  • didnt the term 'dub' mean simply a b-side without the lyrics??

    Just enjoy the music!!

  • Difference between Dub and Dubstep;

    Dub is wonderful, beautiful music.

Dubstep is a shitty drum beat and a laptop that sounds like it's malfunctioning.

  • @heatsammyd so true

  • NO....People are confused.....I looked up dub step wanting this and i got some fagety ass dance music. They have no right to Have it Disgrace the Dub Name. Not have a Step attached to it.

Dub is entirely Jamaican and its been. No Body has the right to call anything else, Dub step.

Its like calling house music techno step.. Im ready for mother fucking war on this issue because people cant call something anything they just wish. Dub Has a meaning.

  • Dub step New school was Natty Congo.....But these kids are going off Labeling shit they have no clue on and some body needs to step up and school these people.

  • i agree that dubstep is not related to dub or reggea as the rootz of dubstep spring from garage ha

  • I just want to start dancing...

  • One my favorites from King Tubby - mega rare & obscure early 70s dubmix: /watch?v=hPeag6tba90

  • I can feel this music.

  • ye stupid discription its the breaks and tings taken from dub hence the name dub step. people need to stop hating its all music at the end of the day. and ilove it all

  • greaaaaaat!!!!!

  • hahaha wat fucking drop?!?! this is the sound of jah no fucking womp womp shit

  • @samrollup are you Retarded? or Trolling?

  • @BetterThanPornMusic some one was asking where the drop was... this is dub the origin of DUB step this does not have an insane base drop.. and there is good dubstep but that what is called dubstep nowadays is not dubstep its fucked up sounds mingled together by some half ass wanabe music makers.. so if you classify me as retarded or trolling i really don´t care i just enjoy real music like this.

  • @samrollup i agree...for the most part.

though i think people are getting a bit carried away. filthy doesnt always = shit imo.

culprate, ganja white night, dayn...you cant deny that these guys are talented.

  • @samrollup I thinks it's some weir electro shit.

  • early dubstep was pretty much dub style remixes of 2-step garage so the two genres are related you uneducated scamp you :o

now thats out of the love this cut ;)

  • big up King Tubby!

  • @alex2hutton it`s dub dumpone

  • @alex2hutton its subtle, thats what makes dub man, plus if its on a proper big ass rig that bass will make your hair stand on end. not every bit of music needs a nasty drop x

  • if it typen in dubstep in pandora radio i will get reeal dubstep but if i put it in twice i get this and its mint. iknow its dub lol but the uk seem to think dubstep could be related to dub idk but wtfe. lol

  • fogo babilonia aqui o brasil mete gogo tambem sandro 1 rasta de perus

  • IRIE MUSIC..

  • weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed

  • This is one of the best dub tunes I've heard.

  • Not a huge fan of 2-step or dubstep, but I like this, this is one tight mix.

  • @ObscureVD I can't stand dubstep. If you're implying that this is a dubstep mix of a song, you're mistaken. The reason you like this is because this isn't Dubstep It's Dub. It was here first.

  • @hellstoocold Sorry,I wasn't implying that at all,I know this is the real thing.Like I said one hell of a tight mix.

  • what album is this from?

  • Amazing song !!!!

  • STOP STOP STIOP comparing DUB to DUBSTEP they are only connected by the technologies required to mix & sample musical sounds n beats n rhythms, but they produce different sounds. they are completely seperate genres..DUBSTEP is neo dance music, DUB is a deeper more spiritual form of reggae music. both forms require skill & imagination.but they are different sounds....

  • @blynny97 TOTALMENTE DE ACUERDO!

  • Just keep 1 thing in mind : DUB is not DUBSTEP.

  • i love this tune

  • just listening to this makes me feel high even without any drugs!! really good proper music, something that's rare these days :(

  • great post , thanks samvt... one of the illest beats of the King

  • im so high right now.

  • i used to listen to dubstep but im bored of it now. i do admit that most of it nowadays is unoriginal shiet but there are a handful of 'filthy dubstep' artists who do make incredible music imo. and of course there are also the legends like burial, kryptic minds etc.

  • I Like Lemon.

