  • i really hate people that put these bulbs on their vehicles. it blinds oncoming drivers.

  • @classicallyliberal it is illegal to fit them to reflector headlight units in the UK now for that very reason. People are also driving with invalid insurance so risk a hefty fine and confiscation of the car. Idiots of boy racers fitting them fail to understand the reflectors are designed for a regular shape 55w bulb. The HID is thinner and longer so the beam pattern is all over the place. You end up with LESS light where it should be! It shows what idiots they really are...

  • some cops wont care about having a kit above 8000k. but just to be sure i would just get the 8k. plus they look good. althoughh........ blue and purple are the shit. i just dont wana have the risk of pigs pulling me over

  • Beam me up Scotty... warp factor 9 please! lol

  • anything above 8000k is illegal on headlight or fog lights those of you who have never been stopped by the police consider yourself "lucky".

  • @rsxtypes0033 why is that? they arent as bright.

  • @MudLite26 8000k is white/blue 12000k is straight blue, i talked to a police officer once and he said 4300 to 8000k is ok. what they hate seeing is blue purple and pink it messes with peoples vision

  • ever get any issues with cops?

  • Man HID's are the way forward!

Put them on every car i've owned

  • 12K and yellow fogs equals eye noms!

  • why do ya hate on this video he just demonstrating

  • retrofit.

  • that ' s the idea mix 12's w/ 3's PERFECT!!!

  • holy shit, it took 25-30 sec to get to the color where it suppose be at. 6k or 8k is cool with me lol.

  • actually took like 15sec

  • HID are for loooks duh!

  • You obviously know nothing about lights.

4300K-5000K are the best for putting out lumens, or usable light. Anything over 6000K is crap and cuts down how much of the road you can actually see at night.

  • I have 4500K and I love the brightness. I had 30K Deep Blue and Pink and when it rains you can see shit. Even in Projectors you still cant see alot.

  • @dbonanno I must agree, I got 5000K and its pure awesome!

  • very nice hids!!! check out my hids. i'm thinking about getting fog lights!

  • That was awesome.. they really run the whole spectrum as they warm up..

  • HID HID HID HELLO HID HID HID

  • the fog lamps yellow are also 12k ?

  • true yellow fog lamps are 3000k, which put out WAY more light than 12000k. the higher the Kelvin temp, the bluer and weaker the light. 12000k fog lamps would be totally useless in rain or fog. you wouldn't see shit.

    4300K is best for headlights.

  • my stock head lamp is 4300k .. but would 6000k be better ? 6000k is only white not blue yet

  • @dbonanno i have 8 k hids and it gets super foggy on my way to downtown at 3am and my hids improves visibility way better than regular oem bulbs

  • No yellow fogs are like 3ks,the headlights are 12ks.

  • i had blue lights until i got a ticket for them

  • For real ? where u live at? cause most the cops dont even care anymore

  • NY......actually got pulled over for blue plate lights and then got me for blue headlights....illegal stuff hehhe, ill go back evetually..i miss them very much

  • they now come on some mercedes and beamers

  • nice tC man. really likin the 12k with the 3ks. i just ordered 10ks cause im looking for the deep blue awesome look. im thinkin of also doing 3k foglights on my subaru. should look sweet. 5 stars.

  • hey dude i want that dark sweet blue look too my HID lights R light Blue i dony know how much K i have wen i bought them they installed them & didnt give me the box lol so i want that blue your talkin about would i just have 2 buy bulbs with more K?

  • Well, first off, you should deffinetly ask the company that installed them just to get a deffinet answer, i actually installed mine couple weeks ago when i posted the comment, and they are 10k HIDs, they actually appear as a light blue when im driving, so you could have 10ks, or 8ks, 8ks give out more lumens(brightness, they're actually brighter). So yeah, my 10ks are light blue on the street too. but compared to everyones halogens they look blue as fuck. especially when i first turn them on.

  • when i first turn them on they turn blue as FUCK just like the one in this video and then they lighten up in color as they get warmer.

  • tc all d way baby

  • Holy glare. Don't be a cheap bastard, invest in some projectors and get them retrofitted...

  • 10000K??? ouch make a vid and show me, i gotta pass a few cops tho to see there reaction to them :D

  • you'll probable get pulled over for them

i have 8K and 6K in my fogs. but i have a halogen headlight so the light skatters. i got pulled over a couple times for them

  • I wont but the vid poster will, its his car not mine :)

  • u are right but it depends on brands becuase sum 12k's are still blue and these are the ones im looking for but i dont know where to get them at

  • I think u may struggle, any reason for 12000K? they are way dimmer than 6000K or 8000K and they should still have a slight blue tint to give the "daylight" driving effect, idealy the daylight hids will give better visability on road signs and markings, too blue a colour and you may as well not have any lights on at all so dont go over the top when choosing.

