  • bohemian rhapsody is the best queen song?well i wouldnt say so

  • You are my mother moon. I love you, farrouk. I love my moon .I love my mercury. I love you.

  • I love Queen's early work and I think that this song and the entire Queen II album is completely underrated, but I'm seriously doubting the capability of them singing the screams and the harmonies in this song that well live without dubbing....

  • I love the Queen II album. This is one of my favourite tracks on it.

Anyone who dislikes this song just doesn't get what Queen were all about!

  • It's hard to believe Freddie wrote this song. This sounds like a song that Brian would write since Brian has always been the one who writes the heavy metal guitar riff songs.

  • wow that performance was freaking cool - i've never seen this before. always loved the album.

  • Am I the only one who's watching Freddie talk sitting here all,

    "OMFG, he's so perfect!"

  • Fantastic song.

  • ogre battle was always great live

  • Cover to cover the finest album ever produced. Seamless.

  • They could play here Great King Rat and Doing all right.

  • written by Freddie Mercury released on Queen II 1974 this is a great song I have been a fan for a very long time this is one of my favorite albums.if you listen from cover to cover its like a musical journey each song on this album from White Queen side one..and March of the Black Queen side 2 to The Fairy Feller's Masterstroke. this song...and all the great ones in between ..Now I was lucky saw them in concert in '77 and'78 they were brilliant..4 men absolute perfect genius QUEEN

  • i really love queen...and queen II was a great album...but this live version....sorry...tooooo slow.... -.- i mean.......no...

  • SUUUUPPPPPPERRRRRRRO

  • only 64,000 views on this and 11 mil on "killer queen", ogre battle & Queen II is their best stuff, too bad most of their fans dont even know about the first two albums which shows how amazing they really were.

  • @baddguitars Totally agreed

  • @baddguitars I have to agree with that. I even own their first two albums.

  • Just AMAZING

I would love to have been in a Queen concert not to just go wild with music but just to be surrounded by unreality

  • Incredible version of an incredible song... Queen II is surely the best, and most underappreciated, album Queen ever recorded. The band's chart hits really do belie their true sound, especially those from the Queen II - A Day at the Races era. Some of the most wonderful recordings ever committed to tape.

  • I wish I could've been around back then to be front and center at this concert to witness the magic... and Freddie's ass in those tight pants!

  • how can anybody in their right mind compare adam lambert to this...saddens me.

  • This guy was metal before metal was metal.

  • This is one awesome song off of Q2!! It is truly a kick ass song!! Queen is truly a phenomenal band. A band all their own!! When you first hear them, you are hooked. And Freddie's absolute amazing voice draws you right in and when you see him perform onstage, WOW!! Oh how I miss him. The tears just flow when I remember him. A true loss to this world. R.I.P. Freddie. Forever missed and forever loved!! ♥♥

  • saw queen 1975 capitol theatre passaic n.j.

    with kansas and argent

queen blew the balls off those guys!!

    Long live rock!!

  • I remember the Queen II concert in Madison Wisconsin, the first of 4 I saw there with Queen. They weren't even headlining! REO and Foghat played, Foghat headlined.

  • I remember the Queen II concert in Madison Wisconsin, the first of 4 I saw there with Queen. They weren't even headlining!

  • As a good friend of my proclaimed "That faggot can sing!" Indeed he can, indeed he can.

  • I hate overdubs. Queen didn' t need them.

  • HOTHOTHOTHOTHOTHOT :P

    Freddie Ilooveyoou.

    Always have always will <3

  • of course this is live!!!! *_____*

  • I didn't know that some Queen songs were refering to a videogame! They have done EVERYTHING...

  • @GreatQueenFan other way around. this was before video games.

  • @daviddet woops! then i made a fool of myself... :-S

  • @GreatQueenFan See what a fool you've been?

  • @GreatQueenFan Yeah, this was made like two decades before the game :D

"The series originator Yasumi Matsuno was inspired by the rock band Queen's second album, which contained two songs titled "Ogre Battle" and "The March Of The Black Queen", to name this game. Even the "Rhyan Sea" in the Ogre Battle world is named after "Seven Seas of Rhye". "

There was also a video game called "Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together" - Yay for Queen references!

  • @Huruid great information! thank you... and... shame on me again...

  • who would not like this video or song? who! oh yeah lady gaga fanboys

  • @TheSHEERHEARTATTACK Ironic really, giving that part of her name stems from a Queen song. =P

  • Queen Rocks

  • I'm a Black Female bassist who was really inspired by John Deacon.

    Long Live Queen!!!

  • @Raven5563 wow, a black female bassist? You must be GORGEOUS playing bass, I love seeing girls playing instruments, like Mika's drummer.

  • @bessadale

Uhhmm.. ah, thanks! Not sure about gorgeous, but I *can* play. :-)

  • thx to all you poeple for ur nices comments

  • fantastic!!!!!!!battle over!!!!!!!

