I agree. The Ra were then a purposefull organization. @calBAH. I have lived in the Republic & found the vast majority hate the IRA. I enjoyed the pubs & made some great freinds there & found northern English humour to be no different to Irish humour. Hate to tell you they lost, they were set up to get a united Ireland (Fail). The British didn't leave, Palace Barracks, Antrim, Londonderry, etc. All still have soldiers, mabye of Northern Irish background, but still part of the British Army (Failed).