  • yeah i know but i want purple lights not blue and sum green 3000k foglights and yeah n blue

  • Depends whos heads ur turning, not the cops i hope...

  • does anyone know where hese bulbs can be bought?

this guy hasnt logged in for 2 years and he wont reply

  • dude man, just go on EBAY and look up 12000k HID kit, you will get lots of products and for a good price, but you will get pulled over if you want these in your vehicle...

  • the musclemilk is right... if you get a 12k, ull get pulled over most of the time,, so just get 8k or 10k the most..

  • Comment removed

  • for purple, the you have to go to a higher kelvin... prolly, 16 or 18k...

  • Comment removed

  • yeah bro,,, if you wanna get a purple.. you could get a generic brand that wouldn't be as dark as what you expect and its cheap too, its around $65 and its worth it.. if you get those $200 ones, its a good HID and that would be a dark purple light and that could get you a hassle wth the po po..

  • k kool I be waiting!!!

  • so 8000k wont b a problem?

  • horrible

  • r 10000k illegal?

  • Anything over 8000K is illegal, basically any colour other than white is illegal, a slight blue tint should be ok, but the nice policemenofficers hate anything realy blue.

  • HID's are illegal in a halogen housing. if you have a HID projector head lamp you can run what ever color you want because the projector controls the light. with a halogen head light the light skatters and is not controlled!!

  • Any colour like green or red then......

White is the colour to be used, common sense tells you that, just think the only thing that maked HIDs different colours is a filter over the lamp and that obviously meens that liight output is reduced out resulting in lower light output, so, white is the colour that the law chooses.

  • its 12000k

  • I have a question are those real HID's and are all of the 12000k HID lights really purple because i want something with a lot of blue color to match my blue accord...i dont care if they have a little bit of purple but like 75% blue

  • you'd be happy with 10000K ...and it wont attract the cops as the 12000K ...because thats just pushing for trouble...

  • good luck going past those cops =/

  • what is the problem with the cops down here in Florida they don't give a shit about hid lol i have 20k on top and 30k on bottom like 2 years i have never been stop by a cop for my hid

  • wow, in jersey youll get stopped for anything over 6k and definitely get ticketed.

  • 20k would be invisible to the human eye...

  • what are you on about?

  • wouldn't 20k be ultraviolet? i prolly wrong but jumping from 5k being pure white, seems like 20k would be really hard to see with.

  • nope, you can get 30k from the shops and see them fine!

  • my mistake. still don't think the reflection off the road would be very good though

  • ya it would be pinkish

  • there is 32 k and there making 35 k

  • ballast problems?

  • they take time to warm-up

  • damn good shit

  • i should of went with 12K but i got 8K instead. looks good dude!

  • thats tight but 10k would be good enough...i use to have the jdm type civic fog lights also...everyone has it now...change your fog lights to the same color hid's as your head lights and i bet that shit would look sweet.

  • daaamn! great... wtf yellow foglights :S

  • I dout like hid

  • So..are they illegal even if you have projectors?

  • technically all hid kits are illegal if they do not come with your car. i think there is one kit made by philips that is supposed to be legal but im not sure.

  • 6000K in my TL is enough for me

  • Very nice lights!! I kinda liked the combo with the yellow fogs there. Nice touch. I think I might get the 12k purples. They are beautiful.

  • 10k is enough for me

  • did you haver get pulled over for having 12,000k

  • ill shove some horses in your ass...

  • Haha, that's really funny. Thanks for you clever joke.

  • ur joke just made it to the hall of lame

  • are these 35 w or 55 w?

  • Anything above 10K is pretty much a bust in Illinois. Unless you have projectors then you can put whatever the heck you want!

  • ANY HID retrofit is illegal, unless you are using factory parts (i.e. MACH HID kit for a SVT Focus, etc). Kelvins don't matter, it's the HID retrofit itself. However, this didn't stop me from doing to my Honda CBR 600RR.

  • I currently have 6000K HIDs on a standard headlamp in a 96 Honda Accord. Never been pulled over. You can check it out in my videos.

  • I don't doubt that you do, but that fact is that it's illegal to retrofit HIDs unless they came from the car manufacturer that way.

  • I've been pulled over twice for my 12k's and both times the cop had to let me go cause they were actually legal! This is in Texas so I don't know about any other state.

  • holy bright purple batman!

  • Im getting a HID 8000k conversion kit and i already have a custom sound system installed...hope it doesnt fry my battery

    VERY impressive lights though 8)

  • HID's are 3 times brighter and only use 35w compared to your regular bulbs that use 55w. you'll be fine

  • That is if he gets the REAL HID's and not the HID Simulating Halogens.

  • HAHAHA I love it when the dudes that think they're hot shit say, "Yo man, I got HIDs!" I end up laughing hysterically when he turns them on...Priceless comedy.

  • have you been pulled over for those yet? what brand are those?