  • What the fuck is Brian May wearing?!! O_o

  • @palpatine17 awsome stuff

  • @palpatine17 It's a wizard's sleeve

  • Is the "ah -ah -ah" thing pre-recorded???

  • @mecetnoca there are version of ogre battle like in hammersmith when you can crearly hear rogger and freddie singing those high parts so i dont thing its pre recorded

  • @gdsc4 The final audio for the video released from the rainbow is a culmination of 2 nights. So technically it wasn't pre-recorded but was heavily edited.

  • I still think there's something not right about those back up vocals. The rest of the track sounds like a live recording, but the backing vocals so like they might have been overdubbed later. They sound too perfect to be live. As much as I love this band, the backing vocals rarely sounded this good onstage.

  • 1:32 - 1:34 omfg¡¡¡ got a shiver¡¡¡

  • powerful metal stuff, original and strong

  • I'm glad I got to see them live in the 70's. You couldn't top them!

  • This is a metal song

  • Queen and Led Zeppelin man!!!

  • I love Queen <3

  • tanto Queen quanto o Led estavam afrente de sua época....mas porq pouca gente cita o Jethro Tull??? isso sim foi atemporal ;)

  • When queen were growing up they were surrounded with many different types and styles of music, probably all from one radio station! Also they were young and impressionable when jimi hendrix, the who, cream, yardbirds, and led zep had came out.Add in they grew up in an era that without imagination, you had nothing coupled with incredible talent and HARD ASS WORK,which seems to have been lost on the younger generation, leads me to think that we will never see another queen.

  • @fretfirestarter This is EXACTLY what I think. There will never be another band with the magnitude of talent that queen had. The proliferation of technology and the flattening of the world has eliminated imagination and the effort it takes to craft something original and artistic.

  • @humby123 you're compleatly right

  • @fretfirestarter Clearly you haven't looked hard enough. Go give Muse a listen.

  • queen II was always my all time favorite album....very underrated!!

  • @scaramoochscaramooch

    the best one definitely !

  • @scaramoochscaramooch QUEEN II is truly a genius album. Not only for the brilliantly written songs but also for the production given the studio technology at the time, the end result was a remarkable achievement. You are correct a VERY under-rated album.

  • @scaramoochscaramooch So true, it is hard to believe that they only released one song as a single from that album.

  • Queen and Led Zeppelin were way ahead of time!! love both... great music.. but yeah FM is the best performer!

  • yes ,yes,! there is a very shallow talent pool these days! the record companies go to music schools for talent now, lol!!

  • true....

  • this song sounds way ahead of its time

  • The best Queen song by a mile - listen to that drumming!

  • i love this concert queen were the and still are the best live act to go and see

  • this blows....

anything by anyone else ever out of the water because its fucking AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • fuckin crazy!

  • I thought that the Hammersmith performance was the best, but I hear this, and im retracting now!

  • Nice !!!!

  • CUZ YOU GOTTA GO SOUTH!!!!

  • Queen invented thrash metal with Ogre Battle and Stone Cold Crazy

  • how is the name of the guitar man'?

    como se llama el guitarrista?

  • brian may is the guitarist.

  • It´s not Carlos Santana, por supuesto. :-)

  • una de las joyas menos conocidas de queen

  • I love Queen..........

  • Really great live version. I am amaze it is so good given the complexity of the song.

  • Death on two legs

  • this song sounds a little bit like power metal.

  • Sheer Heart Attack is a pretty kickass album overall.

  • princes of the universe, the show must go on, gimme the prize, great king rat and seven seas of rhye are some of my favorite hard rock type queen songs.

  • most of the songs that Brian May wrote were their hard rock songs (and their best in my opinion)

  • Sort of true, but a number of the songs referenced above (Princes, Great King Rat, Seven Seas) were written by Freddie, as was Ogre Battle, of course.

  • right, but then you've got keep yourself alive, son and daughter, sweet lady, tie your mother down, hammer to fall, etc.

  • Oh absolutely...Brian was definitely known as their hard rock guy, overall, but then of course he also wrote beautiful ballads like Dear Friends and All Dead, All Dead...that was the beauty of Queen - they were so diverse in their writing; you couldn't pigeonhold any of them to one style of music.

  • @daviddet yeah..but freddie wrote this song

  • @sue213ful right, but i'm just saying that usually brian was the member who wrote a lot of the really hard rockers. but you're right, freddie wrote this one, and it's easily one of my favourites of all time. regardless, all of the members have several songs that are amazing contributions, which is extremely rare in most bands.

  • so fuckin original. what a killer band.

what a trip back in time to about age 13-14.

still sounds every bit as good.tingly all over.

  • I can't tell, Is Freddie wearing the same thing that he was wearing at Hammersmith Odeon? It SURE looks like it!

