i have to say: i'm very impressed with the version 11.10 beta 2,(i'm run it from my USB pendrive) i didn't like the Unity desktop in 11.04 version, but this time it is much, much better and even i've been a huge fan of Gnome Shell and hope for Gnome 3.2, i have to give my congratulations to Ubuntu team, this a great, great version. Let's see the final version.
In all honesty probably the best non-linux-user mainstream news review of Ubuntu I've seen. It isn't entirely accurate but it sure beats the reviews I've had this misfortune of seeing on US Media outlets.
My hipster senses are tingling... "I used Ubuntu before it got popular in Indian tech media". Kidding of course =P.
This is great! I love when Linux gets publicity, and especially Ubuntu since I use it. People should note that everything doesn't always work. I would suggest buying an Ubuntu computer, or make some slight research to see if you specific computer will run Ubuntu good.
The reviewers missed some huge reasons why one would really use Ubuntu Desktops - "they are virus free". Yes they are lesser prone to viruses even than Mac. So if you have to give a computer to your kids or wife or anybody else, who doesn't understand security, so much, it makes sense to give them a Ubuntu desktop.

Exactly! I found myself spending way to much time configuring/troubleshooting security suites on Windows. Now I'm on Ubuntu Linux and I don't have to waste my time on antiviruses anymore!

Great Ubuntu explanation.
I use Ubuntu since 2008. First as dual boot with Windows to get used to it, but now I only have Ubuntu left on my computer.
