I know a lot of people are mistaken of Vanessa Hudgen's voice overruling your voice. Thinking that Vanessa's voice is actually yours. Try an instrumental version so people wouldn't be rather confused. Impossible to hear voice under such loud music, either sing it acapella or with instrumental. Because right now all I could say is that you're thinking you're good and becoming cocky of your voice when nobody can really hear it.

May I suggest that when you sing high notes, you don't push the sound through your throat? It's kind of hard to explain without showing you in person, but basically you would have a much easier time hitting those high notes if you tried to push the air through your nose.