  • yep pretty much

  • fantastico

    freddie magnifico

  • wow, lots of songs on that list i dont know. and im a queen fan. learn something new evry day. (btw is jailhouse rock doesnt belong to queen right?)

  • Yeah, jailhouse rock isn't a Queen song. It was originally sung by Elvis, but NOT written by him. I like Queen's version better personally... Freddie made EVERYTHING better! lolz :D

  • OGRE BATTLE LIVES FOREVER MORE !

  • ULTIMATE METAL SONG!

  • yeah i love this live!!!!

  • thank god theres no 100 percent ambience albums, why do cd shops not sells these anymore

  • come fosse antani...for me...

  • i like the guitarsolo so about 3:55 - 4:00.

  • sweet!

  • Wonderful performance.

Pure metal (the best) ,perfect vocals (really live?) .The best of Queen.

    About Freddy ? No comments : He's a Legend , a God of Rock .

  • queen are always live

  • @jabandrade i think u meant to say THE god of rock

  • @jabandrade yes i agree tottaly. it seems to be a studio version. (but it's Freddie instead of Freddy)

  • @jabandrade Freddy was one of the very few frontmen in history who could ALWAYS sound just as good as the album live, no matter what. That's why I argue that he is probably the best rock singer of all time.

  • @poopmaster13 Best singer of all time really <3 :)

  • @poopmaster13 He has always sounded the same, if not better by a longshot when they performed.. :)

  • METAL!!!!!

I think Queen are the best metal band in 70s Brian and Freddie are fantastic!!

  • I think early Queen is far from the glam rock that they are credited for. In fact they were probably one of the heaviest bands of the 70's.

  • @Stefanowillrockyou and so are Roger and John!!!

  • vocals are excellent, just like the recording

  • freddie looked like a king in here, talking to the townspeople!! so majestic, so.. cool!

  • it's brian and why would you say something dumb like i want his babies O.o and Queen, freaking good performance

  • "Have you missed us?" haha

  • god he lwks soo diffent lol his voice still just as powerfull tho and brain well hes just a god the whole group are gods of rock

  • I BELIEVE IN JOHN DEACON !!!

  • Deaconites unite!

  • he must be the idol for all the bassplayers

  • John was one of the most underrated bass players. And still one of the best! I would form an "underrated" band with him, Les Binks (from Judas Priest) on drums, Tommy Bolin (if he was alive) on guitar, and... hmm... can someone suggest an underrated singer?

  • It's been said before but I would suggest Glenn Danzig from The Misfits or Marc Bolan from T Rex

  • bessadale: ummm, Cronos from Venom??He is credited for creating black metal, while he is very underrated. Umm he is also a bassist.

  • GOD Those Harmonys are so nice sounding in this! This best I have seen or heard on any live show of Queen! AMAZING!

RIP Freddie We Miss You So Much!

  • indeed Queen 2 is the best album, but there are songs worth of that album one for all "prophet song" from "a night..." and guys don't forget sheer heart attack all songs written by FM there are pure orgasm

  • Queen II - best album in my opinion

  • i understand perfectly axel,it sounds better slow and it does sound close to the album version,of course they never replicated there album versions to there live versions,us true queen fans all know that!

  • i never said that they were replicating there songs live from there album versions! What i said was the live version sounded close to me,just to me as close as the album version!

  • it's amazing how close they got the live version to sound just like the album version, even though the album version was recorded in 1973 and this was perfomred late 1974.after taking a long tour!

  • Queen were never a band to replicate the album version to the live version....they always wanted to play their stuff different when doing it live...or else wots the point...ud b as well sittin at home listening to the albums and not go to gigs

  • I love the look on his face when he asks, "Have you missed us?". Hahaha.

  • Oh yeah... QUEEN I and QUEEN II are excellent albums!!

    The best songs ever.

  • <<QUEEN>> FOREVER

  • The Nasty Queenies... those I most miss. Those golden days of Queen. Yeah, I agree, it's WAY TOO SLOW. But it's a rare specimen. By the way... it's a HARD song to play live with such precision. There are other faster versions here, on YouTube. LOVE QUEEN, FOREVER

  • I got this concert on DVD.

  • I Was Born To Love You is a pop song, it's nto Queen song, it's Mercury's persobal, and it is far for the good ones...

But Ogre Battle... Ou hell ye.

Tyhe nastie Queenies are back! What do you think of that? LOLMAO...

  • ha ha ha every one knows the best one is I was born to love you. but this one is up there with stone cold crazy.

  • fuck yeah! the nastie Queenies are back! lol ive been looking for that for ages :)

oh yeah, and ogre battle is the greatest queen song of all time

    well in my opinion

  • Ogre Battle always sounds lame live. They play it too slow. But it still one of the best songs ever. Hell, the only song that tops it is Don't Stop Me Now.

  • How can you say it sounds bad live? Compare Ogre Battle live to any live from any band that we have _now_, Ogre battle lives forevermore.
