You want to know what happened to Nickelodeon? The atmosphere vanished. The logo & channel changed into a boring turd, "Nick". Slime Time Live, UPick Live, lively bumpers & promos & commercials vanished. Wonderful blocks, cartoons, live-action shows, sketch comedies, game shows, news, magazines, ALL gone. Before the changes, Nickelodeon used to glorify slime, fun, immaturity, informative topics, imagination, and activity. Now, they don't stand for anything and glorify the powerful dollar.
I remembered all but 3 of these bumps! 90s Nick was the golden age. iCarly is OK but it's because it was created by the same guy who did All That and Keenan & Kel. Everything else on it is crap...but at least it's better than Disney.
I was born in 97' and I miss these so much the icarly shit on there now sucks I watched this and cried because I grew up in a VERY broken home and this was my only escape to be a kid and have a good laugh now it's just shitty crap. teen nick has it but it's just not the same. 😢 💔

I totally agree with everyone on this page I mean at least the 90's gave kids a little respect now all kids in any show is either a brat or some type of villain,for example that channel OWN is so called honoring children with an episode of Dr. Phil called ''brat camp'' and some kind of marathon of ''I didn't know I was pregnant '' really 2000's really? I think those that say things suck now are mostly nostalgic. Remember, Nick is a KIDS network. I was born in 82, so I remember the early stuff. But I stopped watching around 95. I can guarentee you though that kids growing up today will probably look at current Nick as fondly as we look at the 80s-90s.

A percentage of 90's Kids still feel that Nickelodeon & Disney Channel should be airing programs that appeal to people who are now in their 20s & 30s. Nick & Disney are geared towards people who are in their mid teens and younger....and the networks need to evolve to attract viewers who are in that age bracket.
@KiraBlaize. Nostalgia is only a minor part of the reason in my opinion. There is a significant decrease in creativity with the new shows. This is mostly because of an increase of censorship, executive interference, and in minor cases, a mistreatment of writers. By focusing more on a business aspect rather than a creative aspect, Nickelodeon has turned into the current Nick we see today.

It's amazing how some of these bumpers had music that was jazzy/smooth with quintet singers accapella and even opera. Now everything has thumping bass and and auto tune. Sure they did "The 90s is All That" and they brought back some bumpers but they also made some really really embarrassing new ones
Doug, Ren and Stimpy, and Rugrats are three very different shows. One's down to earth and relatable, one's completely off the wall, and one's... well, babies. They all premiered the same day in 1991. This shows how waek Nick's gotten lately in terms of variety and originality. Today, you got the choice of iCarly, Victorious, or True Jackson VP, all of which are basically the SAME DAMN SHOW. I'm happy they gave us the 90s reruns, but I'd love to see something new that lives up to that standard.

I am 11 born in 2000 but i still remember these old bumpers and logos and shows but especially... Face. Face was something fun to see when i was 3 and i enjoyed the shows. It makes me sad to see so much change that was once a great place to watch my fave shows. Now i have given you up because your shows no longer interest me. I feel old saying this but i had to let this be heard and mabye someone will step up to make a channel for old shows and 80's 90's stuff since i was about 4 at the time it

I think those that say things suck now are mostly nostalgic. Remember, Nick is a KIDS network. I was born in 82, so I remember the early stuff. But I stopped watching around 95. I can guarentee you though that kids growing up today will probably look at current Nick as fondly as we look at the 80s-90s.

A percentage of 90's Kids still feel that Nickelodeon & Disney Channel should be airing programs that appeal to people who are now in their 20s & 30s. Nick & Disney are geared towards people who are in their mid teens and younger....and the networks need to evolve to attract viewers who are in that age bracket.

@KiraBlaize. Nostalgia is only a minor part of the reason in my opinion. There is a significant decrease in creativity with the new shows. This is mostly because of an increase of censorship, executive interference, and in minor cases, a mistreatment of writers. By focusing more on a business aspect rather than a creative aspect, Nickelodeon has turned into the current Nick we see today.

@KiraBlaize Not really: The new nick makes crappy shows today only for the money, not for the kids. Kids don't learn crap watching the new Nick. Like that newspaper article saying that the new spongebob episodes are making kids have ADHD. I believe them. When I watched the earlier spongebob episodes back from 1999 to at least 2004, they were fun. After that, after the movie came out, they made the show so overly crazy that I wouldn't be suprised if kids did get ADHD from watching the new shows

Okay, okay. Us late 90's kids might've not been in the moment. But we sure did enjoy the re-runs! But anyway, cartoons now days are more corporate than playful. I don't think the people who make cartoons now-a-days really care about the kids, they just care about the money, so they do half-ass jobs making cartoons.

It's amazing how some of these bumpers had music that was jazzy/smooth with quintet singers accapella and even opera. Now everything has thumping bass and and auto tune. Sure they did "The 90s is All That" and they brought back some bumpers but they also made some really really embarrassing new ones

Doug, Ren and Stimpy, and Rugrats are three very different shows. One's down to earth and relatable, one's completely off the wall, and one's... well, babies. They all premiered the same day in 1991. This shows how waek Nick's gotten lately in terms of variety and originality. Today, you got the choice of iCarly, Victorious, or True Jackson VP, all of which are basically the SAME DAMN SHOW. I'm happy they gave us the 90s reruns, but I'd love to see something new that lives up to that standard.