  • dubstep is based on dub music >,>

  • nice dub

  • So wicked!! I'm in the zone...

  • Dubstep wishes it was Dub

  • @1MIDSON wrong... dub is amazing for itself and dubstep is amazing for itself...dubstep has original dub roots anyway and you obv know it... so I think both genres like being themselves :)

  • @BerZerk0fficial Fair enough but personally dubstep to me just seems like an odd sounding electro..thing...but you can obviously tell I don't know much about that area lol :D

  • @1MIDSON I produce dub and dubstep myself and to be fair the beat is pretty much the only thing that connects thw two styles of music together... but the beat is the thing that is the roots as well

  • dubstep = dub + twostep

why not write things like this?

  • Fuuuuuuck yes. I've missed this.

  • Awesome

  • dubragge? raggestep?

  • real dubstep is very closely related to dub, listen to skream ffs!

  • @IAmKingOfTheSquids I agree, the early Dubstep is very "Dub" related and all the "step" is, a swing in the drumbs to create more of a jungle sound. which is also often attributed to Reggae and Dub music.

  • @LatigidGolana The 'step' part of Dubstep actually originates from 2-Step from the U.K Garage scene. This is where you get the lurching drum rhythms from and the drum sound itself. 2-Step was also responsible for the introduction of Sub-Bass and Wobble Bass into Dubstep, one of the main ingredients. Besides why are we talking about Dubstep on a Dub track? Seriously.

  • @36hunters It is being discussed because it is music and origins are important and I have heard many different songs supporting many different claims and honestly it always comes back to Reggae and Dub music so who cares what one compares it to..its music....Seriously.

  • @LatigidGolana You're making the point so don't tell me how it compares.

  • @36hunters I do not know what you mean...You re the one attempting to correct me...I was simply agreeing to another ones comment. Also I said in my last statment that the origins of music are important while also stating that I have heard many different tracks supporting many claims of how one genre of music came to be...then I satated so who cares what "ONE" compares it to because it is music all the same lol...

  • @LatigidGolana i thought your SN was ladygaga for a min lmao

  • @36hunters that sound about right lol

  • @IAmKingOfTheSquids some sad shit right here folks

  • @IAmKingOfTheSquids skream dosent make real dubstep anymore, one of the only one who still makes real dubstep is benga and digital mystikz

  • @plophopfire Don't forget Sukh Knight.

  • Whats the original tune?

  • let's discuss dub step. Is it related to dub or reggae?

  • @JonnyCashmore loosely

  • the main problem with dubstep is the lack of dub, that and all the fucking jugglers who love it!

  • this is officially the best dub ever!! Yes Yes Yes

  • Dubstep is related to dub, sure. Just slowed down and piled with effects. I mean, you take something great and simply change the bass/treble of certain bits and add some more reverberation, and you have dubstep.

  • King Tubby is too amazing. EDM would not be where it is without him. Read up, he was sooo influential for sooo many things.

  • DUB-STEP is very much so related to dub... dubstep was birthed from dub... but reggae birthed dub...

  • dubstep is related to this though.

  • swing my brain no cocaine,

i dont wanna i dont wanna go in same

ana mi sensi nia nami sensi

  • i love dub and dubstep

especially cotti and clukid sensi dub best song in the world for bass

  • Some classic King Tubby.... wish there was more Dub!

  • tanx good tune bruthr. dub inspired the genre but dstep is its own animal, best stuff is when they combined

  • whats dubstep?

  • this is DUBTASTIC! its gotta tastiness to me mouth... :)

  • fuck this shit, this is reggae not dub haha

  • @melbraga01 are you a troll ??? or are you just a retardet american dubstep kiddie... hm

  • @melbraga01 sometimes its best to comment when you dont know anything about what youre commenting on

  • @ExOfficerJimLahey best *not* to... the ganjas clouding my judgement a tad

  • @melbraga01 Dickhead, This is original Dub, "Dubstep" originated from Dub and 2-Step.

  • skrillex for president!!!!!!

  • @melbraga01 Go die, faggot.

