This is barely anything connection wise, i've been backstabed across the map hit from across the map and backstabed while i was backstabing someone, not to mention getting back stabed from the front or the sides many many times.

I got backstabbed on one of those railed buttresses at Anor Londo, I was wondering how my invader managed to get behind me to pull it off since I was up in front of him. Ah- well, he/she was polite about so it didn't bother me to much- however I was in the process of killing those damn Knight archers pfft. Fun times, fun times.

I had a lagstab where I got up from a more legit Backstab, rolled away, turned around and saw my attacker hit the air randomly. One second later I'm teleported back to him in a chain backstab.

@good6111 It's cool, but if you're in a covenant that does random invasions have you're equipment ready as long as you have the summoning ring. Back when I did darkmoon I always had either the hornet or darkwood grain ring equipped just in case this happened.

haha hes clearly used a lag switch, its obvious and ive seen lag switchers before that stab you from 30 metres away, as long as he can get behind u and stab u in under 8 seconds of u standing still then he can use lag switch. it just makes your character stop moving, then he stabs, flicks switch back, it teleports you back to where he stabbed u and u get stabbed

agb3535 is right. running on a bridge with a pursuer right behind you is almost certain backstab, just because it lagged doesnt mean he didnt get a backstab. Other people who mentioned a person being in front of them then being behind them backstabbing, you slingshot around the person if you run at them while lock on.

I actually had it happen once where me (darkmoon invader) and a darkwraith invader converged upon a host who was runnign away and both simultaneously backstabbed him, as in, both of our backstab animations went off at the same time, he took 1400 damage and died instantly.
