates that a man should do for a woman, (buying jewelry, holding the door, etc) more often thana woman does for a man. at least in terms of romantic gestures. this isnt to say that women do nothing, i know that any woman can do whatever a man can if she has the ability and want to do so. but the same can also be said of men taking on "woman's role". women in general are not better than men in general, and men in general are not better than women in general.