  • dubstep - most shittiest songs for kidfags

    nice song btw

  • @Tuxcz I would like to disagree. You probably are thinking of Skrillex or something of the sort. Listen to old school Skream or even 2526/A Made Up Sound. Very good dubstep. I am NOT hating on dub. I love dub just as much. But don't generalize dubstep because of the new type of dubstep being made today.

  • i think people are confusing brostep for dubstep

  • @yoyozohan and dub with dubstep...

  • @Weristhiercool right. they have no clue about music.

  • Dubstep was actually influenced by Dub...Dub is the momma...dubstep the kiddo

  • what riddim is this? It seems really familiar...

  • @whitedwarf13 Hey man, i think it's barry brown - It a go dread

  • @MagicalMelan Thanks a lot dude!

  • generic dubstep rage, skrillex is only music in world and this is bad

  • dub step didnt even come from dub in the first place it came from UK grime instrumentals which are most Jamaicans and grime came from dub... so i dont get all these teenagers spazzing out when their arguments are invalid.

  • Dub is better . end of discussion.

  • I love dubstep but man DUB is the real deal... If it wasnt for DUB most of todays music wouldn't be the same or even have existed!!! Maximum respect for King Tubby, Scientist, Lee Perry and all who pushed it all those years

  • Stop complaining!

Just enjoy this dub song, which has an amazing bass line!

    R.I.P King Tubby.

  • SKRILLEX IS BETTER THAN THIS OMG HIS DISNEYSTEP IS FILTHIER THAN DIRTY OMG LOOOL

  • @TheWonkyMoose SKRILLEX licks king tubby's left nut

  • @gamWtuSgamiadeS you don't get sarcasm do you?

  • dub isnt dubstep

  • @nineball87 everyone needs to liek your comment to get this through

  • @nineball87 and i thank god for this

  • @nineball87 dubstep came from a mix of dub reggae and uk garage

  • @nineball87 I wonder if DUBSTEP is related to DUB and 2 STEP, guess where the name comes from!!

  • @Bassmyface touche.

  • @nineball87 dubstep is inspired by dub.

    Therefore; dub - step.

  • @josen02 And also 2-step garage therfore it's called dubstep. dub from dub ofcourse and step from 2-step. ;D

  • @josen02 the shit people put out now is so far away from what dubstep is though, and it's what most people refer to when referring to dubstep.

  • @nineball87 yea, but dubstep came from dub.

  • @nineball87 exactly!

  • @nineball87 cuz of dub u have genre such as : dnb, dubstep, etc . ..

  • @nineball87

Dubstep is a deriative of dub.

  • @nineball87 dunstep is related, its because it was originally a mixture of dub and half step with raised bass levels, none of this wobble bass shit either

  • Respond to this video... *dubstep

  • @nineball87 word! dub is definitely much better!

  • @nineball87 i got alot of comments on this so. Dub isnt dubstep. i listen to both. Dubstep is derived form dub and two step. Dubstep revolves aorund bass as dub does not. Also both are at different tempos alot of the time. but not always. I wont debate which is better nor how they compare. simply put. dub isnt dubstep. dubstep isnt dub. though they are brothers. and @samvt. you are correct.

real dubstep is stuff like skream, biome, sleeper, dj distance, widowmaker, digital mysikz, etc.

  • watch?v=FTpGZtAq3Zw&feature=channel_video_title for music lovers

  • tags: "dreadlocks"

  • Why is everyone against dubstep?

  • @elvisman2000 cause that shit, gives headaches

  • if dubstep is unrelated then why is it a tag?

  • @g0a1ieguy He wants to show Dubstep listeners that this is much better ;)

  • @g0a1ieguy

    quit hating

     start loving

  • I <3 dub!

  • I disagree dubstep directly originated from dub music i love both of these genres. i dont see how someone who enjoys dub wouldent enjoy skream, plastician, or liquid stranger.

  • Why can't everyone just get along and blaze a load of spliffs :D

  • @ 1:39...., I'm asking myself, what does CHEWBACCA have to do with this song? YOUR guess is as good as mine...

  • Long live dub! :) it doesn't need any more steps :P

  • Just smoke weed.

  • why the fuck is skrillex mentioned on fucking king tubby?

  • i love how the description is sparking the biggest dubstep debate

  • oh yes... strictly crucial... please enjoy... and those of you who can blaze and do blaze.. please one for me to this... Stay Irie My Friends...

  • hm. too lazy to read through the comments, but just going to say that dubstep has its roots in dub. doesn't make it any less shitty of music, but the heavy bass focus, and heavily syncopated rhythms came from dub.

  • @MooIAmMe you are correct. if osbourne ruddock didnt do what he did, somebody else prolly would have figured it out, but it was him as the great grandaddy of dub that paved the way for house, trance, dnb, techno, electro, pretty much every remix ever made, and yes DUBSTEP too.

  • skrillex dosn't make dubstep he makes electronic music at 140-145 bpm

  • This is the worst dubstep I've ever heard.

  • @givebeesachance this is dub not dubstep...

  • @givebeesachance I hope you're not serious...

  • @givebeesachance fuck face its not dubsteb its dub go take a hit of Ecstasy and get hit by a bus. this shit is amazing. fuck dubstep its a headache to culture

  • Fascinating !

  • WHAT IS THIS DOOBSTEP?

  • thumbs up for no reason

  • i can't hear any similarities between dubstep and dub, dub is much better

  • @graspingfagin powerful subbass. crashing snares. spring reverb. minimal percussion. these are but some of the similiarties. dubstep takes alot from dub.drumbass.2step.and electronica. for eg listen to this.and you will see watch?v=-zTHLur3NHg

  • watch?v=3GtxY1fibEo&feature=channel_video_title

  • @HarrisonDunnett dubstep originated from dub

  • fail dubstep became skrillex dub

  • Great track. Love these classics.

If you love dub and like dubstep, check out RSD especial his track Kingfisher and Murderation.

  • love this dub. you can really step to it :D

  • reggae > dub > dubstep > Fail/skrillex

and thats the way the cookie crumbles my friend...but dub was the foundation for dubstep just as gospel music was the basis for rock and roll

  • WHERE CAN i FIND THIS ALBUM!!

  • @arayagerardo Amazon.... It's called 100% of Dub: Select Cuts. Enjoy.

  • good dubstep songs have the dub vibe

  • @JagoReedJones definatley... NOT lol i'm sorry, but the two are totally unrelated. If u didn't know, dubstep originated in the underground scene in Britain, and was considered a very dark and heavy music which didn't become very popular until the early 2000s....

  • @genod308 I do know that I don't listen to the Skrillex shit - but it started when Oris Jay (or someone) started sampling Dub tunes on 2step records and putting the snares on 2/4 in the bar in ode to dub... dub did influence dubstep even though it's lost that vibe now

  • @JagoReedJones i agree. Althoug i think there is good recent dubstep releases, earlier dubstep is recognisably similar to dub. It does have different bpm, and originated in different places, but you dont have to be in exactly the same place as the last genre to come up with an evolution of that genre.

  • @genod308 what you said is true for SOME dubstep

  • @JagoReedJones another factor is that the two music genres have completely different BPMs!

  • can I just point out Dub aint completely unrelated to dubstep though?

  • Love dub! the best!

  • love dub , just love it!!!!!!!!!

  • hey what song and from what album I need this song!!

  • anyone have an idea of what they're saying?

  • Comment removed

  • dub did have something to so with dubstep, it was dub reggae and 2step garage that mixed together, hence dubstep, unfortunatly that was pre 2007 and now dub really has not alot to do with dubstep :/

  • DUB and DUBSTEP have nothing in common. Stupid kids.

  • Attention retards; the only thing dub and dubstep have in common is the half-time snare and bass over double time cymbals. so its like :...|...:...|...:...|...:...|...:...|...: etc. I hope you know what I mean. The little kids trying to compare the two need to stop right now.

  • dubstep is a fusion style of dub music but i like dub more than dubstep :p

  • @Danjldub be my guest bro

  • hahaha I love the guy the guys description. He's probably sick of kids trying to make a correlation between skrillex and old dubbbby shit like this. great track tho

  • @willstanbrook extremely annoying of how the trend of comments has changed over course of just a couple years since the dubcrap explosion
